I in all the years of wearing MAC, did not know I could get these cosmetics discounted. Finding this store was a  happenstance. I was just trying to kill some time while others were shopping at a neighboring store. I wasn't expecting much.

I lucked out on some cool items. A few colors from past seasons. Since I had just dropped $100 on full price MAC at Nordy's I did not go too crazy. I would make a trip back up to Vacaville or any other outlet just to check out this store.

Yes there are other brands in the Estee Lauder family, but I don't wear those. :)

I really had high hopes for this dinner. It has been awhile since I had Indian food. I was looking forward to it.  I had eaten here before but a few years ago.  What a waste of $100.00 on a New Year's dinner.

The food was bland and unsalted. The Prawn Vindaloo wasn't spicy. The Chicken Korma dish was off as well as the Saag Paneer.  We had all had these dishes before and we were trying to re-live our memories of good Indian food we had consumed in the past.  My party was left  sadly disappointed.

The coup de grace of my Indian Oven experience was the service. The waiter was nervous, inexperienced, or clumsy, maybe all three but he managed to launch a bottle of Taj Mahal beer and break a pint glass. The beer and glass landed on my friend. Beer and glass everywhere. They did not comp us a dam thing. That is just rude. I will never ever go back here.

This theatre needs an update stat. We had balcony seats and there is no elevator. So if you are a senior citizen or mobility challenged you are out-of-luck.  They need some new paint, new seats... C'mon with all of the Broadway plays that come here and the exorbitant prices for seats, kick some revenue toward some much needed renovation.  It is an old theater that has been around since 1922 that needs preservation.

Thank You Show Dogs for being the directly across the street from the Golden Gate Theatre. Your establishment provided much needed nourishment to a pack of hungry children before the performance. I am thankful that you offer variety to your menu and it is not just hot dogs or sausages. I enjoyed my fried-chicken sandwich and barbeque seasoned fries and half-pint of Mothership beer. I think I would even venture to eat there again even if I am not attending a performance.

I only frequent this location if my regular spot is closed or crowded. It can be very busy here and the service is less than.

When I am in this bar, I find my eyes darting around catching glimpses of strange southwestern skulls or bones...  twisted ropes, wood sculptures. Cool fireplace.. The wood church pew seating was alittle hard on the arse so we had to leave. The drinks were good too. I did not want to leave. I was enjoying the music. My rear was not enjoying the seats.

Glad to find a consistent slice of pizza that I have eaten at other S.F. Escape From NY spots. The seating is a bit tight.

I would come back for the bars low lit decor and interesting art work on the walls. Even though most people come for the wine, I found the beer selection memorable.
I love Anchor Steam Old Foghorn Barleywine and like it when I find it on a menu.

Great friendly welcoming crowd and staff. I was loving the array and choice of beers to choose from.  This was an excellent stop on a pub crawl on Polk Street.

I finally made it to Encore. Being the Karaoke Queen that I am, this may amaze many.  I have to say I like this place. I was impressed with the abundant song selection and the numbered organization of songs in the books. You can choose by song title or artist. I think many places could aid singers by organizing songs by genre (i.e. Rock, Country, R&B... etc)

The sound system is very good. You want to be able to hear your voice and the song clearly not muffled or tinny sounds.  The layout of the bar lounge helps. Having the KJ booth and speakers playing behind you as you sing aids the acoustics.  The dance floor is behind also so background singers and dancers have enough room to get down.

The layout and amount of monitors to read the lyrics rocks also. There is one screen on the microphone stand. Two TV screens to the right and one to the left. A singer can sufficiently dance rock out and do some turns and still catch the lyrics.

I liked the layout of the place and the old school lounge chairs and tables. Now the Restroom was alittle rank in smell and there was no beer on tap but other than that no complaints.  I can't wait to go back.
