When I'm Not Yelping...worken hard!
Why You Should Read My ReviewsI'm in the service industry so I'm picky!
My friend got a cheeseburger with an egg on it (heartattach on a plate!) with onion rings. I wanted those darn pancakes.... so I got a combo that came with 2 pancakes. It all came out nice and hot. He enjoyed his burger and it looked really good! I enjoyed mine and boxed up a lot!
It's always clean ... I've always had friendly service and only had one friend that ordered something she didn't like (and they offered to make something else.... and took that off the bill)
This location does late night dining... right!
Cheers

I ordered a 2 meat combo which wasn't on the board. I wanted to try the Pork and the brisket because that's what I love to eat at Famous Daves.
The platter was purdy big as you can see from the photo. I was wishing I had someone with me to share! The pork was really tender and had a nice flavor. (I really liked it a lot) The brisket was semi tender and didn't have a lot of flavor. The sweet potato fries were good. I did not care for the coleslaw at all. I actually asked the gal that was taking my order if I should try the macaroni salad or the coleslaw. She made the slaw sound really good. It was very bland. Had no flavor or kick at all. The cornbread muffin was little, cold and whelp, not very tastey.
I'm not sure if it was the owners mom... but, I think so... was making all kinds of desserts! They have a couple of display cases that reminded me of some of the places in Texas.
The prices were reasonable. $16.00 for the 2 meat combo and a soda. (this is more of a dinner price)
I need to go back to try the Sausage and the ribs. I'd definitely order a pork sandwich from here!
I did attach a photo as well!
Cheers
I made my way there... Was greeted immediately and sat (good sign)
The server stopped by quickly to get my drink order(an even better sign)
Unfortunately, that's where the good signs....DEAD END!
I ordered the Salad I used to always get in Texas! It seemed to take forever for it to arrive. I was wishing they still had the lil stopwatch clock so I could have something to watch! LOL
When it arrived it looked good. (see attached photo) I was really pleased to see how much chicken was on the salad. I took a big bite and whelp... thought I broke a tooth! (I didn't) They've changed the crust /batter and the chicken is REALLY crunchy. The salad used to be served with a hot roll that was bomb.... and there was nothing with it. The honey Dijon was good...
The server never came back to see how I liked my food. I had to catch her to ask for a box, dressing and a check.
My bill was only $12.81 for a Diet Soda and the salad. Which wasn't a bad price. They had signs up saying lunch for $5.99 but I didn't really see anything fitting that description and the server definitely didn't mention it.
They could do some major cleaning.... and clean the window seals... and some other things. The decor looked just like the Bennigan's in Texas.
I might come back to try the Monte Cristo.... but, I won't swing by if I'm craving a salad!

I had posted about our quest to find the best Monte Cristo and Yelpers told me that Curbside had a great Monte Cristo! So I asked my friend if she wanted to try it!
It was really cold out and we ended up with a seat inside but, I froze because we were right by the door and they have to run in and out so the doors stay open (totally understandable)
We ordered a Monte Cristo with sweet potato fries and eggs benedict with fruit. (I really needed to try it again after the horrible vinegar experience) The server knew we were sharing so she had them split the plates for us which was really sweet of her.
The monte cristo was just kinda Meh... Not a lot too it. I'm used to a lot of ham, turkey and cheese. As you can see from the picture it was pretty thin. The Eggs benedict was not good at all. The hollandaise sauce was more mustardy (if that's a word) Not light. I had to scrape it off. (I'll stick to Mama Katz for my eggs benedict)
The best thing about our meal was the sweet potato fries. I ended up ordering hot chocolate since I was freezing and it was good.
So our quest continues!

I know I need to give this place another try. So many people love going to Curbside. Ya know when you have a bad experience it just really sticks with you! It's a really cute place with some outdoor seating. I went with a friend for breakfast and we both ordered the eggs Benedict. The 1st bite caught me off guard. It was really bitter. I kept eating it wondering if it was gonna get better and it definitely wasn't! My friend kept staring at me finally I asked if his tasted OK or if it tasted bitter. He said it tasted bitter. When the server came up I told her that we couldn't figure out what was wrong but we needed to order something else. She looked at me like I was a total biatch and couldn't believe I had complained about our food. I don't remember what we ordered but we didn't really like it either it was some kind of dry sandwich. The owner stopped by and said he checked the hollindaise sauce and he wanted to make sure we knew that this was NOT how it normally tasted. Somehow someone had put too much vinegar in it. No wonder my stomach was curdling! I'll try to go back soon!

I ordered the pizza. It was $ 2.00 cheaper then the competitor's. It arrived and was nice and warm.... didn't have nearly as much pepperoni's as the competitors. The sauce was nice but the crust wasn't as good either.
So, I'll spend the $ 2.00 more. Don't get me wrong. They have a great deal... It feeds a lot of people.

Two Brothers From Italy Pizza

I ordered two one night. One 1/2 cheese and 1/2 cheese and jalapeneo. The other all pepperoni.
Everyone raved about the pizza and wanted to know where I ordered it from! It was so huge that I even had leftovers!
The next time I only ordered one. I put on gloves (food handling) and put pizza on plates and passed it out to everyone. So people didn't take 2-4 pizza's! Everyone that wanted one got a slice and a few people had 2nds!
Great crust, great sauce, great amount of pepperoni and cheese!
I started out a 4 star and realized my experiences with them have all been 5 star!
I wanted to have a nice Italian lunch before the Charger game started. I walked in and saw Charger jerseys all over. I was told to pick a seat which I picked a booth by a window. I didn't pay attention to the TVs until all of the sudden I'm sitting there thinking how FRICKEN loud this place was!
My server was friendly. I asked what is popular on the menu and then decided on one of the things she suggested. Lasagna with meat sauce. It came with a salad as well. I ordered a house salad with a vinaigrette. If I'd known the salad would be SWIMMING in the dressing I would have ordered it on the side. I could not even finish the salad because it was just too much and I couldn't escape the dressing.
She gave me two garlic rolls which were quite tasty. I did finally ask if they could please turn the TV down 2 noches. Her reply when she dropped off the lasagna was... she was trying to find the remote. This wasn't a sports bar... it's a restaurant!
I wish I had my camera with me... because the lasagna looked pretty and I have to say it tasted quite yummy. I think they make one lasagna with ricotta cheese and then they can top with meat sauce or just sauce (2 keep it vegetarian) It had a really nice flavor and is the reason for the bump in the 3 star.
I would definitely come back here again... I'd just do my ordering a lil different!

Jenny Craig Weight Loss Centre
Neighborhood: Escondido
I wanted to YELL at Dan Marino for telling us that Nutra system tasted so good! It tastes like cardboard!
Jenny Craigs food is by far the best I've had (since there is no diet gourmet out here) If you are always on the run. Don't have time to cook or pre-make things and tend to go through the drive through way too much then this is your kind of plan!
Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack dinner. You have to add fruits and vegetables and exercise.
I work some crazy hours and told the dude at jack n the crack we were gonna have to break up! LOL
You met with a consultant to go over your goals. You can pick your ideal goal vs them telling you what it should be. You meet with them weekly and buy your food for the week.
It might be more expensive then Nutra system but, the food is so good it's worth it!
This place is pretty new. I pulled up and started to go to the place next door but more people were inside Sombrero and my momma always said "go where the people are!"
When ordering I asked the gentleman at the counter if I wanted the Chimichanga or the California burrito. He said the California was really popular. That's how choices are made sometimes!
They have a lil bar of sauces that also has the carrots and jalapenos.
I got some carrots, the red sauce, green sauce and salsa. (It's my duty to try them all ... right?)
I bit into my Cali burrito and the meet was cooked really well. It was overdone and tough like some Cali Burrito's. There were too many fries. NO guacamole, NO sour cream. (key ingredients missing in my book)
The red sauce- Whelp, it just had a burned taste from roasting the peppers. But no real flavor or heat coming from it.
The Salsa- Meh - I've had better
The green- I usually like the red sauces better but, their green sauce was the winner!
The carrots- Needed a bit more marinating. No real pickley taste or heat from them.
I won't crave this place. I will go back to try the Chimichanga and see if that changes my review.
They also have a catering menu if you're having a small party!
