Enchiladas are pretty solid here. Tamales are also quite large.
I am, however, still looking for a decent Chile Relleno, and this place does not satisfy. They were soggy, and not really anything much resembling a Chile Relleno that I was expecting - golden-fried-hot-cheesy-awesome. Damnnnnit.

Breakfast served all day, and they do it pretty good here, especially their hashbrowns. They give you a nice brick of grated potatoes that's been crisped up on all sides so it actually looks like a brick.
Most if not all the items here can be made vegetarian/vegan so hit it up if you're looking for some classic diner food!
Endless cups of coffee too.
I'm going to try the Alberto's next to see if it's what I'm looking for. Tacos here are like burritos. Burritos are like twice your average burrito sizes. Everything served hot and made to order - it's all solid, but not SD quality! The search continues.

For dinner we had:
+ Fried Sea Eel
+ Big Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura
+ Fried Oysters
+ Chawanmushi (Steamed Egg Custard)
+ Nabeyaki Udon
+ Prime Rib Entree
+ Tonkatsu Entree
+ Chicken Teriyaki Entree
+ Saba Shio Entree
My family eats a lot. We basically had the whole spread of entrees and a good amount of the appetizers. Fried oysters and fried sea eel were the highlights.
I'd say skip the chicken teriyaki, prime rib, and the saba shio. You can all make this at home the way they made it here. The tonkatsu was done right with a crisp skin, but still nothing amazing. Udon is solid - very good noodles and broth.
A-OK but don't be expecting to get your socks knocked off. The seating and feel of the place is pretty neat and open though given the randomness of the area it's in with mostly corporate buildings.

Hummus is really something because of its texture - not creamy, but coarse. You get a little bite in there. Roasted eggplant had a deep flavor and a little bit of heat. I would go back just for this - SO GOOD.
They happened to have free dessert last night as well for "Greek Christmas", but I thought it was too sweet. Not too shabby though so maybe I'll try the baklava next time.
Hats off to our host who was really attentive and nice! It was my first time here, and I'll be back to try some pita bundles and eat more hummus.
Capital Seafood's are known for their "nice restaurant" Chinese looks so lemme say that before someone doesn't go in here because it's not run-down...
Pretty A-OK Chinese food, if you know how real Chinese food tastes. It's nothing special, but it isn't bad either. I'd say it would be a safe bet to take some friends that don't usually eat Chinese food. Everything tastes fine so I would probably say my family and I come here every so often that we're lazy.
Grab the pepper shrimp dish. It's a killer.
"You sure? It's not alive."
So apparently they don't have fresh live fish here for your steamed fish. It's already dead. And will be dead on your table. I sure hope so.
Order of events:
1) *Order steamed fish*
2) "Are you sure? It's not live."
3) *Order steamed fish*
4) "Okay but it's dead."
5) *Fish arrives*
6) "Everything okay with the fish?"
7) Beginning to think this fish is poisoned or something
8) "So how was the fish?"
9) Really thinking something was wrong with the fish
Nothing was wrong with the fish - it just wasn't very meaty. CURIOUS CASE OF DEAD FISH. Otherwise, everything else still good.

SZECHUAN = SPICY = LOVE IN MY MOUTH YEABOY
PART 1: Some dishes Yelpers raved about: Fish Soup, Cumin Lamb, 1000 Chili Chicken + pile of potatoes + egg lolcakes with pickles.
PART 2 Fucking -random: SPICY BEAR-DUCK (wtf), dried eels, eggplant braised with yellow beans, beef with XO sauce
OVERALL SOLID.
The fish soup is really something. It should be definitely be shared with at least 4 people. Nothing else really impressed me than the fish soup, but I'd say this is really solid Chinese food in general and hits the spot. It's definitely Szechuan spicy (throw in obligatory dried chili peppers and jalapenos everywhere).
So the Bear-Duck was really just BEER-Duck, but I was hoping for some ridiculous cross between eating a furry bear and a feathered duck. I probably wouldn't get that dish again because it was just braised duck in spicy broth, but it was worth a fun-try.
The 1000 Chili chicken and dried eel are cooked very similarly in that they dump alot of dried chilis and jalapenos your way, but very little chicken or eel. Any pieces that you are able to eat are very very delicious though.
Service is actually very very good. They kept our rice, tea, and water all filled before we even asked for it.
New go-to spot for Chinese food. AND IT'S MY SPICY LOVER.

While the super falafel is still my favorite, I've gotten more accustomed to the large veggie plate with babaghanouj, hummus, dolmas, salads, etcetc. if you wanna just have a large spread of food.
Falafels as good as evarrrrr. EAT IT UP!

If I'm not as hungry to get a Super Falafel, I've recently resorted to buying a dozen falafel for $3. They give you tahini on the side if you ask for it, and this is the perfect snack for on the go. Mmmmhm.

I've only had their super falafel, avocado falafel, lamb and chicken shawarmas so I can only rate based on these.
Super falafel is the equivalent in size of two burritos in length because its wrapped with babaganoush, onions, hummus, and more good stuff in lavash bread (just think of a square tortilla rokay?). The falafel probably is the best in town. It is just the right consistency and tastes awesome. It comes out to $6.51 and can last you two meals if you're not super hungry. I highly recommend it.
The avocado falafel and shawarmas come wrapped in the smaller pita breads you would be more familiar with. They definitely pack a bunch of flavor, but are a bit on the small side in terms of one pita if you're feeling particularly hungry, but it is usually just the right amount because of the stuff they put inside. I prefer the lamb shawarma for the flavor it gives, but if you are feeling health conscious then the falafel or chicken do a fine job.
Compared to Meesha's Gyros in the Asian Ghetto, it doesn't really compare in terms of the falafel and meat they use. Meesha's might be more friendly towards those who like a mish-mash of general Middle Eastern flavor profiles. It's kinda bland and tastes like Middle Eastern fast food.
If you like Meesha's for Middle Eastern food, you would probably think Panda Express is awesome Chinese food (not bashing, orange chicken is pretty bomb for heart attacks).
Sunrise has really great flavorful meat and tastes really authentic. I haven't tried any of the plates though because they run about $10 or more, and I can't break the bank as a college student on lunch.
Bottom line: hungry? super falafel. super flavor? lamb shawarma.

Cali Party Bus
Category: Event Planning & Services
Neighborhood: Mission
I needed transportation for a party of 45+ to a club in SF. In the past, we've gotten a standard charter bus, but I was looking for something better. AND I FOUND IT.
After doing a comprehensive comparison of other charter bus companies, party bus companies, and event-planning services, I decided to take a stab at Cali Party Bus (thanks previous Yelpers!).
What's important was that I was in a hurry and booked the bus the day before I needed it with no problems. The process was painless and easy!
Here's what you should expect from Cali Party Bus:
+ Great service experience with the staff - Thanks Anna & Brett!
+ Great bus and amenities - it was really really impressive.
+ Great drivers - Pete was friendly, understanding, and awesome!
+ COMPETITIVE PRICES - I did the research before deciding on booking with Cali Party Bus, and I ended up staying with them because they offered great rates and excellent service
P.S. The bus ride ended up being better than the party itself in my opinion. It was THAT sick.
Date
That said the food is just about average/edible. What are you expecting from a buffet, right? WELL, I EXPECTED FOOD TO BE HOT. $13-after-tax-for-dinner is no good when there's no hot fooooood.
The food is edible. You get variety. BUTBUTBUT the food is warm or cold, save for the (boxed) curry which is on a steam table. Blargh! You'll be only getting hot food when it comes out from the kitchen, which I actually saw quite a bit so I'll give some points there for hasty refillings.
I think lunch may be a better value here so maybe I'll give it another chance. The food just needs to be hot!
I was too afraid to try the seafood.
P.S. You can get oversized plates. Check out Eric L's triangle plate: http://www.yelp.com/bi...
