The service was adequate, courteous but a bit slow probably because of how crowded it was but im sure it is faster at other times.
Everyone seemed to like thier food and we ordered 3 different cheesecakes. I dont remember the names of them but i liked the chocolate one most.... im not a fan of a million flavors so i probably would have enjoyed just a regular one most. But of course we didnt get that one. haha

I couldnt finish all of it naturally, instead i left in the fridge for 2 hours, thought about taking it home, then threw it in the microwave and devoured the rest!! It was the most full i've ever been in years... I'm not coming back for a WHILE though. This is by far the most unhealthy thing i ate ever. I couldnt resist eating all that fat... it was so soft. haha

1.French Style Filet Mignon
2.Frog Legs somethingfriedAWESOME!
3.Yang Chow Fried FAIL....
haha i must say i already knew the yang chow wasnt gonna be good, i didnt order it so i cant complain. But everything else was GREAT! The filet was extremely tender and the frog was very tasty too! Perfectly seasoned.. Very solid restaurant with a very wide selection! Come try, you wont be dissapointed =]
oh be careful though, some items (like the frog) is quite costly... 15 BUCKS! it wasnt even that big of a portion :( haha oh well it was BOMB
Yeah... Hahaha I was honestly full after 3 bites cuz it was my breakfast and it was already 2pm! but i still finished the whole thing.. lol The chicken was delectable, still crispy under the slightly sour and spicy cream... EXTREMELY moist as well! I thought the pupusa and tortillas were okay but it was kinda dry? dont know if this is how it should be or not. I agree the service could have been better but honestly the food more than makes up for it. I will come back soon to try the bistec and also the pollo con arroz y queso or whatever the real name is.. haha YUMMMMMMMY!

Tajima Japanese Restaurant

Neighborhood: Kearny Mesa
Food came out promtly and i didn't care what came out... i just downed it. One thing i noticed, some people probably wouldn't mind but they take away the plates alot.. I mean taking some of the less-useful ones is alright but at the end of dinner they cleared out just about everything besides the drinks. I'm sorry tajima, you've caught be on a bad day, maybe you can redeem yourself next time im down there :D
After i got all situated and kinda comfy I looked around on the Menu. I wanted to try the stir fry rice with pork, chicken, and shrimps but opted the "Old-School lunch box" or whatevers.. haha they came with some veggies and eggs (YAY EGGSSSS) and i got the one with 2 sides. "Railroad style Pork Chops" (Wtf is that?) and Taiwanese Style Sausage. Overall i think it was pretty good but for 8 bucks i think i'd rather have something more exotic like at Banana Bay, this is more like comfort food.
The waiter didn't speak english very well and i'm not Taiwanese so it was quite a struggle to order our stuff! we had to point to what we wanted on the menu and i wanted to see if he could reccomend a milk tea to me... Not gonna work =[ i ended up getting the 302 Milk Tea which was good but i was trying to avoid black tea... Oh well. My cousin tried ordering a Shabu Shabu entree but the guy said they ran out? After talking to another waitress/cashier luckily it was sorted out. Oh he also said there was no mango left when we asked for a mango smoothie but everyone with shaved ice had mangoes on it??!
FINALLY the deal breaker that made my 3 stars a 4?? SHAVED POWDERY HEAVEN! OMFG.., I was genuinely fooled for a good 5 minutes that i was eating ice cream until my cousin pointed out that it was indeed shaved ice... I've never experienced this before... Extremely finely shaven ice down to a smooth velvety finish perfectly blended with sweetened milk (i think) topped with delicious gobs of condensed milk, syrup, both ripe and unripened mangoes, (which was REALLY good! Not sure if they intended that) and sour strawberries. I'm glad not all the fruits were ripe because the sourness offset all the sugary goodness and added more depth to the dessert... It almost makes me want to give this place a 5 but that darn waiter killed it for me... haha
So anyways, in the future i'd come back for the delicious drinks and shaved ice but the food isn't something i cared for too much, maybe if i were REALLY in the mood for it but otherwise i'd probably go elsewhere. And yes, if you dont speak their language you might have slight issues, and they only take cash!! We had to economize because we didnt know so dont make our same mistake and bring lots of cash!
I thought it tasted quite good and both my food and my friends came out extremely quickly (maybe indicating it was pre-made). Looking at the menu i thought the prices were kinda high but considering how gigantic the portions were, they werent bad at all. I also liked my drink alot! I like ordering Soda Chanh all the time (club soda and freshly squeezed lime with sugar) and this place had the biggest glass of it i've ever had! Personally i'd give it a 4 1/2 but im just going to step it down since i didnt even have pho and it made me sick! haha bon appetit! =]

You know the one in those paris by night videos?" haha his reply was "Yeah thats me! I'm Henry Chuc." I friggin screamed and went ballistic! I tried to get a pic with him on my phone but he wouldnt let me =[ instead, he took one w/ his digicam and said he'd email me the pix!! TOO COOL T_T i need to ask him now if i can be his backup singer. haha as you can tell i had lots of fun & will prolly be back again.
