One of those places you need to stop by and check out when here in Portland but meh.. sorry guys...

The names are hysterical
The voodoo doughnut with pretzel needle was therapeutic for one of my kiddies...
The bacon maple bar was a disappointment *cringes for doughnut being thrown at head*

For folks from the San Jose, CA area it is like Psychodonuts but less PC (yes such a place exists).

Maybe I got the wrong thing or maybe getting them in the earlier part of the morning is better than the night... *shrugs*

Cash only!

For all you Santa Cruzians this place is like Logos downtown  on Pacific Avenue but a million trillion gazillion times better... yes.. such a color coded well organized place exists. This is literally a city....all of my hs students ended up getting some type of book... one almost started hyper ventilating and was way overwhelmed...he ended up with 7 or 8 books. The specific books I wanted were not in stock (granted these were super left political books that even the Left Bank in Seattle did not have on hand) but the service was stellar and gaping in total awe of the massive amount of books and bookstore products was ridiculous.

A definite place to stop if you are in this city

In seeing triple D I was salivating.. when given the opportunity to go for a week Northwest college trip with the hs kiddies I said YES and we are GOING HERE!

The fried green tomatoes with the dill dipping sauce was to die for, pipping hot and delicious. The homemade sausage patty was amazing as was the biscuit.

After over 80 hours of being with my hs students... stepping in here was me finding my happy place. A natural disaster could be coming towards me all that mattered was what I was eating.

Cute decor... including a guy stencil and autograph.

I love their Kettle Corn (2.99 for about 6 servings), dried mangos and the peanuts with chile and limon.  Reasonable price for some yummy treats!

They sell tons of dried fruit, nuts and snacks that are perfect for a trip or hike... in my case 6 days with my hs students... yep I stocked up.

HS students will be happy... and full....

I purchase mine at the Whole Enchilada Market off the 1 south

support your local economy!

Buying local is a preferable way to go... in stopping in Moss Landing for some local fruits and veggies at the market along highway one (whole enchilada market place) we purchased some Githens' Honey with almonds... it was delicious. They also come in a variety of flavors however can't go wrong with nuts and honey. The Bf's allergies have been acting up and it was recommended to buy local honey (pollen ... local flowers.. honey.... supposedly makes a difference).

Fishermen wives' tale or not to help with allergies we are buying local honey more often.

I was able to get some stuff before heading up up up North with my hs students (this guidance counselor likes to travel "en estilo")...yeahy henley shirts and sweaters.. yeahy.

When I was growing up,  this place was a staple. After school or on the weekends It was guaranteed that my friends and I would be there. During my stint as a barista I would help out at this location if needed.... best memory.. friend spilling mocha mix all over during rush time... LOL  After going to Harry's, the Bf and I needed some caffeine before heading over the hill. Things were made to order but this place needs a good wiping down.

In living in Saratoga for eighteen years before heading to Santa Cruz (where I happily reside now) I don't recall EVER going here. I had high school students who worked (or their families worked) here however it eluded me until last night.

Some of the best turkey I had ever had. For eight bucks the turkey with mashed potatoes, 1000 calories of gravy and stuffing was fantastic. Everyone else seemed to agree because the line was super duper long.

This place was a tad overwhelming... but everyone behind the counter was going fifty million miles a minute. Before I knew it I had a roll, a turkey leg the size of my own leg smothered in enough gravy that I would have to do a 1,000 sit ups to work off.....

Overall for eight bucks I was a happy camper.. although I have never had to pay 2.24 for a soda or iced tea except for a 4 star restaurant.

The portions are huge
Seating areas are a plenty

Not going out of my way to come here.. but not adverse to it either.

I wish they did a better job of stopping homeless folks harass their customers... I had some high school students being patted on the back by a homeless guy (granted harmless but still) last night and they did absolutely nothing as I stood in between him and the students and asked him to leave. Thanks.. for nothing...

The place needed a good table wiping so we took our orders to go... sandwiches were decent... it is hard to mess up a quizno's sandwich.

Boo for allowing  your employee dress like a geisha (HELLO NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT)

Boo for your 20 something guy in BBQ land leave when seeing us approaching after totally not helping the last person who asked him a question

Boo for having your Christmas display up but playing Halloween spooky sounds

The ONLY reason why we came in again was as a favor to the BFs mom... which she is buying her product on line..... but wanted us to check on the price and what it looked like....

I think Target or some other company would be a welcomed change other than this store... I mean.......it is obvious your employees give two shits about their job and the store (it is a mess and every review on here complains about the horrible service)

Today made me a non believer-- I had the worst service ever.. to the point I complained to the manager.. and I rarely do that

The BF and I were looking for a vacuum and had some ideas of what we were going to buy. We went in and the young lady looked at us for a minute and then went to help another customer... grrrrrrrrrrr..... it appeared she thought he was a more likely candidate for commission... he ended up criticizing her on her selling points and was way more schooled than she was.... the bf and I were annoyed... there was another woman who totally ignored us when I was at the register to pay for at least a vaccuum bag....

    No acknowledgment
    No greeting
No "we will be with you in a minute"

    Sooooooooooo

    Someone else gets your commission....
