The food is excellent. I chose the chicken fried steak and fries. I loved every bit of my meal. The steak was done to perfection, and fast! The cream gravy was also very well done.
The portion size was OK. I've had much larger, but also much smaller. I would categorize it as medium size. It's actually just right.
If you want fresh, great tasting food and fast this is the place.

The Pizza is better than average, but to me it lacked seasoning. The cheese was great and the toppings seemed fresh, but I wasn't impressed with the dough or the sauce.
It just seemed largely tasteless, some might prefer it that way I just have had better, hence the 3 star review.
It certainly beats the chain pizza places, but I can't rave about something I am not crazy about.
The service was fine. You go in, place your order at the counter and wait. You also get your own drinks. They give you a paging device that goes off when your pizza is ready.
I would go back again if someone else were wanting to go, but I don't think I would choose it myself.
If your in the area looking for something to do, it's not a bad choice.
Every dish I tried was excellent and tasted as if you might order it off a menu at a really nice Chinese restaurant.
From the outside it doesn't appear to be anything special, but when you walk in the place is nicely decorated and the place smells great, unlike some other buffets around town.
We went at kind of an odd time on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30 PM and the place was probably 65-70% full. Everything on the buffet looked fresh and presentable. They really pay attention to the food here. I saw a few times where people made a mess loading up their plates and the staff were right on top of it cleaning it up and making it presentable again.
I must say I was also impressed that they did not let anything on the buffet get low either. They were fast to cook and bring out fresh portions to the buffet and there was nothing that they were ever out of on the buffet line.
My favorites were the sweet and sour chicken (very fresh and tasty), the Mongolian beef (best ever on any buffet), Jalapeno Chicken (wow just the right amount of spice), and the Korean Chicken (excellent, amazing this is a buffet).
They also have freshly made pizzas and a selection of food that the kids would like as well, I didn't try the "American food" but the pizza was calling my name just because it looked so fresh and delicious. I'll sample it next time.
Also the desserts were nice, they had the soft serve, several puddings, fudge, and cakes that were all great. So many times at the buffets something is lacking but not here, hence the 5 star review. The food, service, and cleanliness are top notch and I will be back the next time I'm in the mood for Chinese.

After reading some folks complain about the salsa here I must admit I was a little worried, maybe they changed it, but it was excellent on my last trip.
My only complaint about our meal would be the queso dip was pretty tasteless, but for me that's not a deal breaker. I sampled the Cheese Enchiladas, Quesadillas, re-fried beans, rice.. All were to my liking and tasted as Mexican food should taste.
For now, I think I will be a regular, as I can take my family of five out for diner and get out for under $40 after tax (before tip).

The queso was excellent, the salsa was above average, but not as spicy as I prefer.
I ordered the Tex-Mex dinner and that consists of a crispy taco, a taco al carbon with queso over the top, a cheese enchilada, and rice and beans.
I started with the taco al carbon, I was very happy. The beef fajita inside was perfectly seasoned, and the queso over the top went so well, I highly recommend this. Next I moved over to the cheese enchilada, again excellent I really enjoyed it.
I saved the crispy taco for last.. this was a disappointment. First the shape of the taco shell makes it very hard to eat. I did my best and the taco ended up a broken mess on my plate, so I grabbed my fork to finish it off. Even then I was disappointed because the ground beef was very poorly seasoned, which was a surprise after finishing the fajita beef that was perfectly seasoned.
The refired beans were good. Nothing to complain about there.
The pralines they bring at the end of the meal were also a nice touch.
I also have to say that the service on our last visit was excellent. We ate there on a busy Sunday evening and the chips kept coming along with fresh salsa. The staff were very professional and courteous.
We will return again as it is close to our home, it seems you just have to know what is good and what is not.

I must say that the Queso dip was excellent, it didn't last long on our table.
The salsa was different. It had a great flavor, but IMO it could have been a little spicier and it would have been excellent.
I ordered the cheese tex-mex enchiladas and they were fine. I can't say they were the best I have ever had, but definately better than average. I also thought the re-fried beans were well done too.
My youngest daughter loved the place and was asking to come back again before we even left.
All in all a nice dining experience.
When we arrived at the restaurant the smell outside was amazing which also boosted my expectations even more. While standing in line and reading the menu I noticed that the choices were somewhat limited.
A BBQ place without fries? Are you kidding? OK, I guess that's not the end of the world. You can choose from Beans, Beans, Jambalaya, or potato salad. Don't like any of those? To bad.
I ordered the jalapeno sausage plate with pinto beans and jambalaya.
The sausage was nice, but for the money the portion is relatively small. The sauce was OK, I generally liked my meal but I don't feel I got good value for my money.
The Pecan Pie was very tasty and I did enjoy that. Not sure that I will return for a second go around tho.

Do yourself a favor and pickup the bacon and cheese when you go, you won't be disappointed. The only downside is, that it seems they are quite busy and all of the times I have gone they are low on the Kolaches that I want.
Date

I had eaten at Sam's old location several years ago and it is just as good now as they used to be.
I will be back again for another All Day Burger again soon.
