Wow.
(If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. Seriously).
So. We took our little female Shih-Tzu to this Petsmart for grooming not too long ago.
THEY. WERE...
HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Not necessarily the job they did, because we'd used them in the past and they were usually satisfactory... it was the SERVICE!)
We dropped her off and they treated us like we didn't have an appointment (which we did). The whole situation was weird and we decided to let their slightly rude attitudes slide as they looked busy.
MY GF had to call THEM 4 hours after dropping our baby off and they reported that they were unable to groom her because "he" was being, and I quote, "Kennel Aggressive."
..............
... Ok, if you know our dog (you're welcome to meet her & see for yourself), she's the sweeeeeeeeeeeeetest little thing you've ever seen. I know everyone probably says that about their dog, but ours really, really is.
She's shy, bashful, playful and super loving.
We've never (literally NEVER) seen her get mean or angry or aggressive with any life form EVER in her life.
Also, our dog is a SHE, not a he. We had to keep correcting them on this. . .
We told them they must be mistaken, that our tiny sweet Shih-Tzu would never ever try to bite anyone or act the way they said she was. They proceeded to tell us (in a very rude way) that 'sorry,' supposedly 'he' was showing 'his' teeth & growling and we needed to come pick 'him' up.
* TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, THEY WERE TREATING US & REFERRING TO HER IN RUUUUUUUUUDE WAYS! SERIOUSLY?!?!?! *
- If she was being so aggressive since the get-go, why didn't they just call us after half an hour or an hour? Why wait till it was practically time to PICK HER UP to tell us this news?
- The whole grooming process is supposed to take [at the longest] FOUR hours.... (Which was how long it had been before we called THEM finally. WTF?).
- Is it possible they were so busy they didn't get around to grooming her & didn't know what else to do other than lie & blame it on her in the last minute?
- The ACTUAL truth ended up being way crazier than we'd ever imagined.................
After much phone debating (and speaking to the supervisor) we came & picked her un-groomed self up. Poor baby. Way to waste our time and make all of us feel like shht.
The next day our dog had a vet appointment at the Banfield inside the same building (literally 5 feet away from the grooming department of the store) so we took her in to see the doc.
We mentioned what happened to her (to the vet) while apologizing that our dog was smelly & unkempt, and to our surprise the vet told us that there was another Shih-Tzu admitted into grooming the previous day and it looked just like our baby. Apparently HE was very aggressive acting and barky/mean....
THEN, it all became clear to us.
They CONFUSED our sweetheart girl with some other mean Shih-Tzu.
Wow!
Way to go, guys. Way to go.
A store's general manager called me back the next day to vaguely apologize if there was a mix up but didn't offer any kind of other compensation other than "sorry."
Man, we've never been so pissed/offened ever (especially my gf who loves that dog like it's her own child - literally).
So yeah. AVOID THIS PLACE!
I REPEAT:
******** AVOID THIS PETSMART'S GROOMING DEPARTMENT!!!! ********
******** THEIR STAFF IS UNPROFESSIONAL, TRASHY, AND RUDE! GROOM YOUR PET YOURSELF BEFORE RESORTING TO USING THEIR GROOMING SERVICES!!!! ********
Yelp! is a great site.
Sure it has its problems like anything else in life, but any fool can see that the goods definitely outweigh the bads.
It is very community oriented & succeeds not only as consumer-submitted business review site but also as being a cornerstone of all things friends, get togethers, and social networking in many peoples lives.
*TO ALL THE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT DELETED REVIEWS*
OK, one review getting mistakenly deleted is understandable, but more than that means there is something wrong. . .
To my knowledge I have never had any of my reviews removed.
... Perhaps the reason yours get deleted is because of a profound lacking in how "real" you appear to be to Yelp employees as well as other Yelpers..
I noticed a business here in Alameda where a man OBVIOUSLY created a personal account to leave a great review of the business he owned. A couple of days later his profile & review were gone (most likely deleted by Yelp after probably getting flagged multiple times).
I'm glad the website took action and his profile & review were promptly terminated.
- The point is: If you are legitimate, help Yelp to see this. Add friends, review more than a handful of places, put your real name, put real pictures of yourself, etc.

I think Yelp is a business that deserves the success it is achieving and I am glad to part take in reviewing/chatting/helping the site continue to grow.
Definitely one of the easiest 5 stars I have ever given out!

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
Category: Airports
Still, I agree with one getting 3 stars.
This airport's out of date in many ways compared to some other major cities, but it sheer size & relatively easy to understand layout both make it pretty cool in my opinion.
Having nearby parking, trams, and wifi of course help, too.
Probably the worst things about it in my opinion are the "gritty" or "dirty" feelings some parts of it have from being behind on technology & decor (and I suppose for how much constant wear it gets not being as well kempt as it should be?), the frequent chaotic/disoranized vibe of the whole place, and the workers not being as nice/helpful as they should be.
Still, I don't have any major problem with this airport in general.

Jay's Cheesesteak
Categories: Sandwiches, Vegetarian
Neighborhood: Mission
.. Hate to say it but the seitan cheesesteak I ate here once was just...... not good. It didn't taste gross or anything, but a third of the way through it I was looking at other people's orders and wishing I'd gotten something else.
Was seriously let down & haven't been back since.
That aside, props to them for the large amount of vegetarian items. Some props too for good location & cool look to the place.
No extra props for good service as it was only "Meh."
I have 2 stars.. one for each of ya.

Dollar Store
Category: Department Stores
Neighborhood: Mission
There's no 99 Cents Only store in the area but this store does a fine job at keeping up with all the cheap goodies.
I do kinda wish they had fresh produce & at least frozen foods, but hey.
The service is usually very nice.
Aside from the good prices, the best part is the SIZE!
(Big floor allows for plenty of isle browsing & cool finds!!)
Not the best area and the place could be a little cleaner, but it's ok by me. It IS the Mission afterall.
You have to be kind of an idiot to go into one of these type stores & either NOT shop smart or expect great, amazing values/deals on everything..
(Examples: Chances are everything's made in China & some items aren't the best deal even THOUGH they're only a dollar).
So yeah, I'm a fan no doubt.

THAI products that may be hard to find elsewhere (all in one place for sure). Makes looking for my items much easier.......
Friendly service and the perfect sized physical location --- not too big, not too small.
Most importantly the prices are fair. Woo!
I'll definitely be back here.

Overpriced!!
Snooty atmosphere which might appeal to some but not I.. (Fancy is nice WHEN it all comes together & works...)
I left feeling unsatisfied & ripped off! Haha.
Sorry Eagle.. 2's the best I can give.

Big Lots in general are pretty cool stores --- not this one, though.
Went in here & asked the lady at the front if they had yoga mats (I'd seen them here in the past). She cockily replied that they didn't and that they've NEVER had them....
I said, "That's weird, I've seen them at other stores before...."
"Nope, we've never had those sorry," was her reply, kind of looking at me like i was crazy for thinking they did.
I decided to just walk around anyway and find it on my own in case they DID have them & she was wrong...... Thankfully another employee heard our little interaction and followed me to help show me where they were.
So, they DID have them after all. If the other lady didn't help me who knows if I'd have found it.
(She's basically the reason this review is 2 stars & not 1).
Also, the store was largely unkempt, disorganized, and felt dirty.
One last positive note: At the checkout counter they had venus fly traps which are awesome! So, they get a little prop for that one.
Conclusion: 2 stars.

We got their standard $19.95 oil change which was awesome being as not many places do it at this price & most of the ones that do require a coupon...
There was some confusion over a couple things including how to reset the oil life meter in our car (maybe the man helping us was being trained at the time?) & although the oil change didn't take long it wasn't the quickest we've ever had.
Still, it was a job well done.
We'll be back.

Where to begin.....?
- Employees that stare at you with a b*tchy expression when you try and ask them something....
(.. A few are OK, but the majority are rude & unhelpful!)
- Messy isles littered with clothes and misplaced items everywhere.
- Bathrooms that make you wanna V O M I T !
(.. Last time I went ALL of the toilets were full of toilet paper, human waste, and the whole room smelt HORRENDOUS! I decided not to even use their restroom and had to wash my hands just for being in there!!!)
- Unkempt outside.
(.. Trash cans always overflowing, etc).
*VERDICT: Thanks, but no thanks. We'll have to find a different location.
