There are lots of things to do like playing pool or darts, or simply staring at the chicks in lingerie behind the bar. (You guys know who you are).
Dodey really knows how to light up a room and make everyone feel special and glad they came. Watch out for her though, she has been known to walk around shouting "Vodka shot for your beer?" and that can be downright dangerous.
I'm not going to blow the secret on the newbie initiation but it is hilarious to watch and fin to partake in. If you are in the neighborhood I highly recommend stopping in for a pint. Just don't blame me if you end up taking a cab home.

The happy hour is where it's at: From 3-6pm they do $1-5 tapas. Some of the menu items include hummus, baba, garlic dip, lemon chicken, mussels and shrimp. Also $1 off beer and wine. A happy hour that starts at 3? Now that'smy kind of spot.
The test itself is pretty gross, you have to drink Barium and roll around like a guinea pig while they xray your stomach. The nurse and the xray tech were both really nice and friendly and explained everything along the way.
If you find yourself in a situation where you have to get a GI screen, I would recommend Desert Valley. The staff was polite and professional and made me an uncomfortable experience almost pleasant.

We went to this location for dinner the other night and it was absolutely horrible. The service was incredibly slow, we ordered and it took over an hour and a game of chase with our waitress to finally get our food. We complained to her about the wait and she offered no apology. When we finally did get our food it was cold.. Not luke warm, but cold. In addition to that, the famous Southwestern Eggrolls were a soggy mess. I rarely complain to a manager but this situation warranted a big complaint.
The manager was nice and gave us 20% off the bill and a free gross dessert to go. We ended up pitching it in the trash, it was completely inedible. Chili's you have officially made the Blacklist.
The service was incredibly fast and both times our waitress was friendly (and she even remembered us from the day before ..
If I lived in Sedona I could see myself becoming a regular here for breakfast. It is a diner, but a pretty solid one when you are looking for a no frills breakfast.
Not impressed and won't be back.

Mabel's On Main

Last night I was wowed by Mabel's. We had a fundraiser for a great friend who has cancer and they not only let us throw it there FOR FREE, but generously offered to donate 20% of the bar tab to the cause. The service was great that night and they earned a fan for life. Thanks Mabel's, for being so cool, you're a breath of fresh air.
I may have a drink on the patio some day, but I will not eat at this place again.

When we arrived we were told there was a 45 minute wait. I looked around at all the empty tables... Hmm.. So where are all these people and where are they waiting?
She points me next door to a really cool and swanky lounge. I couldn't tell if this was an extension of the restaurant or a separate entity. Either way it was pretty cool. We sat down and ordered a drink, then not 5 minutes later the hostess came in and told us table was ready. Now I can't really complain that our 45 minute wait turned in to a 5 minute wait, but honestly with all the empty tables in the place it felt as if they were trying to turn people away.
The starter bread was fresh and the pesto was divine. We ordered the eggplant rollatini to start and were sorely disappointed at the mushy mess placed in front of us. It had the consistency of soggy enchiladas and try as I might I could not find eggplant through all the cheese.
I ordered a salad and it was forgotten, I asked for it again after we got our main and it was forgotten. The main was a cavatelli something: Pasta, tomatoes, bell pepper, onion and sausage. It was decent, but I could have made it better myself at home.
We also ordered a $32 bottle of Pinot Noir. Now I know that there is a huge mark up on bottles of wine, but please take the AJ's $7.99 price tag off before putting it down in front of me.
3 stars for venue alone. The patio absolutely rocks and the new lounge next door is great for after dinner cocktails. The food and service need a little work, but I'll probably come back and try the pizza.

This studio is large and well equipped. There are changing rooms and showers and it is well kept up. If you happen to forget the bare necessities when coming to class you can rent a towel and they will provide you with water. I can't for the life of me see how this happens, but they have you covered if it does.
The instructors are all a bit different, and all very capable. (Gemma is my favorite).
I keep coming back here over other places in the valley because I really enjoy the class packages. You can buy 1, 5, 10, 25, monthly ect.. It is very flexible and there is no time limit on them (obviously other than the monthly packages..) They often run specials 10-20% off so signing up for the mailing lists is fruitful.
If you have never tried Bikram before make sure you bring your mat, a towel and water and come WELL HYDRATED.
