I do miss Hard Times Cafe, but this will definitely do to takes its place.
They have transformed this restaurant! Red, black and white surround and 50s-ish diner is here! The place is much more open and bright than it used to be.
Service was quite slow, but good.
Had the black bean burger - which looked overgrilled, but was very tasty. The avocado did have some black marks and will hope they will take notice next time before adding them to my burger. Sweet potato fries were good, but not crunchy.
Husband had Monte Cristo. Though he longs for the heart attack version from Bennigan's, this was a nice take on an old favorite. Onion rings were good, but nothing memorable.
I don't like malts, husband loves them. $6 is very pricey for what you get - but it was worth it. It was VERY good. Perfect consistency.
Will be back.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries
Category: Burgers
Good, back yard, homecooked style burger. Fries are generally good, though not cooked long enough to make them a little crispier. I think by putting salt on hot fries and then letting them steam up in a styrofoam cup does them no good.
One annoying thing about this particular location is the nail salon next door. I almost always have to get mine to go because the nail salon smell actually over powers burgers and fries!
Overall, good place for a burger, fries and a hot dog.

Thought this was a great little restaurant. Love the fact that even though they have naan on the buffet, they prepared fresh naan for us without asking.
They only have one meat dish (chicken tikka masala) - wish they would have a couple more.
Despite being New Years Day and not another sole in the place, still felt fresh on the buffet. Will definitely be back and will hope for weekend lunch.
Parking can be a bit of an issue if going during normal weekdays.
Hopefully more people will try this place and keep them here!

OTB gets four stars only because they are the ONLY place that you can get decent Tex Mex in Raleigh.
Going in off hours will not yield a wait; going during dinner time could have you waiting upwards of an hour. They have forgotten about me on more than one occasion resulting in a longer than an hour wait.
They have decent service. Some of the waiters remember me, which is nice.
The kitchen almost has more than three or four times gotten my order wrong -- but they always fix it with ease. Chips and salsa (when not too salty) are the best. Their flour tortillas have had a bit of an off season as they are often delivered hard around the edges. They have changed up their menu several times in the last year and most changes are for the better, though it is hard to beat a couple of good ole fashioned cheese and onion enchiladas with chili con carne!

I have been a few times and it is constitently OK. It is never my first choice but is so conveniently located.
It is a small place but if you get the right seat it is a good people watching place.
Never had their pasta only pizza. If you are going to get pizza though, you must get the Grandmas pizza. It it excellent.
Waiters are magic as they can just disappear.

I have been to Biaggis several times and they are pretty good, though not terribly consistent. Their prices are OK for a chain and definitely a good deal for lunch. Their minestrone soup is very good and probably one of the best I have had. Portions are large. Their bread is good, but again not consistent. The olive oil dipping is nice because they add Parmesan and black pepper.
It can be noisy when they are busy. They do seem to over seat each waiter and that can lend to slower service.
If you need to use the restrooms they are nicely decorated and kept clean which is nice.

Haven't been here in quite some time. I see they have remodeled and like someone else said-- it has lost a little of the charm it once had. It now seems like a posh little Italian place that obviously feels like it needs to cater to the people that live around here. Too bad.
As for the food--it is OK. The pizza is quite good, dare I say one of the better places in Raleigh. Pasta is alright, nothing memorable. My penne was a little overcooked and there were several broken pieces of pasta (little shreds all in my pasta bowl). Bread is cold but good. Oil served with the bread is good but awful looking.
Service could definitely be improved.

This hotel would get four stars:
1) Nice valet guy (Kevin)
2) Nice rooms - and nice views. Very fun to have a room that is not set up like a traditional hotel room. This one felt like a small studio apartment. The bed was situated facing two walls of windows. I could look down and see Macy's.
3) They gave us a high floor, as requested and a king bed, as requested.
4) The room was fairly clean - I'm extremely picky and didn't call them for anything regarding cleaning.
5) They have decent pillows - and plenty of them.
6) Nice location.
But it gets 3 for these reasons:
1) Hotel front desk staff is not overly friendly. When I walked up to them on a few occasions to ask for items, they would just look at me and expect me to start talking. Maybe I'm just from the South, but I'm accustomed to having them say, "May I help you?"
2) The valet parking fee is $42. Though one valet said it was $30/night and another said $35, but it is $35 + $7 tax = $42.
3) Water pressure blows.
4) Most important: I left a shoe there. One shoe. Called the hotel once I realized it and they cannot find it. They said no one has been in that room since I was there, yet no shoe. Guess that means housekeeping is either wearing one shoe, or they threw it away. Not acceptable. Why would someone just toss one shoe - that is almost brand new?

I have had take out from Fuji for over five years now. They are by far the best in Knightdale. However they are not terribly consistent. If the young teenage boy takes your order it is imperative you make him repeat every word because he seems to think he can get the order the way you want it without taking your direction. They also do not really understand extra spicy. Best times to get take out is when they are not that busy so they have to make it fresh. All said they are pretty good.

Have been there several times and they are always consistent. Strangely enough, their french fries (upcharge on a sandwich) are some of the best crinkle fries in Raleigh (ask them to cook them crispy!)
Their pizza is wood fired and really good when it first comes out of the oven. If you don't eat it fast enough, it can get a little soggy. But, eat fast and it is a treat.
Pasta is always cooked perfect. I prefer a little less sauce than what they put on the plate.
Have never been there when it is busy despite going at peak times. Seems like many people order pizza to go.
