5 stars just for the unbelievable mushroom dumplings! The Clay Pot Roasted Black Soy Chicken was ok, but nothing to write home about. Atmosphere was excellent (albeit a bit loud), service was impersonal (waiter just took our order and brought our check, no extra attention or niceties), and the focaccia bread was really great.

Tasty food, but the bugs were a bit distracting :-)
Incredibly authentic food, friendly service, and reasonable prices - this place is a winner. My wifey had the french toast, and I had the Loco Moco w/hamburger, rice, gravy, and 2 eggs over easy. The food was tasty but not exceptional.
Prices really weren't that bad - some great deals here and there. Staff was friendly, and it's very conveniently located, right off of the main street.

Nice atmosphere, I could totally imagine locals taking their mainland friends here :-) Had Maui Onion Soup ($6), KUSHIYAKI ("grilled brochettes of teriyaki chicken, steak, peppers, onions and zucchini", $19), and Hula Pie ($7). Soup was not bad (but not exceptional), the shish kebabs were tender and yummy (and came with one well-stocked salad bar trip), and the ice cream pie was huge - heavy on the ice cream, and light on the Oreo cookie crust and chocolate top. All in all a very pleasant meal, with some fun twists, but nothing exceptional.

Tasty burgers, but didn't come out as we had ordered them. Fun energetic college crowd, great atmosphere.
Food was excellent, very flavorful. Sake cocktails were strange for the first sip, but the flavors do work! Waitress was the manager, she was great. Music mix was fun, but a bit loud.
Very tasty food, but an indecipherable menu! Went on the 2nd day they were open, and it showed - the timing of the dishes was frustratingly random! We got our pizza after our friends finished their lasagna. However, they realized their mistake and generously comp'ed us 2 desserts. They also had some problem with getting their liqueur license, so no wine - that should be sorted out soon.
Fairly reasonable prices for the area.
Ambiance was great! The back area had a beautiful glass roof, juxtaposing grungy buildings with clean picture-frames ... stunning!

Excellent four-cheese gnocchi!! Very light and fluffy, with a delicate asparagus flavor. Flour-less chocolate cake dessert was to die for, but the decaf latte was a bit watery. Friendly staff.
