Fabulous event Laura! Woohoo!
Had a blast! Cocktails were yummy - as usual!
Snacks were yummy!
Photo booth was a hoot.
It was cool to see the inside of Jet - hadn't gotten there yet!
Fun fun!
Definitley boo on XO and Pizza Republica
I never found the valets...  We parked next door for much cheaper - so it all worked out!

Friendly servers, local beer, close to the gothic, food lacks flavor, order before sitting down

What a sad day when I finally got the hubby to go to a "BBQ" join and the food was sub-par. Ugh.
The ribs tasted as if they had been boiled and then had some sauce thrown on them...
Hubby had the shrimp sandwich which they put on a hamburger bun so all his little shrimps fell out- not sure if it was supposed to be in a hotdog type bun or not, but not easy to eat as was served.

The sides i chose were all on the special board - which BTW is to the right of the main ordering place, near the breezeway to the bowling alley.
The squash was tasty but dang did i really want some butter on it.
The cornbread something or other was obviously the bottom of the batch - i know for a fact since they erased said specialty after my order went through. It was dry and anh.
The cornbread that came with the ribs- now that was tasty! I shared with the hubby!

The location is cool and has a nice patio - the stools are super high, i had to hop to get up - hubby being 6 feet tall had no issue.
There are indeed pinball machines upstairs which is cool
The bowling looks fun.
They have Agave Wheat on tap - that is also cool.

I think i would come here to "hang out", see if i could finegal a side of mac and cheese and cornbread, but skip the BBQ part.

Friendly staff, reward program, wine tasting, willing to hear your ideas of what you like to drink!
I too had heard about a wine store going into the Piggly Wiggly for ages now. What a pleasant surprise to see an open sign!

We popped in shortly after they opened and perused the aisles with glee!
We found a couple good deals on wines we wanted to try!

We chatted with the owner and indicated we had a certain wine we liked, and they had heard of it and were going to bring some in. Wow!

They have started doing tastings - get on their mailing list and you will know when they are!

I love that we have cool stores within walking distance to home! I'll be there again soon!

 Update - 10/26/2009
I re-visited this place after harvest week and they earned an extra star!
We only did appetizers, but dang, i could live on that stuff!
The calamari was great, the fries were really good - and the mixture of sweet potato and regular make me and the hubby happy as can be!
The spring rolls were great!

Cool restaurant, amazing tuna tacos, great wait staff

FYI - this is based on Harvest Week Menu
I got a group together to try out this place during harvest week.
The tuna tacos had too many good reviews not to try as well - and oh my goodness!!! Get them!

Happy hour menu - pretty darn cool. 3,4,5 dollar options. House wine for $5 was pretty good.

We also started with the curry lamb egg rolls. They were ok, but i had
food envy when i saw the Vietnamese spring rolls go by... Next time!

For our meal we each split the "Duck 3 ways" and the Rib eye.
The duck was unfortunately just ok. The leg had the most flavor. The pate looking item was pretty tasteless, and the other version was nothing to write home about and pretty hard to cut through.
The pickled beets and onions etc were good.

The rib eye came out as requested. The Gorgonzola spinach salad was very good.

We also all split the peach desert. I'm not a big peach fan - so I'll defer saying anything. Although the fried basil leaves and the maple ice cream were good!!

Our waitress Sarah (?) was fabulous! She helped us pick our happy hour items, let us move tables, kept on top of our water situation, brought out extra wrappers for the duck, extra grilled garlic, etc etc etc. Kudos!

I'll definitely be back for the happy hour and the calamari and frites!
Till then I'll have to stick with the 3 stars.

Worst starbucks on the mall. Slow service but friendly.

I've wandered in here a couple times, but definitely prefer the one on California.
The coffee is always consistent, but it takes too much time, walk a couple blocks in either direction for a better experience.

Everyone in the DTC seems to gather here. It's the only real one around (besides the ones too close to the highschool - which always have the teenages milling around), and it's crowed most of the time. There are small windows of time when you can scoot right up to the counter, get your order and out the door right quick, but the usual way things go, is a line half way to the door, if not to the door.

The staff is extremely friendly and efficient and i always get the drink i want - although once in a while my drink does get lost in the shuffle!

The general population is pretty upity and people watching always gives me a chuckle!

It's within walking distance of the office, so i'll continue to come here!

Interesting decor, Blue Moon seems to be hard to obtain on tap, lots of fried choices.

I've been there a couple times, mostly for beverages and snacks.
The sechuan fries are like small pickup sticks- not so good for eating, or dipping.
The calamari was tasty- although i would probably go around the corner to Oceanaire if i had a choice.
Every time i've been there, there has been an issue with the Blue moon, one time the keg was weird and they were only getting foam, one time they were just out, and this last time it was beerfest weekend so they only had specific choices, none of which i liked, so i had water - that was sad.

It's convenient to the theater, but not a place that would be high on my list to visit.

Same great food, super friendly service, hard to head north on Colorado from the location.

I popped into this location on a tuesday evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

I got my usual - Hookipa Salad with Chicken! My favorite meal! I love the marinated cucumbers on top, the great dressing, the soy beans and the ginger!

It is a chain, it is the same food at each location, but it's fast and yummy!

Friendly staff, open till midnight, expensive for a bowl, cute combo flavors.

We stopped in here for some desert on a week night.  The staff greeted us with smiles a plenty!
I liked that they listed all the flavors by the door.  The names on the gelatos were mostly in Italian - although cool, was annoying since it didn't match the list by the door.
The combos they suggest are very cool - I went with the almond joy which was the hazelnut, coconut and dark chocolate -mmmm!

It was a good flavor and texture, but not as generous as other places that cost less.

If i'm looking for some gelato while hanging around Cherry Creek i would definitely stop in again!

Sushi Tazu

Small selection of rolls, friendly server, but bait and switch on the prices, leading to a more expensive evening than anticipated.

I partook of the groupon earlier this month - $10 for $25 at Tazu.
We decided to use it for our anniversary dinner. Yeah romance!

We made a reservation for 6pm, arrived right on time and had no trouble being seating.
We received a number of menus - specialties and the sushi list (it was blue).

We went with:
Tuna - very good
Salmon - very good
Egg - very good
Eel - mmm! tasty!
Spicy Tuna Roll - so so - i'd skip it
Crunchy crab roll - sooooo good!
Volcano roll - takes a long time to come out and not that good - skip it
Excalibur roll - similar to Vietnamese fried spring roll - tasty - not worth $8

We also got Edamame - at $5 - say what? Happa and Xengo at least have a tasty sauce and deliver a ton more...  Don't bother.

When we received our bill it seemed excessive and i I noticed the list i filled out with our sushi choices was not what was attached to the bill.
Then I noticed that the list had different pricing for the Nigiri...  sigh.
The original list I filled out said $2 a piece, the list attached to the bill had everything at $5 per 2 pieces, except for the eel which was 5.50.
According to my math - which i didn't get to verify till i got home we paid an extra $7 - which is almost a whole roll! Poor math would have been fine, but a bait and switch with menus is pretty crappy. I wont be back.
