I kinda think I want my living room to look like Estadio. One of the coolest things about this place is the decor - big, heavy wooden chairs with leather inlays prop you up to a nice big wooden table that makes you feel like some sort of king in medieval times. I like it!
Despite a general disdain for pricey "tapas" joints, I actually think the food here is pretty good. Don't feel guilty ordering everything "Huevos y Frituras" (Eggs & Fried) section of the menu, since everything on there is completely badass. The patatas bravas was so good that I had to order two helpings of it - one as an appetizer to share w/ peeps, and another to accompany my skirt steak. In retrospect, I could have done without the skirt steak and just had the potatoes - they were really unbelievable and unique; i've never had anything like them elsewhere.
They've got a pretty great beer & cocktail list, and their Embutidos (or Cured Meats to us greengos) were fantastic. One of the better quality charcuteries I've had in DC, though not abundant in quantity.
My overall feeling about Estadio is that it's good-to-decent food in an environment that absolutely kicks ass. I'd say this is a great date spot if you're cool with a bit of noise, but also a really fun place for a group of friends to hang.

The lady and I had a hankering for Mexican but didn't want to go to far/wanted to try something new, hence the visit to tortilla coast. Here's why that was a bad decision:
- slowest waitstaff ever. He was a nice guy but just not cut out for food service job I guess
- clueless managers only slightly more professional/responsive than slow waitstaff. Nice woman but far from adult supervision for the junior staff
- 15 minutes waiting at table before being greeted
- 20 minutes for guacamole to come out
- 20 minutes from then for a salad to come out
- 20 more minutes for our entrees (tacos) to come out
- 3 tables around us each asked to speak to management about food delays and one table of 10 just got up and left
- salsa that I'm pretty sure was just canned marinara sauce
- mediocre tacos
- cold rice - if you are gonna make me wait an hour for tacos, they had better be piping hot when you do finally bring them
Sadly, the place was actually busy, but not enough to justify all the delays. I won't be going back, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Walk the few extra blocks to el centro or lauriol plaza...
Honestly haven't been this dissatisfied by a restaurant in DC as long as I can remember.
