My friend had her birthday dinner here and service seemed to be pretty good. Everyone enjoyed their meals, I think the only complaint was that they took someone's food before they could have it boxed up, but besides that they brought out the birthday cake and did a good job with making the birthday girl feel special I believe, even doing their customary napkin toss all around.

The time I was here before this event I was last Winter, they had the hookah tent setup and the inside of the place was completely empty, but everyone outside was really enjoying themselves and the music playing was some catchy Reggaeton music.

MD Oriental Market

MD Oriental Market has a wide variety of things for sale, the prices are alright and they were located conveniently close to USF during an emergency needing some Japanese candy for a club meeting (they had lots of bags to choose from). I don't have much to say about service or the place, it isn't very special in those aspects, but the selection should speak for one of the reasons why this is worth your time if you are in the area.

Green Iguana Bar & Grill

I went to this Green Iguana for a club party and had an excellent time. The DJ played some great songs, the place could accommodate lots of people inside of it, and the layout of the place was perfect for a good night of partying. There was plenty of parking in the area, which is a hard thing to come by when you go out to party these days. Cover charge was very reasonable. Bartenders were friendly, there was plenty of spots to sit when you got tired of dancing, and the place really was welcoming and fun.

Fushia Asian Bistro

This restaurant has a really diverse menu, you can pretty much have anything you are craving, most of the taste feels home-cooked, you won't get that mall taste here. I would say Yummy House shares properties with the food at this place. Take a few friends and get a table for lunch because there lunch prices are very good, dinner is still reasonable, but you could totally go all out during lunch here. We had a variety of things at our table such as Orange Chicken, Lazy Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Spring Rolls, Miso Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, Tofu dish, and more, it was truly a feast, split between 8 friends we only spent about $10 with plenty of food that we still could not finish between us.

The employees were friendly and service was quick, food came before you knew it. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, with ancient Chinese writing (so says my friend) on the walls and an overall Asian feel to it.

Bento's in Orlando is always raved about by Bento fans. They claim it is tons better than Bento's in Gainesville (which I have had in the past). I'm not sure about the other location in Orlando, but this one was about the same in taste. I ordered their sushi combo which was reasonably priced, but not really a steal either. The sushi was fresh and I really enjoyed the cucumbers they put into it (my friends enjoyed the seaweed salad that came in the bento box as well). The place is located in a really nice plaza and I wasn't disappointed with the service, so I would certainly stop by here again if I am in the area.

Sake House

I want to say that I agree with Jaski, in my last experience at Sake House service was sub-par. The waitress was quick to neglect the table, M.I.A. when I needed things like a refill or a fork for my meal (seriously not everyone knows how to use chopsticks). The waitress almost seemed to give annoyed glances when she would be getting our order. She took forever to bring our check in an almost empty restaurant. We had to get up and walk to the register so we could pay because waiting for her was going to take forever. I almost didn't tip her, but I felt bad because I really liked this place last time...so I left her a small tip and hope the next time I come back won't be like this.

The sushi was still good, but I just had to update my review to reflect this service issue.

My friend (who has also reviewed this place *shoutout to Morena*) and I came here last night for dinner and I never new such a good place was hidden away. I must drive by here everyday on my way to USF since it's right next to it, but in a plaza where it could easily be missed by anyone driving by.

The lighting inside is relaxed, with a more darker inside. The place is decorated nice with some classical Japanese touches to it.

The sushi here was fresh, quick to arrive, and on top of all that it was cheap. Normally you can't put all of those in the same sentence. They have really good lunch and dinner specials and I ordered from their dinner special, ordering a NYC Roll (Yellowtail) and Alaska Roll (Salmon), which were both some of the best I have had in town, with a salad and miso soup for just $10. Along with the usual California Roll, which was great as well, for about $4 I think.

The waitress was friendly and great about refilling drinks and staying on top of her table. I'm just so surprised I have never heard about this place besides from my friend because it is truly a hidden treasure. This is going to become a regular spot for me.

Sushi Tsu Japanese Restaurant

I planned a sushi social here for my Japanese Club at the University of South Florida. They were very friendly about it and reserved our area for us. So many people showed up and the waiters were friendly and quick to cater to people. They sat us around the grills and everyone got up and socialized since this was a sushi social. Most people liked their food, though some people said it wasn't to their liking, I personally liked my California Roll but was so busy walking around and conversing that I did not have the chance to have a bigger meal. The steakhouse has a nice layout and sushi prices are reasonable, grill prices are pretty standard. A nice sushi restaurant and a great place to have a social.

They call it Tallahassee. We call it Talla-nasty.

Graffiti everywhere. Houses and apartment complexes that look like drug addicts should be living in them with regular people living inside. Broken down streets and I can go on and on but basically just know it's Talla-nasty.

International House of Pancakes

Whenever I'm in Gainesville for the weekend I usually bring my friend here for either a late night meal or an early morning breakfast before I head back to Tampa. This IHOP has really quick service and the speed in which food has came out in my times there has been pretty remarkable considering how it's always packed and the same business in Tampa with only my table sitting in it takes over an hour to bring me my meal. The food is on par with other IHOP locations as well.

My friend and I drove up to Tallahassee the day before the Big USF game and finding somewhere to stay was next to impossible, but this place fortunately had some lodging available for us. The service was great, the receptionist was quick to help us get our room and the room was suitable for our use until the game started the next morning. The pricing wasn't that bad either considering all hotels in Tally normally jack up prices around football games.
