I saw a desk for sale here for $675 that two hours earlier that same day I saw for sale at Pampa on Pico for $250. This taught me much about this store in general, and furniture retail, broadly.

The staff alternate between being completely aloof and ignorant of your existence to providing a high degree of service. A cavernous and thinly stocked store - sort of like being in a gallery for food. The operation overall screams "identity crisis" - it's hard to say what exactly is for sale. But they seem to have the Venice bourgeois bases covered - fried kale chips to designer cookies that run the price of an entree in a Michelin rated restaurant. Mainly you just wonder what the rent must be and WTF is going on in general.

They make a good smoked salmon sandwich - that's about the highest compliment I can deliver.

Overall pretty much the quintessential Venice experience: pay through the nose for [anything, everything] that is deficient and/or bizarre in some respect. Yay Venice!

It is rowdy in the manner of a college town bar with $1 happy hour drafts. That would be fine were the food OK, which it is not. Very mediocre and very marked up fish (two thirds of the special rolls start at $19! Fuck off!). The portions are really measly too. The salmon looked sickly and tasted bland. The meal had here for $100 could be had at En Sushi in West LA for a few dollars less and double the satisfaction. Once and done.

The customer service here is so excellent. It is a pleasure to shop here. I had trouble with a product I bought here and had owned past the date for return eligibility. Very big trouble. The store was extraordinarily accommodating and took it back with little ado, issued a refund, and earned loyalty in the process.

A refreshingly pleasant store. Well-stocked and the staff all go out of their way to offer assistance, and the help offered is always informed, cheerful and competent. A very obviously well-managed location. I enjoy shopping here, esp. as a person that finds numerous HD's in LA County abrasive, obnoxious and slightly dehumanizing places to have to pass through.

Absolutely great meal here at a bargain price. I'm glad R&G Lounge had a long wait, thereby forcing my party to locate this establishment sooner rather than later. The hot and sour soup is at the top of its form, the sizzling hunan bean curd with shredded pork was a real treat as well.

Reservations are not honored within a reasonable time frame. Was left standing around for more than thirty minutes. Nonsense.

The pasta with lamb ragu: the pasta was undercooked, raw flour could be tasted, eek! and the sauce was sugary and amateurish. And not hot, just warm.

Re the way things are plated -  dots of aioli and balsamic reduction swirled around the plate. . . ?  - what is this, 1999?

There were enough off notes to strike this off the "give it a try some other time" list. Which is too bad because the dining room at prime time on a Saturday has a pleasing enough vibe.

Expectations were up there for this place. The fried chicken was forgettable. The fried green tomatoes tasted too much like the chicken (and vice versa), some cross contamination issues in the fryer afoot? The tagliatelle was a tad bizarre--too much congestion--the unctuous fried egg, the lemony sauce, some random prawns thrown in, rabe, and bacon? It seemed like a misguided gourmet-esque adventure a home chef might concoct after too much drink. Still not sure what compelled me to order it.

The only radiant item at the table was the sunchoke and smoked mussel chowder. Now this was inventive and memorable.

Overall, too many hacky dishes, it seemed.

The beef shawarma sandwich is amazing, of a very high quality and drenched in hot sauce and other appetizing complements to a pleasant degree. It is also massive--like 16 inches long! I am a bit smitten with this item at the moment.

LOVE. Excellent plates: ceviche limon, jalea, chicharones de pollo, and short rib. The profiteroles were outstanding and caught us off-guard. Lively atmosphere. The only quibble is that the tables (I noticed others in addition to myself struggling with this) are cheap, wobbly and not attached to bases but rather spin like records! Cheesy! Get better tables, Limon! But the food was so awesome that I can't possibly hold it against. I'd eat out of my lap in the toilet stall for food this good.

Impatient (with annoying hair) and slightly impulsive (i.e., under the influence of happy hour and from out of town) I walked in here on faith. I was not sure precisely what I wanted done; Dmitri proposed some adjustments that sounded promising. I walked out quite pleased with the result, which added structure without making my short style too hip or severe. He opened up a side of my face that was floundering in the hair equivalent of weeds and overgrowth. His skill and vision, in my experience, is to be recommended. I would return happily!
