This place is alright.  Not like it's the best mixed plate joint I've ever ate at.

The loco moco was pretty good.  The lau lau was, too.  But they had these coconut prawns that were labeled "lahiana's best appetizer".  So of course I'm expecting them to be bomb.  NOT the case.  They were dry and way too crunchy.

The alcoholic drinks were standard.  Not bad, not great.

But the ambiance is great.  All outdoor seating and set right by the water.  It's a well priced restaraunt for be set right on the water front as it is.

Funny thing is...
Almost all of these reviews are 100% wrong.  And that's a fact, because they are all reviewing the Gordon Biersch Restaurant in downtown SJ.  If you look at the address of this listing, it's the actually Brewey, NOT the restaurant.

There is no dining, no walk-in, no servers.  It's just a straight up brewery with tours by reservation only.

Thing is, I'd agree with the consensus, the restaurant is just okay.  But this Brewery on Taylor and the tours they give?... 6/5 stars!!

They give tours to folks as long as you can get together more than 6 people.  AND it's FREE!

It was, hand down, the best brewery tour I've ever taken.  It was very detailed, led by one of the actual brew engineers, and free beer.  

We got a bottle beer to start off with, then we got to taste a full pint of winter bock straight from the fermenter (we also got to keep the class it was served in), then out guide sent us home with a six pack!

Seriously... how can you not give this 5 stars?

I agree with some of the other reviews here, that the food isn't all that great here.  but I hesitate to give it a low rating, because they do SOLID brews here.

on tap there I've had:
- the Big Swell IPA
- Coconut Porter
- the Black Pearl

the Coconut Porter is fantastic.  In my opinion, one of the best Porters I've ever had.  Then there is the Black Pearl.  It is the Coconut Porter aged in Rum Barrels (just when you didn't think it could get any better).

btw, if you order the Black Pearl in the voice of a Pirate with a "yaaarrr!" at the end, they give you extra.

... I'm just kidding about the ordering like a pirate thing, but it would have been funny if you did it, right?

I will never visit Honolulu without visiting Yama's.  The food is great and WELL PRICED.

and, hands down, everybody.... Yama's has got the best Poke you could ask for.

I wish I could give this place 3.5 stars.  because it's a good restaurant, especially for downtown Hayward.  Great Ambiance, good food, good service, great bar selection.  I was impressed by the quality of their cocktails and the selection of their beers.

But in complete honesty, this isn't a place I'd go out of my way for.  I'm grew up in Hayward, so Hayward has a special place in my heart.  If you live in the East Bay, it's well worth your time and money, but don't cross a bridge for it.

Whenever I'm in Southland Mall, I always stop by Tropik Sun.

Smoothies, popcorn, candies, chocolates it's all there.  It's the perfect snack shack, for whatever mood I'm in.  

The staff is always friendly, and the treats never disappoint.

This place is disappointing for Thai food.  I was kind of excited for Blue Mango to open in my 'hood, because I love the "bottomless" thai iced tea, from the steven's creek location, but to my dismay, they don't do it here.

Everything that we ordered was bland, definitely not an experience I expect from Thai food.  I don't think I'd come here again.  There are too many other options for thai food for Blue Mango to be on my list.

If they did the bottomless thai ice tea, then i'd consider it. :)

These may not be the best bagels you will ever taste in your life, but i dig them, and they sure make for great bagel sandwiches.  

I work just down the street from this place, the service is great and so are the bagel sandwiches.  I eat here a few times a week.  which works great for filling up my frequent buyer card.  buy 9, get the 10th free!

of the specialty sandwiches, i recommend:
- Derby Chicken Salad
- Nova Lox
- BLT

People who work here are absolute geniuses.  The engineers are absolute top of their class.  They are totally good looking too.  Brains and good looks, can the ladies really handle all this awesomeness?

I appreciate this shop for it's local appeal. I always gotten great deals and service on the equipment that I've bought from them.

I have even an original vestax 05 repaired here.  Although the service was a bit slow, I wasn't in a rush, and I thought $70 for diagnosis and repair was a good deal to get the humming out of the mixer.  It sounds as good as new now.
