Such a local's spot! Though small, the place was packed and the only tables available were outdoors. Thank goodness they had outdoor heaters!
Drinks....all beer and only beer here folks. But what a variety! Truth be told, I can't recall the first beer I had. The bartender said it was supposed to be like a Newcastle (my personal fav). It didn't really have that flavor profile but I enjoyed it nonetheless. My second beer was a holiday special--Gift of the Magi. With a name like that, I HAD to get it! It was both spicy and fruity...quite good.
But the surprise of the night---was the food!
I ordered the 3 Grilled Cheese Sammy (havarti, swiss and provolone) for $4.95. Easily the best grilled cheese I had in a long time! The bread was crunchy (thanks to tons of butter) and the combo of cheese was delish---just oozing out. And my personal fav of the night ----Beer Battered Fries with Garlic ($5.50). TOTALLY awesome if you are a French Fries Monster and Garlic fiend like myself. So good and although it cost more than my sandwich---completely worth it.
If you're looking for an adult beverage, GREAT---if you're a beer lover. Food---surprisingly yum. Over all, not a bad little find.
