A few days ago, I want to my 1st bar in jackson hole and the night was pretty decent. The place is right in middle of town and to my surprise the place was pack of people and we barely we move around. There were alot of young people mixing and mingling. The only bad part was they were playing country music and guess everyone here love it LOL
The bar drinks were pretty decent because it only cost $4 for a importer beer such as Stella. At the end of the night everyone was hopping in our car and even stranger were going in our car. It was hectic and my neighbor kick one of the stranger out because he didn't know where he live at, I felt bad but it was either him or me LOL
Good times

Yesterday I flew into jackson hole and someone at the hotel pick me up from the airport in a BMW suv and show me around town and evenually took me back to the Amangani resort to meet Executive Chef Rick. The hotel was very nice and upscale. I saw alot of pic's in the internet but it didn't do any justice. Everyone there were very nice and busy because of a charity fund rising that night. Chef Rick show me around the kitchen and the hotel and it was like a maze to me. All of the food that I saw they making look gorgerous and everyone is very professional. They have like 100 employee for a 41 suite resort and the room ranges from $600-$3000 a night and depending on the season too. I will update this once I start working on Monday morning.

IF anyone every wonder what Vietnamese bar food is like then this is the perfect place to go and try everything that they don't show u at normal Vietnamese restaurant. The menu is very basic but the food that they have is very unique. They have eel, goat, deer, frog, snail and anything they can get their handle on. Vietnamese guys love eating unique meats and the more exotic it is then the more they would want to try it. Normally old viet guys would sit w.their friends and order all of these dishes while a young waitress w.sit at their table. Yes I know what you are thinking and I can;t give you a answer because it all depending on the place LOL
One of my favorite dish that they have is a goat stew and you eat it w/veggie and noodle. The goat meats is very tender and sweet. Also their is a duch blood dish w.pork on top. It is delicious but just get thru the idea of getting blood. BE open minded and you will love the food.

After hearing about this place thur my cousin, me and friends want their for a late lunch. The place is very roomy and clean. I was alittle afraid to go because I didn't have any of my korean friend to go w.me but the korean waitress was so nice to us. The restaurant is known for their live food such as live octopus, abalone, fish and shrimp. I order the octopus and when the plate came to our table, the octopus legs was still moving even thou it was cut off. The legs was sucking on everything from the dish, chopstick and even our mouth. I love this dish and it was just fun to eat something new and different. The next plate I try was the sea urchin and when the dish came out, the sea urchin was in their shell and it was moving. There were just the right amount of rice and fish eggs. We all love this dish and we keep drinking OB(korean beer) and taking sake shots. We had a fewmore dishes but it wasn't that impress. I would totally want to go back w.any of my friends who like trying these things. Next time I am going order everything live that they have,. This is a must try place for anyone DARING and ADVENTOUS!!

I finally try the new location and I am so glad that I did because I don't think I will go back to the original one next door. The new place is much bigger and alot nicer. The dumplings is pretty much the same but why not eat in a more roomer restaurant? I order the juicy pork dumpling's, crab, veggie and the minced pork noodle. After staring at the table next to us, I order the tofu w.glass noodle and that was very good. I walk away feeling full and couldn't wait to eat my left over when I get home.

The gem of the place is absolutely delicious!! I alway see t.v about Japanese food and those delicious takoyaki(octopus ball) and alway wanted to eat them. I found a place in irvine but it was gross. Anyway I order the takoyaki, the red bean pastry, and a few other small skewed and I love them all esspecially the takoyaki. Each bite you taste a piece of a octopus and it was very flavorable. I can't wait to go to back to LA in the spring so I can't buy more of them!!!

Walking back to the car my friend told me about their famous cream puff and how they fill it when you order it so that sound very interesting so we order one and they fill it up right in front of your eyes. The price was $1.75 for one, a little expensive but after I came home and ate it. I know why it cost so much, it was very delicious and i don't like dessert. I am a fan and now i want more!!

I been hearding about this place forever but never made any time to go taste it but after leaving for culinary school back east, my craving for asian food just want haywire when I came back to visit. I ate everything that I could get a hold of and I made a effort to drive up to little tokyo in LA just to try this place out. There were closer location in monteray park and one in costa mesa but I decided let try the place w.the most review. The place is very easy to found but parking is a nightmare. The place itself is very cozy and pretty pack w/people coming in and out. There is even a noodle bar and waiting is the norm. I order the ramein w/juicy pork, bamboo shoot, onion and a egg. The texture of the noodle was very good and the soup base was very flavorable but the downside was the broth was alittle cold. The waitress wasn't really nice but maybe it because of the communication. My friend order the shrimp and vegetable bowl and they add the ponzu sauce in so the tempura was very soggy. I also order the salmon eggs bowl and that was very good. So many tasty eggs. Overall I thought the meal was good but not the best ramein I ate so alittle disappointed.

Last weekend when I was flying back to LA and I had to make a connecting flight to newark airport for the 1st time and to my surprise the airport was pretty nice w.all kind of high end store such as Hugo Boss and I walk by this wine store and remember last week when I was reading one of the food magazine article on the top restaurant in airport anyway I had to stop by just to experience it for myself. The place look very chic. First I order a flight of the pinot noir and it was pretty dam good for a airport setting. Later I met a nice lady there that miss her flight home because she was in the wine store too long. Anyway she was drinking champagne and then I thought, dam I wanted some champagne so i order a few glass and started to chat w.her about anything that buzz people talk about when they drink LOL
She order a few plates and it look delicious and I thought to myself. I was so stupid for ordering the Chicago Uno pizza before seeing this. Anyway more people came and started talking about wine and we just had a great time sitting at the bar and drinking on thanksgiving day. Finally I look down on my cell phone and realize I better start going or i will miss my flight and drink more at this wine bar. Anyway I left really quick and started running to the gate and saw no ones at my gate and I though oh boy, i miss my flight and when i got to the gate the worker say I was just about to close the door so I barely made it and somehow another person came behind me asking who is John Nguyen and I saw it is me anyway guess I left the Vino Wine bar so fast that I forgot to take my debit card LOL The food and the wine was very good. I have to say this place made my thanksgiving

BBQ Chicken

I use to work down the street from BBQ chicken and wonder how korean chicken taste like but never really eat it because i thought it was too fatting for my wist line(yes i am a bitch LOL). Last weekend we had a party and someone brought a whole box of it and it was the hit of the party. It was way more crisper then any american chicken places(popeye's, KFC, etc). The taste was more original too and there tons of new flavor to try. The one that my friend got was good but the only thing i can found fault was it was alittle too sweet for my taste but everything else was good. I hear been in the store but everyone at the party told me that the people who work there is alittle rude but guess everyone has to found out for themselves.
