This place is good- while the musty smells and the creepy looking clientele and counter help may be a turn off- they maintain a wide array of beer and wine selections. the walls and walls of hard liquor are also pretty sweet. the prices are actually cheaper than many of the other local stores.
While it is outrageous to have to pay 4 dollars each way over the bridge- i must say that the toll collectors are always very gracious and pleasant. today the gentleman asked me how my day was going...this is nice. eight dollars to go to and from newport...not so nice.
This park has always been very therapeutic for me- i think i always rediscover this place around the fall and so the magical colors of the leaves encasing the trail almost like a colorful tunnel keep me focused. while the actual walking trail is only 2.5 miles- the hills are fantastic and will take care of any non-muscle fibers on the bod. the hills hurt but it is a great workout- i also advise you to either be pushing a stroller or walking a dog- 2 to 3 times around and you are feeling the burn!!!!
I am a fan of the snickerdoodle coffee. I dont eat donuts but i hear....ok i do eat donuts, i just am not supposed to be eating donuts.

This was not what i expected..maybe i had false and twisted expectations of tables of dead people....well it is all very scientific..i began having flash backs to high school biology classes and the sections of the science museum that i tended to zone out in while touring. displays taught us all about each and every part, bone, nerve joint in our body and we saw them...encased in glass or rigged in human like positions. In a few they even added fake eyeballs to assist us with the imagery.
there was a controversial fetus room which was interesting.
i am more intrigued about the scandal behind where these bodies came from....i cant rely on google or wickipedia for my facts but if there is a reliable information source out there, i would love to access it.
31 dollars per person....i could've spent that at the buffet!

we actually had 2 great experiences. who knew that in vegas...a city where you can get anything...there are no airport shuttles that accomodate residential areas...only hotels...as a result here are our stories..
Sent a limo to the airport to pick up someone- they upgraded us without charge and treated our guest with white gloves as it was her birthday.
Second time we called the night before to get a ride to the airport- driver fit 5 adults, 1 baby, a stroller and 6 suitcases- he still managed a smile and roses for the ladies.

Service was decent....we chose this spot because it was the quietest option available. family friendly yes...this is a challenge in vegas casinos
food was ok -chix fettuccini alfredo,eggplant parm, pasta with meat sauce, artichoke pasta and a garlic basil pasta dish with 2 mediocre meatballs.

It was an impressive atmosphere-views of the fountain show every half hour and countless weddings to watch in the courtyard from the windows...i liked it here. DInners consisted of edamame (apps)kobe beef, lemon spinach salmon and grilled chix. the portions were elegantly distributed but i wondered if it ewould fill me. Vegetabvles on the side means 1 green bean, 1 miniature dwarf carrot and a grape white onion...uummm....

Decent thai food. We ordered takeout and chose a wide variety of dishes. pad thai, sweet and sour dishes and multiple appetizers. Nothing stood out as amazing however the crunchy fried chix left me perplexed: it is a piece of fried chix which has been strategicaly dissected... the chix meat has been removed, and replaced with a pork stuffing..and then it is sewn back up in the deep fried chix skin...interesting.
