Great place for a fresh sandwich at a very reasonable price. Each day they offer a Special that includes a sandwich, side salad and an iced tea for $6.99. I have had the Greek Tuna, Chicken Club and the Sicilian Tuna sandwiches. The service is quick, the restaurant is very clean and the quality of ingredients are very fresh. They also offer Breakfast items and a wide variety of salads and sandwiches.

I love Houston's and this location more than any other I have ever visited. They do a better than average business so the food elements are the freshest and the quakity is kept high. The aroma of the grill can be enjoyed long before you enter their doors. Staff is very attentive and friendly. It is my home away from home.

The salads remain on the menu, however, the sandwiches available are paninis. I had a Caprese Panini and it was good. Naturally, there is about a 10 minute wait for the hating of the sandwich.
Just opened up within the last few weeks after a long construction period. It was well worth the wait! The entrance is just to the left of the Stars Theatre entrance.
While they have coffees and pastries that look excellent, my experiences have been with the lunch time sandwiches. The menu offers variations on sandwiches that border on gourmet. I had the Turkey and Apricot, with Cream Cheese, Red Onions (light) and slivered almonds on a large croissant. It came with an iced tea for only $5.99. It was delicious! I have also tried the Turkey, Brie and Green Apple sandwich and it was almost as delicious as the Turkey and Apricot. Panini grilled sandwiches are also available and the selection today was a Roast Beef or a Grilled Veggie panini.
A great new alternative for a quick breakfast or lunch in Glendale. They are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and have six - eight tables outside on the sidewalk for seating, but the location is great for take-out for me.
UPDATE: 4/19/10 - They just started also offering a variety of gourmet salads today, making my lunch selection more difficult - but delicious!

As I was returning to the Office, I saw the Truck parked in front of our building. Lots of people waiting to order/pick up. I took that as a good sign. I went up to the office and put my computer, etc. down and I headed back down the elevator to the street level. I was only the second person in line to order, while 20 hungry diners awaited their order. I ordered the Pastrami Sandwich ("Fan Favorite"), with Provolone Cheese, Fresh Cut Fries, Italian Coleslaw and Tomatoes. The Italian bread was not toasted, but was very fresh. Now know why "Meet" is spelled that way in the Truck name. The French Fries were part of the sandwich. The sandwich was very good and the Fries (I pulled many out of the sandwich) were great! Prices are $5 for a half sandwich and $8 for a whole sandwich, for $2 more you also get a side of fries and a drink. Can't go wrong!

John hasn't made any lists yet.
