86'd?! How the hell do you get 86'd from this dump?! They've 86'd more people from here - NO WONDER WHY THE PLACE IS DEAD!!! I can hear the crickets from the parking lot!!!
This used to be a great place to chill. Not so much anymore.
I'll drink my water at home, thank you very much.

Very good!! Saw this on the food network and had to try. Today is my birthday and my lunch was THE BEST!!! I ordered the Niteclub - delish! My daughter had the Nickelburger - Delish. My fiance - the Pulled Pork - Delish.
Al I needed was that glass of Pinot.....other than that - EXCELLENT.
Lucked out, my wait was only 15 minutes.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. I used to save my lunch money to hit this place after school.
I am now 34 and I still get a hankering for Fosselmans. I dont have much of a sweet tooth but when I do, I come here.
All I can say is Butter Pecan!! And I say that with a smile.

OOOOHHHHHH The Crest Lounge, how I love thee....
I used to hang out at the Temrose and am known for bar hopping around SGV. Anyway, the Crest is such a DRAMA FREE - NO BULLSHIT bar (aside from Al's of course - they are ALWAYS at the TOP of my list) and the bar staff actually knows how to make a drink. I love the steak, I love the box and I like that fact there's a mix of people here. Not always the same faces (same faces in most cases = bar drama) and the blend of young and old people keep it lively.
Great place to go to start off a night out, to catch a game or to finish off with a night cap. :)

Its cold out and I want pho. I mean, really, really want pho! I check in with Yelp and stumble upon Saigon Flavor. Looks good. I'm hungry. And its only 15 minutes away. I just don't feel like driving to Viet Huong! Let's give it a shot!
So I bundle up, get into my little car, get my chicken pho and drive home.
Unpacking it hmmm...Thats all? Why so skimpy? Maybe it'll expand. No. Not so much. OKAAAY...Maybe its really YUMMY!! Hmmmm...not so much. It's bland with a weird after taste. Its SOOO packed with MSG (my feet swelled the minute the spoon hit my lips), the chicken pieces (all 5 of them) were dark meat and they gave me a handful of sprouts!!

It's going to take me days to get rehydrated.

YAY!!!! I love this place!!!! I work in the area and oh WOW - I can smell the burgers from miles away!!! I love the juke box (lots of Stones, Beatles and Elton John) - the people are WAY cool - and the drinks are TASTY!!!

We went in on a Sunday, got a server who confessed he had a bad day. Whatever. We just want to eat!
Lets get to the eats: WHATS WITH THE GROUND PEPPERONI?! WHOA!!
They recommended this and we figured it was the house specialty, "this is what keeps them in business" and it sounded fun. What a mistake. The saltiest, spiciest peperoni the gave 3 days of heartburn!! I mean, I LOVE spicy, but chili spicy NOT this kind of spicy. I had 1 piece and a sorry excuse of a wet, soggy house salad. We had to ask three times for Parmesan cheese and by the time he remembered, our pizza was cold.
Just give me the check...I have a 40 minute drive home. All this way for that?!

Apparently Gus' changed ownership and it shows. I went in for some BBQ recently and the place was completely redone. I mean, the decor was nice, but the homey feel wasn't there anymore. I'm from the area and my mom used to bring me here as a kid and I have to say I was completely disappointed. We tried the food and it wasn't the same.

Very, very good! The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and restaurant was CLEAN. The pho is delicious and the spring rolls are flavorful. The portions are no joke! One of the best pho places around.
