This place is so fun! Just the feel of it makes you want to bring the whole family out on a Sunday afternoon!

I went on Wednesday evening, 4 days after they opened. It was VERY busy, and they had plenty of staff on duty, all of who were helping people and had them in and out in no time. Maybe they have worked out the kinks?

I ordered a small sundae, which came to about $6 with tax. It was huge. 6 scoops. And unlimited toppings (including hot fudge....so not sure what happened when other people visited to not get fudge).

Personally, I love thick, heavy hot fudge. The thinner it is the more it is just chocolate syrup. The ice cream (I got banana and snickers) was really thick and creamy. My fiance and I split the sundae, and enjoyed every bite! We will definitely be visiting again!

My boyfriend (ehem....FIANCE) just spent over a month ring shopping completely unbeknownst to me. He went to every jewelery store in the Boston area. Literally. Amorosa had the best quality, at the best price, and without being pushy or rude. And trust me, this man did his research! The result is a ring that is absolutely perfect. Here's a tip guys....shop for the diamond first, then the setting.

I have nothing but positives to say about Maximo's.

1) Price. The prices cannot be beat for big portions of thoughfully prepared, healthier meals.

2) Selection: They have a huge menu that is sure to make everyone in the family happy. From burritos, to turkey burgers mixed with goat cheese and tabouli (which I had, it was amazing!), to salads, to creative dinners and sandwiches. See, something for everyone!

3) Decor: I like  it. The big kitchen is nice and exposed so you can see exactly where your food comes from. It is a takeout place, but there is still one table and some window stools in case you decide to eat there.

4) The people: Maximo's is run by a friendly, local family. When you stop in, neighbors and friends are there saying hi and grabbing dinner. It is just nice to see a real community restaurant.

5) DELIVERY!!! They just announced that they now deliver! Healthy REAL food that delivers?! There is no need to say anything more....

Love it! The only thing they have going against them is their strange location. It is in that weird arcade mall in Coolidge Corner. Just an odd little place.

So you are probably wondering...Italian & Thai? What the heck?! Well, the wife hails from Thailand and the husband from Italy. And there you have it!

We only sampled items from the Thai menu, but each and every one was fantastic! Everything was super fresh and made to order....and you could taste it! And when we ordered one of our dishes extra spicy, it came EXTRA spicy....and I like that! If I am asking for extra spicy I can probably take the heat, so don't wuss out on me!

Over priced. Over rated. Tiny portions, huge price tag. Food not even worth writing about.

If you go, stick to a glass of wine. It is nice to sit out on the patio...thats about the nicest thing I have to say.

The only bad thing about Naked Pizza...there isn't one close to me. I am not sure why it tastes so good....maybe it is the carefully sourced ingredients, or the super special, ultra hot oven. All I know is that pizza with black beans, cheddar and jalepenos is A-OK in my book! And yes, I do find myself craving it and driving out of my way on the way home to pick it up for dinner.

A special added bonus (at no extra cost to you!), this pizza is loaded with probiotics. Lets just say it tastes better than an Activia, but works the same...if you catch my drift.....TMI for a restaurant review?

Marlo helped us set up an end of the program Gala for our Executive students in the program I work for in my day job.

The best part, while there was a whole list of venues that matched what we needed, the very first venue Dina showed us had exactly what we were looking for. She listened to us and took what we said and turned it into an event! It was the easiest planning I have ever had to do!

We definitely plan on using Marlo again, they could not have made the process any easier for us, and all within our budget. Bravo!

My in-laws have a spa from here that we have really enjoyed for quite some years. HOWEVER, the spa has now been broken for over a month, and no one from New England Spas will respond, or come out to fix the tub...even when the in-laws would be paying for repairs!

Over a month ago, they tried to contact for an appointment, finding out that you can only contact them online, and HAVE to provide a credit crad when submitting a request for repairs. They say they will notify you 24 - 48 hours prior to some one coming in for repairs.

3 1/2 weeks later and there is still no news from New England Spas. It is supposed to get down to 20 degrees tonight, which means the spa will freeze over and brake even more than it is. We think this is enough for us to call the "emergency" phone number. Well, how the heck does an emergency # help if they won't send anyone out until Monday because no one is "on-duty". What was extremely helpful (read: sarcasm) is that the person on the phone told us to put a space heater in front of the internal components of the tub to keep the lines from freezing!! Seriously!

In summary, New England Spas will be happy to sell you a wonderful spa. However, if you ever need it fixed, even if you are willing to pay for said repairs. might as well throw your money out the window.

PS- it is "black friday" weekend, I guarentee there are people "on-duty" SELLING tubs... Show owner comment »

This is formerly the Country Side Cafe. One of the waitresses, Robyn, took over ownership and vows that the people and food that you love will remain the same! If it does, 5 stars!!

There is nothing not to like about Country Side Cafe. It is definitely a hidden gem that you are lucky to find! Packed with locals and wait staff who knows their customers' names and orders, you just don't get plaves like this in the city!

You can easily walk away from breakfast or lunch for well under $10 per person. I would like to give a personal plug for the coffee, it was some of the best I have had in ages!

But don't think this is simple food, they get down-right creative with breakfast! Pineapple-coconut pancakes?! But you still can get your old favorites, and never underestimate the power of a mug of homemade soup and an egg-salad sandwich!

***One of the waitresses, Robin, asked me to note that the Countryside Cafe is NOT closing! Robin is actually taking over ownership as of the 1st week in November. They are closed for the first 2 weeks of November, but they will reopen after that with all of your favorite people and food still in tact! The only difference will be the name - Over Easy Cafe!***
