The Bagel Factory has been a staple along the Grand Strand for many years. It is the closet thing that locals have to a NY Style Deli breakfast. A quick stop in the mourning leads to a great toasted bagel and cream cheese or a hearty omelet and home fries. I haven't tried it for lunch but I know they serve Boar's Head meats!
If you are looking for a a great place to get bagels this is the place.

For most people, barbecue is a way of cooking, but some barbecue is a way of life, a culture. For those who believe that BBQ is a culture, it is easy to see why Radd Dew's BBQ in Conway is one of the top restaurants in the state. For more than 25 years, residents of Horry County have been visiting this great establishment. Open on Friday and Saturday from 5 to 9, Radd Dew's BBQ is a buffet all-you-can-eat style restaurant serving some of the finest fixin's the South has ever seen. Hash, slaw, beans, rice, hush-puppies, fat back and the mouth-watering chicken bog are just a few of the tasty vittles that adorn the buffet. The pork-based BBQ is top notch. Whether you prefer a light pepper vinegar barbecue, a hearty tomato vinegar barbecue or even pork ribs, Radd Dew's BBQ has something for everyone. Everyone knows that to be a great barbecue restaurant you have to have good banana pudding and sweet tea. Well, Radd Dew's has both. For the true southern fan, you can even find chitterlings on Thursday night during the colder months!
Part of what separates a good barbecue restaurant from a great barbecue restaurant is the people. Jim Dew has done a great job of carrying on the family tradition and the southern charm that his father Radd has instilled in the restaurant. Locals have taken to this charm and have made it a staple for family dining. It is a great place to go and see all your neighbors and catch up on all the hustle and bustle of the week. Original tools from the farm and family memorabilia adorn the walls and reinforces the southern charm. Once one enters the doors of Radd Dew's, one knows that this is an authentic, old, country-style BBQ restaurant! Take all of this, put it together and one can see why Radd Dew's BBQ is a way of life -- A BBQ Culture Icon!

Manny's preps up some of the tastiest sandwiches and subs in Myrtle Beach. If you want a great quality deli that has "the best potato salad" that I have ever had then you should check out Manny's. Serving Boar's Head meat and fresh bread, it no wonder you will find many of Myrtle Beach's finest hanging out in the back enjoying their lunch.
To be honest the restaurant is a little run down, not that clean and the owners (the only workers) have that NY attitude, however I can overlook that due to the quality of their food. I know what to expect when I walk in so I am never disappointed. Also be forewarned that they only take cold hard cash, not any of that funny money called credit cards.
Once again I can not stress enough about their potato salad. It is the best I have ever had. It is not your typically potato salad which makes it great. You might want to think of it as a cross between potato salad and mashed potatoes! It goes great with their egg salad sandwich on white bread with a dill pickle!

Get there early. This little hole in the wall has great country cooking as well as country folks to gather to share the gosip.
You never know what will pop up on their menu, but one thing is for sure "It is all Good!" They do have a few staples that you can count on such as a pork chop sandwich or a fresh steamed hot dog and ice cream.
Jamestown Grocery is the only full service gas station that I know about as well! This is truly a gem in a great town.

I have eaten at P.F. Chang's once before when I lived in Atlanta. I have always thought that it was glorified Chinese food. So when I went with friends to the one in Myrtle Beach I wasn't too excited.
The food was good as we shared it all across the table traditional style. I thought the portions were a little small compared to other Chinese restaurants (I was able to eat an entire lo main dish by my self) but at the same time there was plenty to go around. We had great service and the atmosphere was great.
The biggest difference I found was that afterwords I didn't get "tummy bubbles!" The quality of the foods they prepared was great. So if you are willing to pay the extra cash for quality meats then I recommend going. But if you can stand the tummy bubbles then just go to your local Chinese restaurant.

I was excited about eating here. It had all the great makings of a great BBQ restaurant. The decor, the look and even smoke logs out back! I decided to go all out and get the three choice sampler plate with chopped bbq, ribs and chicken. The food was a plenty. I like the fact I could eat outside and enjoy the fresh air. The staff was very pleasant as well.
As far as the BBQ itself. It was cooked really well, not to dry or over moist. The ribs were just ok, nothing to special but also far better than you can get from chain restaurants. The chopped bbq was good and the banana pudding excellent. The chicken on the other had was a let down. I had to over sauce it to make it enjoyable for my taste. I wasn't expecting the cut of meat that I got for the chicken so I guess that was a let down.
All in all a great restaurant to try out. Not in my top 10 of South Carolina BBQ joints though.

A staple here on the Grand Strand for over 70 years, but I can bet half of the locals have never even been to Peach's Corner. They have great footlong hotdogs, BBQ sandwiches (Radd Dew's), cheese fries...the works.
Located in the heart of downtown you are sure to see some interesting sights as you bell-up to their bar style dinner. Peach's corner is a great place to go before you play some sketball or video games next door.

River City Cafe is a local chain owned by the Divine Dinning Group. It has various locations across the beach. Each location is slightly different with its own crowd. The one off of 21st ave. caters to the tourist market but you can spot locals there as well.
The food is pretty good. A great variety of burgers on there menu gives everyone an option of something to try. (I personally prefer the Black and Blue Burger.) They have great fries and chicken fingers as well.
The service can be spotty at times due to the rush of tourist but for the most part pretty well. I do like the fact that they have outdoor patio seating. (There are not that many in Myrtle Beach.) I have been know to bring my dog up here to eat with me as well.
A great place to go and have a burger once in a while!

No longer Tastee-Freez, The Freeze's new moniker is fitting. The best place for ice-cream in Conway, The Freeze serves up great shakes, malts, Sunday's and just about any other type of ice-cream. Not to be outshined by the cold counterparts, The Freeze also severs up some of the best hotdogs, hamburgers and grilled cheese sandwiches. Top it off with a bowl of homemade soup and you have a winner.
Another bonus is the fact that The Freeze also servers up Radd Dew's Pit cooked BBQ!

My wife, child and I ate at Nico's last night for the first time. Right away I could tell that this quaint little restaurant was built perfectly for the Grand Strand's transplants from the North East corridor. The couples entering and exiting the restaurant were older and had a Northern accent, but were very welcoming with Southern charm.
The food was your typical "good" NY style Italian food and the service was great. Overhearing other table's conversations of "going back to Long Island to visit," solidified the transplant mentality that I first thought of when we entered.
Our late night arrival lead to a a seat by ourselves and the staff was more than accommodating to our little girl running around. We had a great time and good conversation at this little "whole in the wall" restaurant.
