I do love me a good slice of pie!  I love to support the small businesses in Downtown Torrance.  
This is such a cute little place!  I forgot to take photos, but I do plan on going back to taste more from their menu...so photos will soon be posted.
We ordered a garden salad, which actually is a Caprese salad.  This already got me excited because I love a good Caprese.  Although the tomato slices and buffalo mozzarella slices were not evenly sliced, they get points for great fresh ingredients.  Taste trumps presentation!
Our pizza of choice was half mushroom, half cheese...was it large, or extra large?  I can't seem to remember, but it was huge.  The crust was good and the sauce was good.  Overall a very good pizza!  Since this was a New York style pie, I did feel the requirement to fold it it half and take a bite.
On the negative side...they were going to charge us $2.50 processing fee to use credit card, so we used cash instead.

Since most people are comparing Freebirds to Chipotle, I'll give my view also...

I love the salad here and so much better than Chipotle.  So many more choices to put on the salad and so much larger!  Gotta love the roasted garlic too!  The dressings are all pretty tasty, my favorite is the tomatillo.

As far as the chips and salsa, they give way more than the skimpy bag full of air at Chipotle.

I'm not much for loud music,  and it can be a little hard to hear the person putting my salad together.  Overall, the employees were all friendly and very helpful.

What a great experience!

Personal sauna rooms with a TV and cd player...next time I will bring my own soothing music.  I opted for no TV because I wanted to be able to relax...and relax I did.  The forty minutes went by quickly.  Be sure to stay hydrated with water!

I will be back for more sessions!

You know how you crave something at a particular restaurant because you haven't had it in a while...Well I'm still craving it.

To my surprise, this place is under new management.  New management means there are changes.  The menu is different, the atmosphere is different, the ramen is different...and not for the better.

I've been craving the Curry Ramen that kept me coming back every now and then.  Off the menu!  What!?  Okay, since I'm here I'll try their ramen.  Meh is all I can say.  The freshness I loved about this place is gone...No local farmer's market veggies in my ramen, no unique flavors.

The decor is bare bones which makes for a cold environment.  The tables were all askew and we were the first ones there.  Food came out fast and the server was friendly.  That's about it.

My sister, Harmonie T., has been raving about this place, so I finally went to see what all the fuss was about...

WOW is all I can say!  

Greeted with a smile and a short line...which was fine because looking at the menu was a little overwhelming because EVERYTHING sounded all so delicious!

Now, I eat more vegetarian on most days, so I don't look too much at the meat inclusive choices.  I was sold on the Caprese sandwich.  I love me some Caprese and this certainly did not disappoint! " Local Gioia fresh mozzarella, tomato, house marinated red peppers, basil pesto, Scarborough Farm's greens, balsamic vinegar on ciabatta "   SOO YUM!

I got to have a bite of Scott's Vegan Shwarma, which was just as YUM!  We also had the housemade pickles, Curry Orzo, Vegan broccoli soup and a bag of Mama Zuma's habanero chips.  Okay, the chips were not made there, but I had to see what that was about.  Everything was sooo tasty.

Already thinking about what to get the next visit!

This is only because they would not honor a price that was in my email advertisement which I had printed out to show them.  The so-called manager (really person in charge) showed me their flyer and said this is the only thing she knows and cannot honor that price and that I was to go online and order.  I stated that the price says in store only and it also specifically said the date on the ad, but she was still would not honor the price...

I used to be a supervisor at a Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts, I know the policies and if a customer came to me with that kind of proof, I would have honored the price...

The best ice  cream in the South Bay!!!

I was surprised to not find a line here on such a beautiful sunny day in Torrance.  I guess everyone was still at the beach.

I love the ice creams here, and the choices are many!!!  I ordered the lemon ice in a dish ( don't need the extra calories right now) , the perfect amount of pucker to satisfy my craving!  

Then I noticed that they had a red velvet cake flavored ice cream...intrigued?...I was, so I asked for a sample and this did not disappoint.  It was truly red velvet cake!  I will be back, possibly on  $2 buck Tuesday! (which just so happens to be tomorrow! Whoo hoo!)

My whole hula class bombarded the place after practice to celebrate a few June birthdays.

Good times are always had when we all get together.  The workers were all very nice and with smiles on their faces when a lot of us first-timers asked questions I'm sure they hear constantly.

There are many flavors to choose from and many additions to add.  I went with a simple 3 flavor with watermelon, guava and lychee.  Soo good!  I am a huge watermelon fan, so if the watermelon is good, I'm in!  and yes, the ice was like snow, melt in your mouth!

I didn't even notice that they offer ice cream sandwiches, so I will be going back to taste those, but they do look ono in the photos posted here!

To me, this is more of a novelty restaurant.  Sure you see how many people are on the waiting list before you on the video monitor and sure it's fun to play on the ipad looking at all the options you can choose (and there were plenty), but I'm here for the food.

Everyone was super friendly.  I guess it's place to bring friends before heading to the movie theaters.  The place was super echo-y, which muffled the music.  I couldn't understand what one (I'm assuming by the way he was dressed) manager was saying, so I just nodded with a smile saying "I'm fine, thank you"  Oh, and you do need to swipe a credit card on the ipad before you can order, so if you don't have a CC, you are out of luck.

I ordered the vegetarian pizza and a greek salad.  The pizza was good had lot's of vegetables and was very filling.  The greek salad was a little sweeter for my taste, however, was very good also.  Now, I'm not much of a meat eater, so I opted out of a burger...I did notice the options of a veggie patty and a salmon patty, which perhaps will try next time.  

The best part of the meal was the dessert.  For $2.50, you can have a cookie sandwich, just the perfect size.  I went for the snickerdoodle strawberry ice cream cookie sandwich.  This may be worth coming back for!  There are many cookies to choose from as well as many ice cream choices....so many different combinations to be had!

I liked the interaction of the servers, like I said, everyone was super friendly...so I don't really get the ordering on the ipad, other than you don't have anyone else to blame if your order comes out wrong...
