Michael Tauber Architecture

Michael Tauber helped with a slight kitchen renovation, two complete bathroom renovations and various other odd ball stuff you have to do when you buy a new house. We've been living in our new home for a few months now and we love all of his changes/additions. Michael has great ideas and vision. We have very little style and we asked him to come up with a few ideas for us with our bathrooms and he aced on it on the first try. Our bathrooms are stunning. We will hire him in a heartbeat again if we ever have more work to be done.

Coming from the land of San Francisco where driving through to get your coffee just doesn't really exist (I think we have like one place??), this was just pure nirvana for me. Loved the service and loved not having to go in.

Great customer service.

I went in with my husband in a hurry to buy some furniture for a family member and they were attentive and thorough. I'm waiting for my furniture to arrive, so I'll update again after it comes, but so far I'm very impressed and would buy furniture here again.

Great stuff for college kids and those on a budget. Very sturdy and not out of control prices.

Very small place and cramped, but this place is just amazing. Best hummus I've had in a long time and the food is fresh and prepared directly after order. I think the cook whipped up my hummus right before serving it to me. Very friendly and just awesome yumminess.

One of the best meals I've ever had in my life. We didn't take advantage of the free valet parking, but there seemed to be parking around on the street and a few lots. The service is fast and the food was amazing.

Ladies: All of the servers are men and they will barely talk to you. But, whatever, the food is great.

Jesse Miner, Vegan Personal Chef

Jesse was my personal chef for over a year and I'm not even vegan! He came to my house while I was at work and made amazing vegan meals that I came home to and was able to eat all week long. They were absolutely delicious and perfect for transporting to/from work.  He listened to all of my feedback and custom tailored an entire menu for me that had everything I liked.

I would still have Jesse as my chef if it were not for my crazy travel and busy lifestyle that lands me in different locations every week.

I've gifted Jesse's services to friends and have hired him for private events.

Just amazing and lets not even get started on his desserts. All I can say are vegan cookies and chocolate pie. mmmm.

For those of you who don't like Henri Bendel, I have a crack pipe for you here to smoke, fully loaded.

Have you seen when this place was built? RESPECT. Booya.

This place rocks on so many levels. Yeah, it has overpriced baubles and tacky crap, but who doesn't? I found the tacky crap to be quite minimal.

Hard to navigate the perfume section? What, do you have 6 limbs? It is small and concise. What's to mess up here?

The clothes are spectacular. I do agree that it is odd that they don't sell shoes, but again, who cares?

At least stop by the chocolate bar and have a hot cocoa if you can't find *anything* redeeming about this place.

This is my first stop in NYC.

New chef = super unhappy.

The food no longer brings me to tears. The only thing that brings tears to my eyes is what they did to this place. Stay away. Stay far away.

The food here brought me to tears.  I'm not joking.  I tried the wine pairing menu with the vegetarian chef's tasting menu.  Everything made me smile.  The service was outstanding and the wine pairing couldn't have been better.  Hats off to the Sommelier and chef.  A great place for a special occasion or a random Tuesday when you just feel like being pampered.

Mccormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant

Knocked off two stars for mediocre waiter service. I expect better service when oysters are involved. I mean, the two go hand in hand unless you are buying them from a cart. Right?

However. Dears. If you like seafood, with a side of seafood and garnished with seafood on top? This is the place for you. Its pretty good.

I recommend mussels if you like that sort of thing. 10 bucks and in a heavenly sauce.

If it is nice out - sit outdoors. Watch the people go by and wave your fork at them.

Didn't have the dessert, but there's an interesting tray that comes by and there's something called a "berry bag" - I kid you not.

Wow. So, I haven't spent a lot of time in NY until recently, but I've always wanted to go to *the* Saks on 5th Ave.

It was a little more "historic" than I imagined it would be. The sales people were a little pushy, but overall it was a nice experience. I like how it feels like you are at a market or a bazar. Not a ton of care put into window displays are placement it seems. That's kind of unusual and interesting. I normally pay close attention to this kind of marketing and I didn't see much of it. Only near the escalators really.

There's a cafe inside, but I didn't get a chance to try it.

If you like perfume - they have some good stuff here.
