Cappy's Cafe

I am writing this review today because I love LOVE love the hot pretzel sticks - not on the menu but I was still able to order them.
Other reasons to love Cappy's:
-outside seating in the summer
-affordable, tasty food
- they don't fry the french fries and they are still really great
-Fridays are usually Cappy-oke Night and the place is packed (IheartPGH is not a kaeroke fan but she appreciates that others are)
Rumor has it that a few east end singles have met their future spouses at Cappy's.
I even like that the ads in the bathroom stalls have not been updated in something like 3 years. And I really like the Pittsburgh and Shadyside cross stitched samplers that hang on the walls, I know it sounds strange, but it just fits in this place.

This is where the delightful little movie "The Bread My Sweet" starring Scott Baio was filmed. The movie was renamed "A Wedding for Bella" when it was released on video.
The biscotti here are awesome because they are fresh and soft, rather than hard and crunchy.

My second favorite food to pretzles is probably rice krispie treats - and they sell those too. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!! I am adding some pictures of fresh pretzels!

I am going to say that this may be the best coffee shop in town.
1. its local
2. great interior decor and lighting
3. good, good food. Usually cafe in Pittsburgh food is blah, blah.
I think I am even overhearing that they are expanding their seating are to include a quite study area - which explains why there is some hammering today. But yeah for quite areas.
I really hope that Make Your Mark helps to raise the bar of other local coffee shops.

Del's is a great local restaurant and was pretty busy for a Monday night - not packed but busy enough to make you forget it was a Monday. This is a family establishment, the food is decent and it is worth a trip for dinner.

1. great hot dogs
2. FRUIT SHAKES!!! It is near impossible to find a smoothie in Pittsburgh - this place blends real fruit into drinks
3. amazing chips that they import from the west coast
4. free wireless
Tim and Megan are great. This is a great local business everyone should add to their lunch schedule.
