Forget everything you think you know about Frozen Yogurt.
While visiting Portland we stumbled upon this awesome new frozen yogurt store on their first day and it was amazing.
This is NOT regular Frozen Yogurt.  This is really good, house-made, quality yogurt that is frozen- very little, if any sugar added.  It is served with fresh fruit and/or granola etc. and is perfect for breakfast, lunch, snack or dessert.
This concept has spread like wildfire in L.A. under the banner, "Pink Berry" but this is a bit of an improvement (not that there is anything wrong w/Pink Berry mind you).
Notably, they used biodegradable spoons and bowls which is not only good for the environment, but actually is nicer to hold and feels better in the mouth.
Get the blueberry while it's in season- combine with the cinnamon yogurt.

Holy shiznit, this place is fantabulous and cheap too.
Just wish that they had the high quality meat . . . and a decor.
For the price this place is as good as it gets.

When this pizza is at it's best, this is the best Neapolitan style pizza I have had in the U.S. and I've tried most of the greats including una pizza napoletana in NY, Mozza in L.A. and Chicago's Spacca Napoli.  [I have not yet had Bianco's in Phoenix, so that could knock this off the list.]

Only 1 out of my 3 visits has been spectacular, but I have gone at odd hours and I am not sure that I caught the oven at it's best (hottest).

This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time.  The fact that it's vegan is just icing on the cake.  Everything is incredible here.  I especially like the soba noodle roll, but the menu is vast and I have so much left to try.
The only drawback is that it's a bit slow and there is a long wait.  If they took reservations or had a warm place to wait then it would be 5 stars for sure.

Great food, great ambiance.
Everything was surprisingly good, no duds.
Sea bass, calamari w/salt&pepper, papaya salad, tofu w/green beans
All perfect and not too sweet as is often the case w/popular asian restaurants.

The tough thing about authentic neapolitan pizza is that there is a big drop off in quality if it is even slightly imperfect.  Nancy/Mario are pointed at the right target, they just haven't hit it yet.
The night I went, the dough was much too springy- either too much yeast or too little salt or not enough patience in kitchen (dough will give up if rested a few minutes after first stretched)
I can forgive this, b/c such things take time to dial in.
What I can't forgive is, of all things given the name of the place, the choice of mozzarella!  Dry cow mozz??  Where's the fresh buffalo mozzarella??  This is bizarre to me.  This is the easiest part of the equation- it's just a purchasing decision.
Also, the oven clearly wasn't hot enough.  The oven should be going at 1000 and it was probably just shy of 700.

Anyway, I wish I had taken a picture, the pizza was about 60% cornice when it should be about 20%

If it is the same when I go back on my next trip to l.a. then I am going to have to take it down to 3 stars

Surprisingly, I had the best pizza (flatbread really) I've ever had in l.a. at Harrison Ford's son's restaurant, Ford's Filling Station.  They make their own Mozzarella (ehem)

Often very good pizza, but inconsistent (depending on pizza maker)
This is a common problem for neapolitan pizza- the devil is in the details and there are a ton of variables.
It requires a lot of experience to get it right consistently.

It's decent pizza, but (as is so common for some bizarre reason at decent pizza places in SF) this place has some annoying attitude.
