When I was a Seattle newbie, I went through hairstylists like the Kool-aid Man. Each hairstyle and color job: busted.
That is until I met Richard at Coupe Rokei. Holy serendipity, Batman! I finally found a truly quality hairstylist who can cut to perfection. And he treats my color like a mad scientist--which is important when you're a non-natural blonde. Like, platinum blonde.
But don't fret, my little brunettes. The last appointment I had with him I went from white hot blonde to yummy chocolate brown in one fell swoop of his brush. I was nervous that making such a drastic change might result in the color of, well, #2. But I'll never doubt again--it is vibrant, rich and healthy like the flowing mane of Jesus.
Also, Richard kind of looks like Jesus. A non-judgmental 1970's Jesus. Which only adds to the comforting, cozy feeling you'll get sitting in his chair.
So if you are new to Seattle, have a case of broke down hair, or just need a change I recommend Richard. I give him the proverbial 5 stars and a blue #1 ribbon.
Sadly, I recently moved from Seattle to NYC and one of my major concerns is finding a hairstylist as talented as Richard here in the land of talented hairstylists. He will be a tough act to follow.
But despite geography, Richard Rocha will always be the Richard Gere to my Pretty Woman-worthy hair.
