I was referred to Julio and the guys at Mulholland Motorsports by a few of my high school alumni friends back when they were still Dent Werks off of La Brea. Since then, I've been loyal client.
The guys there are great, especially Julio, the owner. He always gives me a great deal and they have one of the quickest turn around times for fixing a vehicle in town. The last time I was there, I was getting my bumper replaced because I was rear ended. I hung out at the shop for about 6 hours and before I knew it, the new bumper was on with a fresh coat of paint. They also had time to give it a car wash! I was really impressed with their great customer service and quality of work!
This place definitely gets my recommendation.

i love the store. their displays are great. they have knowledgeable salesmen who answered all my questions. i didnt really have to wait. I got everything i need to start playing airsoft from tact gear to my new G&G gun. I definitely have a better grasp of the different styles of game play and the abundant amount of products that they offer. You can tell that the salesmen definitely love and still play airsoft and that helped out a lot. I definitely recommend this airsoft retail store and i will be coming back again.

I'll keep this short and sweet. The fish served here were raised from water that was shed from God's tears!
This is by far the best authentic sushi restaurant that I've been too. Please advise, this is not your regular Americanized sushi restaurant where they sell fancy rolls. Its all only fresh sushi and sashimi.
You walk in to be happily greeted by a hostess who explains that this restaurant only has an alcohol menu. (AWESOME!) You sit at the sushi bar, where the chef asks you if you would like sushi, sashimi, or both. From that point on, he takes you on an incredible sushi journey that can only be rivaled by a very epic Star Wars Trilogy. You will leave happily full and craving for more at the end.
If you don't want to take my word for it. Try it and BE CONVERTED!

The Varnish

I've seen my share of great venue's as well as drinking holes and Varnish is by far on of my favorites.
Please advise, this is definitely not one of your regular run of the mill bars/lounges where you spend an arm and a leg on a Jack and Coke or a Vodka Cran in the hopes that the bartender makes it a little stiff so that you get your money's worth. This bar serves genuine drinks and they are well worth the money.
I visited this place for the first time last week and I must say, I was impressed. There was no wait to get in and the hostess was very friendly. The bartenders make great concoctions from your choice of liquor if you order the 'Bartender's Chice". You can tell that they take pride in making the proper drink.
I will definitely recommend this place to my clients and friends.

If I can give this place zero stars, I would.
I walked into this place yesterday evening while looking for a good place to have dinner down Sunset. We sat in around 9 and had our order placed at 945 (Its hard to imagine how busy this place was with only 4 other tables to wait for). With this being said, the waitress very nice and was really the only bright glimmer of hope to an otherwise crypt of a eatery.
We then waited another hour just to get our food! The sushi did not taste fresh and the rice was hard and stale.
During our 30 minute wait for the bill, we were entertained by some sloppy drunk hobo dancing by the bar (which ended up to be the owner).
For a place where we were hoping to get a quick bite to eat, we ended up leaving at 11:30.
The food that tasted like it was caught a week ago and a sloppy cracked out drunk of an owner put this place on to my never come back here black list!

If it wasn't for being the only post office in my area I would NEVER come here again! The staff is just horrible. I've come here on numerous occasions for shipping packages or renewing passports and never has the service been at least bearable.

I originally visited this place in my pursuit of my perfect golf swing. A friend of mine ranted about how awesome their automatic golf ball dispenser was so I had to check it out.
I have to be honest and say that my experience didn't live up to its recommendations. There were a few things that peeved me.
One was that the elevator to get up to the range took a ridiculously long time. Mind you, there is only 1 elevator from the parking lot that takes you up to the range floors.
Another, and this was a big one, was that NONE of the automated golf dispensers were made for LEFT HANDED GOLFERS! Well, maybe I'm being a little too harsh. They did have 1 per floor but they were all being used. I had to Macgyver a left handed tee with 2 open right handed ones.
Here's the kicker, the dispenser ran out of golf balls! I tried to ask for assistance but no one came so I had to Macgyver another set of right handed dispensers.
The golf ball dispenser is cool but the range itself wasn't that great.
... Oh, and the juice bar wasn't that good either.

Pho 2000

On a cold day in LA or after a late night, Pho 2000 is one of my favorite places to do. The menu is short and sweet. It's either pho or rolls. I have no real complaint about the price, it's relatively inexpensive. They staff is exceptionally nice as well.
My pallet usually deviates to the oxtail with a side of tendon because I have a taste for the gamier flavors but the rest of the menu is righteous as well. If it's your first time, then go with the rare steak.
The restaurant is open 24 hours so the pho is readily available for you 24/7!

Yojie Japanese Fondue & Sake Bar

I am a huge fan of shabu shabu. Granted, I have to cook my own food, but that's beside the point. It's the experience. That I go for. They restaurant has a quaint but modern feel and the staff is really helpful.
I am not a huge fan of sukiyaki but they serve that here as well as shabu shabu. What I found to be a distinct difference between Yojie and other shabu restaurants is the dessert menu. Make sure you save room after your meal for some red velvet fondue.
This is definitely a place I would recommend for a great lunch or dinner shabu fix!
