What a great addition to East Falls! Semi-casual atmosphere, fresh delicious food, and incredible service... I mean incredible! I can't image how our server could have been any more attentive.
We went here on a Friday night without a reservation and were seated promptly. They brought out seasoned pistachios and garbanzo beans while we waited--yum!
We enjoyed:
- tasty cheeses served with fire roasted bread
- a crab appetizer... so good
- spinach pizza
- salad
Everything was splendid. We will definitely be back.

I was just kicked out of this cafe. I should point out that that hours listed on Yelp are inaccurate. The Trolley Car website indicates that they close at 9 Monday thru Thursday, and I can dejectedly confirm that this is the case.
Nonetheless, I had another pleasant experience here with a rather important caveat...
The internet sucks.
Neither I nor the guy next to me were able to get a connection in the patio. On the suggestion of my (very nice) waitress I moved closer to the cafe itself, but to no avail. Mind you, the cafe is tiny and patio area relatively spacious, so sitting outdoors is the norm. Besides, the problem seemed to be with the service itself and not the signal. Who knows, I'm not computer expert.
I appreciated the yummy peach ice cream on the patio with my doggie, but unfortunately did not end up getting work done. Oh well.

I just had a perfect breakfast at the Trolly Car Cafe!
I just moved to East Falls a few weeks ago, and have been exploring the area. I've been twice now and this place is truly a gem.
The spinach and feta frittata with homefries was delicious, the outdoor seating was cozy and gets a great review from my dog, and the waitress elevated the experience from a good 4 to an excellent 5. She brought me water for the dog, was very friendly, and was prompt.
I have read other complaints about price. My meal came to twelve dollars with tea. I mean, I won't go every day, but it seems perfectly reasonable for a Sunday breakfast. When I went there were patrons, but it was certainly not crowded.

Maybe I was feeling adventurous. Maybe I'm just cheap.
I'm not sure what lead me to Leon's Barber Shop when I wanted to chop off inches of my hair, but that is where I went. The gods must have been on my side, because I left with a sweet haircut. Overpriced stylists? Never again!

No matter, my cheeses were splendid, the bread toasty and fresh, and the brussel sprout pizza still has my mouth watering. I can literally walk to this place, so I bummed it in sweats, but this someone with a bit more class would have felt out of place wearing the same.
