These guys have been awesome for me. My taxes got a lot more confusing a few years ago and so I stepped up to hiring a professional to help. They're helpful and easy to work with. And they even helped retro-actively fix a costly error I had made before coming to them
Tolerable gyros, but enough so that I'm definitely not hungry after lunch. This will probably go into the weekly rotation and replace one of my two burrito lunches.

This truck is awesome. For $2-3 I can get some great tacos in flavors I just can't get anywhere else.
You're experience changes a lot based on when you show up. Make sure to get there before they run out of duck. Also known as the bacon of fowls.

Three words: deep fried pasta.
We came off Honey swamp tours and asked for a recommendation for where to go for a late lunch. The place was a little hard to find (google has the location wrong), but the food was good, and in large quantities.
Everything was fried.

It's been 1700 miles since San Francisco and me and my fiancé were really craving some Mexican food and were interested in what Texas's version of it was.
We walked on attempting to keep our minds open for new experiences, though our open mindedness was tested when the chili relleno came out looking like a deep fried enchillada. But damn was it tasty and probably would have been even better with some chili con carne on top.
The wait staff exhibited the high level of friendliness and courtesy I'm starting to get used to here in Texas and the cherry on top was the offer of drinks to go as we paid our bill.

Original Palace Barber Shop
Category: Barbers
Neighborhood: SOMA
I've never gotten a shave from a barber before, but this place makes me regret that. It had a lot of the old-school barber feel (a bunch of guys hanging out, talking s*** with each other) which I think goes a long way in this era of male over-pampering.
And I was very happy with the lack of requirement for small talk that a lot of people who cut my hair seem to insist upon. Though the folks there where more than happy to chat if you're less introverted that this programmer.

I can't believe it took LaughingSquid talking of their demise to help me discover this place. This place makes a mean MaiTai and Pina Colada. The food was pretty good too.
I have yet to find chicken wings like this anywhere else in California. This place is a staple in my weekly diet, and I look forward to it all week.

Mythic Pizza
Category: Pizza
Neighborhood: Lower Haight
Their pizza is ok. At least by my california-reduced expectations. But their house special, the "San Franciscan", managed to mix feta cheese and mediocre pizza into an amazing taste experience.
That is a boat load of good beer on tap.
The let us bring in pizza from Mythic next door, which made for an awesome combo.
