Well I liked it. I am definitely not a thai food expert so I ordered Pad Thai, Volcano Beef and some chicken wings. My wife didn't like it, but she doesn't like Thai really. It was all pretty good. I tell you what though, i was not in the mood to shell out 40 bucks for a couple things of takeout food. That is why it is not 4 stars. Food wise, it tasted pretty good, but it seemed spendy for a thai food place in a safeway parking lot. Anyway, i will probably go back. Not bad.

I found him on the corner of Hollis and Standford on the little brick path. There were lots of people ordering stuff, but it was still pretty fast. I had the grilled cheese and a duck taco. Both were very good. I don't mean lunch truck good. I mean they were nicely prepared, fresh ingredients. Like the duck tacos had pomegranite seeds in there and the grilled cheese was a little fancy also. If you see him around and have room in your gut, hit him up.
A-OK. I was pretty happy with my meal, but i am easy to please. I was just happy to be out of the house for the night. But i guess realistically it was only ok. I had the special, which was a seafood fetecini. It was decent i thought, but now that i think about it I think it was over 20 bucks. My wifes salad was Crab louie and was 20 bucks also. She said the salad was just ok and the clam chowder was bland. They said my meal was enough for 2 but i sucked it down with room for more.
All the waiters are local kids which is fine with me. Our server was actually very nice. I heard some kids talking about "good bread" and normal bread. I guess if you ask for it you can get bread that is better than what they give the tourists.
I will give this place another shot for sure. It definately was not that bad. in fact if it wasn't so expensive it would have 4 stars easily.

It was pretty good. I went in there around 6:30 and it was empty on monday night. I ordered Beef chow mein, crab meat puffs and hot and sour soup. They only have 1 size of soup. I had also read the good reviews so maybe my mediocre review is because i had high hopes.
Chow mein was pretty good. I ate almost the whole thing. Good flavor. Noodles were pretty good.
Hot and sour soup was unusual at first. I couldn't tell if it was bad or good. It was a little different than normal hot and sour but still in the end i decided i really liked it.
Now. The crab meat puff. This was different. Someone else order them. If i die i hope someone reads this. But the won ton around the crab meat puff seemed very stale. Like uh.. thick pastery shell. I don't know. Don't get me wrong. I ate the whole thing. But im not sure that is good.
In the end i will probably be back.

Everything i had there was great. We had a reservation and were seated right away even though we were early. The waiter was very informative and quick. I had the Halibut which was really amazing. It had cilantro and these little biscuits. I tried the steak which was perfect and a couple of the appetizers. All good. The only thing i was questioning was the gespacho, but i don't really have a taste for cold soup. I don't know how to spell gespacho. I look forward to going back.

The Burrito Shop

Well i was kind of suprised to see all the haters, but this is my first time here and i just got the standard super chicken burrito. The burrito was near perfect for me and they gave me chips and the food came out really fast. I do not taste any cilantro or onions which i think should be a staple in Mexican food, but other than that i was very happy with my meal. Oh and also i am pretty sure that the chips are store bought, but that doesn't phase me. I will eat chips that are made by a robot from outer space. Oh, and another thing. I do NOT have heartburn, which is rare when eating Mexican food for me. That should say something. I'm not sure what it says, but it says something.

Pretty Lady

well i was suprized to see so many good reviews because of the location, but i have to agree. Fries were great. Cheeseburger has fresh vegetables and tasted very good. Service was fast and friendly. That is a little bit of a rough neighborhood and the pretty lady is helping class it up. Go in there and eat, support local business and help fix up west oakland.
I went here when i was fasting because i felt like crap and wanted to sweat out whatever i could. I went with my friend because he was fasting also. I told the counter guy that we were not going to "do it" because i felt funny going into a sauna with another dude. The sauna was exactly what i needed. I think for both of us it was like 20 bucks and well worth it. The sauna was pumping. I noticed some hot tubs also i might try later. I'm just glad that stuff like this is available.

Best Mexican food in this area. Plus service is fast. Customer service is good. Price is reasonable and they have a back patio if you want to eat outside. I would recommend this place to anyone. If you go to McDonalds across the street instead of here, shame on you. The salsa is good. They are under new management and it seems to be working
It was great. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, service great. I only have 1 complaint really and that was that the front grass area furniture was plastic. This might sound petty, but eating in the front of this old victorian house in the shade on a perfect day is so great that it's a shame to have wobbly plastic furniture as the only place to sit. SOme old guy walked by and saw us sitting there having lunch and drinks and said "this just looked wonderful". who the hell walks by and says that? It was so god damn nice that some people walking by even stopped and told us they wished they were sitting in our place. My seat. In the plastic chair.
