One of those places that's so good that I don't want to even talk about it. Cocktails are the kind you would find at thirtyninehotel or Lewer's lounge. The atmosphere is a very upscale sort of sports viewing lounge.
There is an adorable little smoking courtyard just outside that you can take your drinks and even watch another tv.
Parking is easy and cheap.
Breakfast is available.
Not sure what more this place needs (definitely not a zillion people finding out the secret tho!)

One of the best new galleries in Honolulu. Built by one of the most well-connected global curators in contemporary/street art this city has seen in a long time, and there's already a calendar full of huge names well in to 2012.
The parking situation needs to improve in Kakaako and the surrounding areas, but this is definitely going to be one of the matriarchs of the new neighborhood.

Best place for a safety check this side of the mountains. Love Hiram and his staff love this place see you next year.
One of the women working here is a power tripper that is mean on purpose because I think it brightens an otherwise boring and redundant day at the office, but this is by far the fastest and most efficient Satellite City Hall on Oahu. I know. I've owned (count em) 6 cars in Hawaii.

First Sundays at Trump are amazing on the 6th floor Diamond Head side. Nice patio with couches that soak up your hangover and a huge selection of food and action stations and even some mimosas included for like $37. DJs play music and sometimes people dance, mostly we just sit and chill with drinks and it's pretty much the only way to recover from a First Friday. Hip brunch! Hip brunch!

Only missing a star because I have yet to be able to order the apple fritters (they are always out), but their secret hand made Bloody Mary Mix solves EVERYTHING! It tastes like they muddled fresh celery and tomatoes with like angel wings or something. Sunday brunch goes all the way until 10pm and the chicken and waffles are only available then. SO ono.

Monthly Sunday brunches are a must! Amazing music, Taittinger champagne half bottles for only $45 and food that's so beautiful to look at I almost don't want to eat it. Reservations are a must, especially if you want the outside couch. (Trust me you want the outside couch) (Hey, don't hog my outside couch).

Hawaii's best kept secret in terms of Farmer's Markets as far as I'm concerned. Saturdays 9am-1:00pm. Great products and never a crowd. Actually, forget I even said anything. Never mind.
This was a Saturday night stop on my trip to SF from Honolulu and gat DAMN this city knows what's up. After a few stops at other gallery/bar/galleries Space Gallery was seriously a diamond in the rough.
The cocktails are fantastic, I love how bars are embracing this whole cocktail culture. I also love how they have their featured champagne cocktails and other specialty cocktails via vinyl stuck right on the wall, how you usually see the name of a show/artist/artist's statement. Very cool. The bartender was a delight. No snobbery for this out of towner. I'm stoked on this place and will be back the next time I'm in SF.

The cocktails are fantastic, order from the menu.
The place is a great alternative to JJ's or Du Vin if you're looking for a more casual place to grab a drink in the "fancier" area of Bethel St. before a show or even after a show.
Can't wait to try the sushi.
