I had gone out drinking with friends and was desperately seeking a late-night bite when I found this place on a visit to Seattle over the summer. The food was fantastic - and no, not just b/c I was drunk ;) The service was solid and the venue was very nice. I love that they are open late, have a great menu and use quality ingredients. I will be coming back for more and bringing my friends.

Ventana Restaurant - CLOSED

Ventana was just ok. I tried several dishes and felt that they were trying too hard to be different and missing the point of just creating awesome tasting food - an example of this was the soy salt edamame which tasted incredibly intense, like pungent miso, rather then the more fresh and clean flavor that one might typically expect... add to that, it's small plates, so it ended up being quite pricey when all was said and done. I wasn't super happy with it and wouldn't go back or recommend it unless the menu changes as they mature.

I'd heard good things about Belltown Pizza and desperately wanted it to be a 5, but alas, it was pretty ordinary. Nothing wrong with it, but I tried a few different combinations and all of them were just fine. I would dine here again, but wouldn't make it a top recommended pizza place for my friends.

Super friendly staff - they always give my pup treats, so extra credit for that :) I love that they have more then one veggie sandwich option - rare to find, especially for such a small venue - I think there are four. Also, the drip coffee is good and they have a reasonable wine selection, which is nice for a corner market. The only thing I'd really like to see them do better is increasing the amount of produce - maybe just adding a couple of basic items in the fridge, so if needed, this could be a one-stop-shop for dinner in a pinch.

This is definitely your grandparents' club... while there's nothing wrong with grandparents, there is a time when we should all realize we need a little extra work to be presentable for guests. The WAC is VERY stuffy and there version of "elegance" stems from an era when gold trim was in and what qualified you as a legit venue was how many white collars met here after banking hours.

WAC, meet 2009! The world is changing and so are the expectations of your younger clientele. Just a few of the  reasons I'm ending my membership with you are:

1) you have carpeting in the gyms that's toxic, traps germs and smells terrible - I visited one of your floors and had to jump back into the elevator because of the odor!

2) You're overprice for what you offer - after being an Exquinox member at 2 of their clubs, it's hard to be okay with this.

3) Your pool (one of the main reasons we joined) is too warm and uncomfortable for competitive swimmers to work out in.

Modern luxury is not about Rolex watches and gold elevators, it's about non-toxic materials and handcrafted body products that make you feel like you're doing something gooood for yourself when you go to the gym.

I love being able to walk down to Macrina for fresh baked bread - such a luxury! The bakery side is fantastic and hasn't let me down yet... the brunch side can be a little hit or miss - though mostly it's been a hit for me... you can't go wrong with their overly-decadent brioche french toast... believe it. Also, the espresso drinks are fantastic - I live for the Macrina cap with their vanilla sugar and a little cinnamon dust over the top... yum!

The food was good - I ordered several veggie dishes and they were all nice. The service was pleasant and the venue was clean and stylish. I'd go back again, though I may want to check out this amazing happy hour the other Yelpers are referring to next time ;)

Jazz Alley is a classic club that gets some great acts and it's a lovely venue to see a show, so I'm a big fan from that perspective and will definitely be back again. On the other hand, the food was pretty bad, so I'll plan to dine ahead of time and just grab drinks during the show next time unless there are some changes to the menu.

Seriously awesome. Had a GREAT meal here along with excellent service. We were on our way to the airport with two huge bags and no where to store them and the staff was so cool about grabbing them for us and taking them to stow in the back without me even needing to ask - super nice because I always feel awkward asking for favors like that... anyhow, the food was fantabulous, the wine went down easy and it was a good night ;)

All the food I've had here is fine - nothing to write home about, but still quite tasty. They also have a nice happy hour that runs late in the bar area, which is a plus. On the downside, I haven't had that super amazing dish here yet, the service is not great (by any stretch) and it can get quite loud - like you can't hear your date loud - on busy nights... I was also there on a night when a crazy guy fired off 10-20 shots into the air outside, so that speaks to the part of town... I'll definitely try it again, but I'm planning to make a point of going earlier and weeknights only.
