Pure deliciousness. You could taste every spice, every ingredient when biting into the food and know that the chef behind this put a lot of thought & Love into it. This is the type of restaurant that foodies would love, and even people who don't live to eat could really appreciate.

We went on a Friday night with a reservation (recommended) and although they didn't have a seat for us inside right away, the bar was just perfect with a friendly bartender who really understood the menu and was passionate to make us the best drinks. The plates are meant to be shared, and that way you get a taste of it all. We started with the Crispy Fava Beans - SO good with a touch of spiciness. Also, the signature "Baco Sandwiches", we shared the Oxtail Baco Sandwich. The touch of Arugula in there gave it a real kick. And to end, the Beef Langua Ravioli. I had the Vodka Shrub (or you can order with Gin - Ginger Shrub and Baco Soda) which went perfect with our meal.

The ambiance is great for any day of the week. Dimmed to perfection, great for parties, dates, friends. We comfortably sat for hours and didn't feel rushed to leave. Highly recommended!!!

I've been here a few times and it's a welcoming Indian cuisine in West LA. Very standard North Indian cuisine with delicious creamy curry and they can make it as spicy as you'd like. I'm definitely a fan and would come back.

I've had the Lamb curry, Chicken Vindaloo... I likeee.

I've been coming to The Wax Shop for 5 years. I've never had a reason to deter and always refer friends. Tanya is quick, in & out in 10 minutes, extremely clean and cheap! Costs 35$ for a full bikini wax. You could typically schedule an appointment within the week. Highly recommended!!

Not my favorite Ramen place. Partly because they only have the thin noodles (like thin-spaghetti or somen noodles), not the usual ramen noodles. I ordered the tonkotsu kotteri (fatty broth with garlic oil) and my friend ordered the one with soy sauce. We both felt that the broth was too creamy although my Kotteri was pretty flavorful. The service was o-k.

I wouldn't highly recommend it, but it'll satisfy your ramen fix if needed.

I use to come here all the time for the Hot Pot, that was good from what I remembered although it was over a decade ago, I'd say 4/5.

I had the Teppanyaki tonight and that was a generous 2.3, so the 3 rating is to balance it out. I've always loved Benihana but there was over an hour wait so we came here. It was very low in quality and gross. Between the 3 of us, we got the filet, scallop (soggy/fishy), lobster and shrimp. The flavoring was very bland, the veggies (zucchini, onions, mushrooms, bean sprouts) came out soggy. The only thing making the fried rice decent was the pounds of butter (culinary magic). Benihana gets away with the pounds of butter because its Garlic butter which is pure gluttonous heaven. So if I'm going to indulge in a heart attack meal, at least it would have to be something tasty! The dessert at the end was a little cup of canned sugary fruits. And to top it off, the chef didn't have the corny, cute tricks per usual :(

If I could put it in a few descriptions: 1) BLAND 2) SOGGY 3) SLOPPY. not coming back for Teppanyaki.

I love this Jamaican style shack by the beach. Great ambiance, a spot to relax with good friends on afternoons and weekends to transport you into the Caribbean. Laid back culture, BYOB.

But I'm not sure what all the hype is about as far as the food goes. But then again, the food I have had in the Caribbean have always been a bit bland, so maybe this restaurant is on par with it's cooking? The sauce is tasty. I tried the Jerk Chicken dish. The Chicken Enchilada. The Spinach cheese Quesadilla. All mediocre, but it's worth going and the whole atmosphere makes the food taste better.

Healthy Chicken Cafe

This is my new fav. neighborhood joint. The food is delicious considering how much healthier it is than most Indian restaurants. The mainstream dishes we all eat: chicken tikka, vindaloo, curry, saag are mainly north indian food which is so tasty because of all the ghee, salt & cream they use. This place does not use those fatty ingredients but still is tasty. You can order off the front ready window (2 item/3 item meals) or have him custom make it. The Veggie dishes are vegan, the Papadum is DELISHHHly spicy along with the spicy Chutney.

You can walk out of there spending 13$ tops including rice, raita, chai, mango lassi, 3 diff dishes.. and I find myself comfortably resting there for hours watching Bollywood videos and inhaling the fragrant hookah smell from next door.

Talk about a true hole-in-the-wall.. this small shack is located on the very edge of HK plaza, you'd really have to search for it (follow the stank of the stinky tofu!). An authentic Taiwan street food joint featuring all the favorites. Best known for their Stinky Tofu.. but the other small bites are delicious as well.

I love Sonoma Wine Garden for weekend Brunches and afternoon relaxation. The attraction is the set up on the outside (a gorgeous open garden overlooking the beach with loungey couches) so make sure to go when it's sunny, and if not, there's always heat lamps! It's a great place for birthdays, large groups, dates, and evenings. Their breakfasts are pretty good. The entrees aren't their specialties, but they are seasonal so you never know. The all-meat pizza is delishhh.

The appetizers are the best, great for sharing!! Everything I've tried have been delicious & fresh, including the cheese/meat plates, Raw Oysters (very Fresh!), steamed mussels, Pork belly skewers, Truffle Fries!!!! Show owner comment »
