You take this place as is, cash only not return! Another great Dallas dive spot with characters galore. Best to go with a group of friends. They have 2 pool table and a laid back atmosphere. I use to love to come on Wednesday karaoke anymore and get greatly entertained by the chick singer with the super high, squeaky voice. The new Wednesday karaoke spot is Fallout Lounge with the same guy that use to do it at Meridian Room on Thursdays a couple years back.

Pretty much The Old Monk but newer (same guys, go figure). Great outdoor patio and the service is really good but it's just missing a certain worn character to it. Maybe they should invite the patrons to bring some chains in and we'll beat all the furniture up to 'antique it'.

Great spot off of Henderson. I love all the old school video games and the outside patio right on the street is very urban. Dig it! The bartenders' service is lacking so be sure to order 2 and double fist it. The food pretty tasty and the portions are ginormous! Ain't nobody gonna beat me at Donkey Kong Jr!!
This is a great little coffee house. The owners are incredibly picky about using really fresh and organic ingredients. I've not had a bad cup here yet! I really like the Chai tea here. The fee Wi-Fi is awesome and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Keep up the great work!
This place reminds me of a shop in Chicago. Honestly, you've got the fresh meat market in the back, home made ice cream that's the bomb, beers, wines and sodas the world over, ready to bake lasagna and a sandwich shop with fresh produce. The place has been there since 1966 and I know why. It's one of a kind in Dallas!! Definitely try the Italian Stallion sandwich if you love lots of meat in your mouth! Whoa.
Awesome food in this little place. Off the beaten path but definitely worth checking out. Imagine if Brother's Chicken on Henderson decided to do Creole food. Yeah, this place is great!
I've only been here a handful of times but always find a great shirt to wear. A good friend turned me on the place and you just wouldn't think to find a retro/fashion shop in that area off of McKinney. By the way, who's the smoking hot redhead that works there? Wow!
This place is the poster child for why hip-hop can have a negative connotation in Dallas. Lot's of big, baggy jeans, over-sized, hoody wearing, ghetto fabulous thug want-to-Bs patronizing this place. The music is the top 40, booty grinding hip-hop tunes. The bar service is wanting and when you get a drink the bartender acts like you've done them a favor when we all know it's the other way around. Oh well, you need places like this so that you can appreciate the good spots.

This place is definitely going for the trendy "be seen" atmosphere. The food is OK but definitely not great. I'm not a desert guy but the brownie there is tasty. The bar service is better than the wait service. The Porch has much better food and owned by the same company. Ohhh, have you ever had the Mac N' Cheese from the Porch? So good in your mouth!!

The inside is nice and great selection of beer but wow, I don't get all the great reviews. Every time I come here it's usually dead with the same faces and the mouth-breather Asian bartender is sure to ignore you for 10 minutes. The only night that was pretty fun was the Skaraoke night on Thursdays but I've heard that moved to Wednesday nights at Fallout Lounge. The foods OK but better at Meridian Room. Man, have you ever had the pulled pork tacos at Meridian Room? They're AWESOME!
