We hit this place up on Saturday night, I figured with 6 peeps coming here after 7PM wouldn't be an issue. Well, it was.... a 30 minute wait was quoted to us, and the hostess was spot on, we got sat within the 30, not bad.
Waiter was friendly, quick to please and knew his stuff! Refills on water and drinks, along with solid timing of coming back to check on us ranks high in my opinion!
Salad was HUGE, fed the entire table with leftovers to spare, blue cheese dressing had chunks of blue cheese in it, which is hard to find these days. Taste-wise, the dinner salad was just okay, lots of "pizza" toppings used to make a salad, it was just okay, again the portion was huge!
Pizza toppings were solid, sauce was decent, crust was crunchy even with all those toppings on it! We opted for two pies, one with red sauce, the Night train, and the other had no sauce, similar to what I've had at Pagliacci, garlic, spinach and feta? Something like that, anyway, here they tossed on huge chunks of roaster garlic, bleu cheese, sauteed spinach, and marinated mushrooms it was a great combo.
The "red" sauce pizza was very good, I think the toppings really made this pizza, Pepperoni, hot Italian sausage, peppered bacon, caramelized onions, garlic, oregano and hot cherry peppers, the peppers nor the sausage were overly hot, granted my wife thinks my mouth is like an oven, so spice-wimps beware.
The boyz in our party had the 1/2 pound hamburger, it looked huge and the portions were solid, the beer battered fries were tasty and the onion rings rank up there with some of the best.
It'sa small-ish chain worth checking out, we had a great time and we'll be back.

Thankfully, they had the "sauce" served on the side, that was the best part of the meal.... that it was served on the side! :-(
The meat lacked any real smoke flavor, heck the brisket had a boiled texture to it! And the pork ribs might have passed for being cooked in a oven. Sadly there wasn't a hint of "smoke" flavor to either of the meats.
Red beans and rice were, meh, at best a tad bit too sweet for me. And the the "sauce"..... YUCK! Too much ketchup/tomato flavor and again lacked any heat, smoke, or flavor, well other than tomato paste.
I'm willing to go back to check out the fried pickles and okra, but I'll pass on the Que. Show owner comment »

Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar

Maybe it was the company, maybe it was the drinks, maybe it was the food?
Eitherway, my cuz and I wandered in after a very long day at D-land, got quickly sat at the bar and we were delighted with the views and bar selection.
I had a very tasty thin crust pizza, I can't remember the name right now, but the crust was delish and man can those bartenders poor a SOLID drink, whew!
Needless to say after stuffing our faces we had to wander around the Downtown D-land area to sober up and digest our food.
Great service, even when packed! Only minus the kitchen was a tad slow with our meal.

Aloha Ramen
Category: Japanese
Neighborhood: Greenwood
I figured something might be amiss on the their "short" day, they are only open from 5-9PM, Sundays.
But for the most part I'll agree this place serves up plentiful portions and my Tien Tien Mein, (spicy ramen) was delightful, it could have used a lot more spice but, that's okay, even for the spice-challenged it was very mild. I too was shocked not to find Togarashi on the tables, for shame!
Garlic fried rice was outstanding, along with the Katsu-don special, a bit too much teriyaki sauce was drizzled on top for my tastes but the one who ordered it was happy. Kahula ping ramen was well done, flavorful and nicely presented.
I had the ramen/gyoza combo, for $8.00 I was happy, I liked the fact you got to pick your choice of ramen. I wasn't too happy with the kitchen, they must have been using their back-up chef, orders came out in no particular order, a table seated well after us got most of their meal prior to our order being finished. My gyoza were cold in the middle and my soup broth was a tad lukewarm for my tastes.
Still, I give this place 3.5 Yelp stars, for flavor, we'll be back.
There is a ton of parking at the fields, plus over-flow across the street.
I was impressed by the quality turf and grass warm up areas, there were a few low points were water had collected on the grassy area but it was all good.
Only real draw back is the number of restrooms, the soccer tournament we were in brought in additional Honey buckets, but they needed to be serviced, in a bad way...peeee euuueww!!
A very nice setting for the HPFC Seatac cup, we'll be back!

Fuji Hibachi Sushi & Steak House
Category: Japanese
So, I'm really not into the bland teppanyaki experience, Benihana back in the day put on a decent show, but really, do I need a Japan-esk Disney experience during my meal? Nah.
Get this, Fuji has a bit of both worlds. Teppanyaki for the adventurous and "normal" dinning for the rest of the crowd.
We've been here about 4-5 times now, I have to say it's a decent "normal" meal. Teppanyaki review will have to be saved for another time. I will say, those who have tried the teppahyaki seem to be really trilled to have their eye brows burnt off. Those flames are scary, make a mental note if you are considering taking the kiddos....
Taste-wise, things are decent, I have enjoyed the pork katsu and while the "hibachi" steak, that was a bit on the disappointing side during lunch, but our katsu has been really fab!
High fives for the decent "zushi" (my term for sushi made by peeps who are not of Japanese decent.) One of the better spicy tuna rolls I've had in a while.
Decent service, and a very nice manager makes for a decent combo in Shoreline.
The only real gripe I have about this place is the flavor of the meat is, well, just okay, which on my scale of "meh" to "OMFG" is right in the middle. So really this place gets 3.5 Yelp stars...
While the bbq isn't home-grown, remember it'sa chain, it is worthy of a few repeat visits, now that I've found this location a lot closer to home than Puyallup.
Cute corporate "Texas BBQ" theme runs through out this place, heck even the servers had "red" necks....I kid...
Day 1 of extreme heatwave, I was melting, and realized I did not have my Mega-millions ticket for the drawing on Day 2 of extreme heatwave.
I figured, if I didn't have a ticket now, no way in Hell was I going to head out on Day-2 of said extreme heatwave to have the chance at $60 million....
I opened the door and walked inside, in that brief moment in time where my shorts came un-stuck from my sweaty backside, I was in pure bliss....
My face must have made the "O" face at that momentous occasion as the clerk behind the counter just smiled and chuckled, I'm sure he'd seen that same face over and over during the day.
$2 bucks for my 2 tickets, chilly backside, priceless....

Listed on the Washington State Lottery's website as the second luckiest store in the entire State!! Funny, I haven't even won a free ticket from this joint...
Oh well, the Slurpee's are fine and served up cold, you can't really beat that!
I remembered fellow Yelper's liking this place, so I punched up the address in the GPS and headed over. Goodness this place is in a weird location, I agree with other reviews on this part, but you know what, the adventure of trying to find this place was well worth it!
Granted, you'll find no fancy-schmancy "Hong Kong" style dim sum, nor will you find amazing servers who remember your name, if you want that, then you've come to wrong place. What you will find here at Top Gun, is top notch quality Dim Sum at decent prices, oh, and FREE parking! You can't find that in the ID!!
We ordered up the standard fair, tripe, spare ribs, shrimp balls, meat ball this and that, and everything had solid flavors and for a 1:30PM after the usual standard Dim sum serving time, the place had plenty of choices that where nice and fresh.
The wait to be seated wasn't that bad for Saturday and yes, I had to park in the overflow lot, but it was all good.
We didn't have any overly friendly nor rude servers, in fact the cart-pushers spoke just enough Ching-rish to describe most of their wares.
I'm looking forward to our return visit. YUM-O!!!
