The Short Ribs Taco truck is a new truck from the Calbi crew. It's tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. Pork, chicken, and beef. A simple menu full of simply delicious food.
I ordered a chicken taco (I am off of beef and pork for another month. Sadface.) My friend order two beef tacos. They were served up FAST. We were both a little worried when we first caught a glimpse of our tacos, because the meat looked dry, but the vegetables were moist and the sauce was delicious - a little sweet and tangy. If you like spicy, you are going to have to DIY that taco with some sriracha.
Good tacos. I'll be back for a burrito. And a quesadilla. With beef. And pork.

I feel like I am supposed to be in love with this place, but I'm just not. The clam chowder is good and has a little bit of a kick. I had the fish and chips for lunch - wait, no I didn't. I had the seafood combo and chips for lunch. It was fish, shrimp and calamari. It was good and quite a lot of food (as it should be for $14) but it wasn't nearly the best fish and chips I've had. It was quite greasy. The fries are seasoned.
My husband ordered the stuffed pasillas (sp?) chiles. They were stuffed with lobster and shrimp with some sort of creamy sauce, served on a bed of rice with a couple corn tortillas on the side. He really liked it.
I think we'd only been there one other time for lunch and I don't remember anything about the food, only that I was freezing in the restaurant.
We'll probably come back again for dinner and I'll order some fresh fish off the specialties menu, and we'll probably give the tapas a shot. Hopefully that will boost the rating for me.
"Extra cheese, please."
