You probably already know whether the prospect of eating Indian food from a restaurant located in a trailer park that is surrounded by chopper bikes decked out with butterfly wings or strung together with a bone-dragon exoskeleton and is run by tattooed hipsters is at all appealing. Regardless of your opinion of the ambiance (my response: holy s--- this is amazing), the food is delicious and highly customizable to your needs. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. And if you ask them hard they'll make your curry actually spicy (note that I conquered the infamous Phaal challenge at Bricklane Curry House in NYC without so much as a scowl or a flinch [i did sweat, however]).

The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that the staff is, predictably, a touch flighty, but you wouldn't want it any other way.

As soon as I stepped on to the patio and gazed upon the Austin urbanscape and glanced around at picnic tables full of smiling people and pitchers of craft beer I thought, MAN, I wish there were bars like this in the north east. It's like having a grown-up party at a friend's house without having to have friends who are grown-ups and have houses.

Good beer, friendly service, excellent ambiance. Would drink again.

Melinda is the only person I will pay to cut my hair. Recently I asked her for a trim before I went to a fancy conference and everyone was like OMG YOUR HAIR IS AMAZING and either handed me (Ulysses S.) Grants on the spot or invited me to fly to bigger cities to talk srs shop. I couldn't have done this without her. The haircut she gave me did more than make me feel like a better person; it actually made me a better person. I became even nicer to my parents and I suddenly had the ability to calculate natural logarithms in my head. My biceps swelled and I grew a couple inches, too.

If I were to stumble into wealth I would buy Melinda a house next to mine so I could always have the freshest kickin'-est haircuts.

No matter what you think of this review, you should check out my profile picture for an example of Melinda's work.

I walked in here with a friend for a quick drink before heading to the airport. Despite the generally fratty atmosphere (a negative in my book), I was surprised by how friendly the bartender was - we ordered Blue Moons and, as a consolation for lacking citrus to complement our hefeweizen, the bartender poured shots of orange rum into our bottles. This was delicious and awesome.

Note that the burrito buffet is actually a burrito bar. That is, one burrito only. This burrito was relatively tasty, but the limitation in quantity resulted in burrito blue-balls, curable only by an emergency flight to CA for infinite amounts of fresh-mex food. Thus scratching my burrito itch cost $200 instead of $10.

Plus I was upcharged $1 for not buying a drink and I would have purchased a drink had I known I would be upcharged.

Big-ass spicy falafel wraps for 6.75. One of the best vegan options in Austin during, uh, /that/ festival.

Service is fast if curt. The vegetarian broth is pretty good - it's clear and light yet still has some flavor, and it interacts well with the basil and chili. It's neither the most flavorful nor the most authentic pho I've had, yet it's holistically pleasing and I always feel healthy and satisfied after eating it. I find myself eating here once a week and it's always a delight.

Bland vegetarian broth, but still decent pho with pleasant service. Don't avoid it but don't seek it out, either.

UPDATE: there is an assortment of no fewer than six spices available to flavor your food. These spices are delicious.

Delicious food and great service! The most flavorful vegan broth I have ever tasted + they respected my request for actual spice. Huge servings and great prices as well. Would definitely eat here again.

It's more expensive and less tasty than Fasika, but it's considerably more accessible and more date acceptable as there is full table service and nice decoration. Food's tasty and reasonably spicy.
