The shop area has some cute jewelry, but the real reason I came was to get my eyebrows threaded. I really wanted to like this place because it's local and so close, but I just couldn't. My brows came out slightly too thin which for me is not good because I have thin brows to start out with.

The threading lady doesn't consult you before jumping in. She spoke with me afterwards saying if I wanted a higher arch, she could take out a bit underneath. Ironically, she said this wouldn't work because then my brows would be too thin.

For someone with naturally thin brows, it would be smart to go somewhere where they have experience not to take any away from the under starting points of brows.

Kudos for the frequent punch card if you happen to like your brows this way.

I came here upon hearing of their "first client" brazilian waxing deal (around $21). They enter in your driver's license to ensure that you're really a first time client. The location's front waiting area is really sparkly clean/sterile like a fancy hospital.

The front desk receptionist was nice, although slightly pushy about selling the packages on your way out.

The tiny blond aesthetician was pleasant and conversed with you during the experience, but I would not agree that the waxing was perfect. There was definitely bits of hair remaining that you would only notice back in your car after you left the building because it was completely awkward to check yourself out after the waxing while the aesthetician is standing right there in the room with you.

I will give props for the wax that they use. It is a melted wax that she never double-tipped. Plus she used  strips of paper cloth to stick to the wax before the all-horror pull.

Although she gave me a little sample of exfoliating soap, I won't be returning if I need to do-it-yourself when I get home.

I love a good lunch deal, especially at a fancy restaurant that I am intimidated by at night. I got the fried chicken with a side soy dip. This is the best option off the lunch menu. You're started off with a fresh mixed green salad with a delicious sesame dressing, help yourself to some boiled eggs, and pleasantly perfumed little pickle nuggets. All that before the main course arrives. On top of the white rice, I sprinkle the dry chili sesame mix that lives on the table and bask in the endless warm green tea glow.

Happy hour is the bomb-diggity. I can't say enough about the $1 East Coast oysters and heavenly cocktails. If you like a nice tang with your oyster, get the hot & dirty martini. Tastes like a jar of olive juice!

This is an excellent first date classy joint. It feels like a casual Martha's Vineyard Island restaurant with a hip and clean vibe. Even the service was tops as our hostess described the music overhead was by Pandora.

Very picturesque, which is a complete contrast to the neighborhood around the park. This garden makes for beautiful backdrop for engagement photos, fun "spontaneous" photos, or just lounging and pretending that you're no longer in the big city.

Decent tummy-filling noodles and broth. I got the lamb soup, which had good broth and ramen-like skinny noodles (knife-cut noodles).  There is cilantro and a huge array of condiments on the table to flavor your dish to your liking.

It seems like a locals' place with lots of lunch time visitors. However, I would recommend getting one of the noodle stir-fried dishes.  They looks so much more appetizing than my bowl of slowly sogging ramen. Next time -- the duck wok fried hand pulled noodles.

Redonkulously good soup. The lamb broth is really rich and unctuous. But the real stars are the handmade wide looooooong noodles. This place makes me want to call it home. Plus, you can dress it the way you like. A little bit of chinese vinegar, some chili oil and it's a slam dunk.

Who knew that authentic vintage little shops like this exits in the Boston area? Yes, it does have kitschy knick-knacks that you can find from Urban Outfitter or Anthropologie, but those are just the fillers. What really makes this place special are the sexy 50's cinched-in waist dresses in the back. They are just gorgeous and most are around $50-$80. Showing up to a party in a legitimate one-of-a-kind dress is worth the price. The only down side is most of the selection tends to be for the skinny folk out there - size 6 and under. Still, I scored a fur coat on my first visit!
