Excellent food:  Foie gras was delicious and not too heavy as foie gras is wont to be.  Pomme frittes classic French yummy.  And the pork tenderloin cooked to perfection and full of flavor.

Service impeccable:  Efficient, unobtrusive, genuine and friendly.

Loved it.  Will return.

I liked the intimate, small room with few tables, but my dinner mates did not.

The foods was just okay -- I had the chicken parmesan.  But definitely not good value for what it was.

For a place with very few tables, service was extremely slow  Over 30 minutes from order to delivery.  Ridiculous.

Won't be returning.

Just god awful.  How this has 4 stars as of the writing of this review is a total mystery to me.  You're all mad.  I'm online looking for a different hotel right now.

Pros:  Cheap, free wireless, larger rooms, included light breakfast.

Cons:
- Uncomfortable, sunken beds -- both of the doubles in my room are visibly concave and lopsided.
- Old and dirty -- the blanket and thin comforter look to be 20 years old and look disgusting.
- Horrid decor -- dirty-looking green carpet in the rooms and industrial concrete for walls.
- Spartan amenities -- 1 miniature shampoo bottle and a discount bar of soap.

Post-stay update (more cons):
- Wireless was slow and spotty.
- On the final night of my stay, I received a notice that there'd be no hot water after 8:00 a.m. the next morning (see the photo I've posted).  This changed my plans slightly, requiring me to wake earlier than I had wanted.  I called the front desk to ask for a discount for that night, the attendant told me to talk to the manager in the morning.  Then, in the morning, when I talked to the manager, she was borderline rude and reluctant to give me a discount.  She even asked a couple of somewhat sarcastic questions, basically refusing to believe I'd experienced any convenience.  She finally gave me a discount.

Avoid this place if you can.

I had an odd service experience here that detracted from an otherwise very good meal.

Fish:  Omakase outstanding.  The variety of the fish was greater than I've ever seen.  Several types and preparations of eel for example.  A number of tunas I hadn't tried.  Other imported fish I hadn't tried.  All in perfect bite sizes.  The quality of fish was excellent, at least on par with and in some cases better than other sushi I've ever tried.  And I consider myself quite the sushi snob.  Slightly unusual -- and I'm not sure this is common for all the chefs at Yasuda -- is that soy sauce was applied with a brush to the top of each piece of nigiri before serving.  I've never seen that sort of preparation but didn't mind it.

Service:  Obtrusive.  I've been eating with chopsticks my entire life.  I've been eating sushi my entire life.  Yet when I first sat down, the sushi chef bossily directed me how to hold chopsticks and the proper way to pick up sushi with them.  He did this with every patron sitting in front of his station, but I didn't see any other sushi chef at the bar do this.  I found it very objectionable.  If that wasn't enough, throughout the meal he bragged about the uniqueness of the fish and preparation and prattled almost constantly about why his fish was different and special.  Now I appreciate pride in work, but I prefer more demure service from a sushi chef, that they engage only when engaged.

In contrast to the chef, the wait service was very, very good.  Attentive, efficient, invisible.

I think I had an aberrational experience with this chef and would have given the restaurant only 3 stars because of it but for the outstanding sushi itself.

Well, I suppose it's the best "restaurant" at JFK.

But it's awful.

First, just about nothing but fried foods and red meat on the menu.

Second, the service was terrible.  I'm here right now.  I see 5 waiters serving no more 10 tables and can't get any attention.  I had a bill dropped, immediately gave a credit card, and the waiter wouldn't pick it up.  Better off with food court down they way.

Very expensive for an airport restaurant.

What is there to add?

I dropped by last night without reservations, was told there was an hour wait, tipped the maitre d', and was seated 10 minutes later.

Luger was awesome!  My first time there, so I took the waiter's recommendation exactly:

- Sliced Tomatoes & Onions with Luger's Own sauce -- Huge beefsteak tomatoes, fresh onions, yum
- Luger's Sizzling Bacon, Extra Thick by the Slice -- I combined these with the tomatoes and onions with Luger sauce
- Steak for Two (porterhouse) -- Liked that the meat was precut
- Creamed spinach
- Luger's Special German Fried Potatoes -- Crispy delicious

At a friend's recommendation, I also tried the Strawberries with Homemade Schlag (Whipped Cream).  And a Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon.

Delicious but I felt sick from overconsumption by the end of the night!!!

Oddly, no one has mentioned any specific pizzas!  My favorite is the Tijuana pizza, which comes with jalapenos, onions, bell peppers and sausage.

Truly fast delivery.

This and Z Pizza are my two go-to delivery places in MV.

Gosh, for me, an amazing meal, sublime environment and impeccable service.

First, I loved the intimacy and serenity of the room.  Just 18 seats in the whole place.  Relatively dark lighting.  Modern decor.  Quiet throughout and yet private.  And at the bar is a lovely view of the owner-chef carefully and thoughtfully preparing each dish.

Second, the wife in this husband-wife operation is the owner-hostess-waitress, and her service was exceedingly cordial and graceful, with detailed descriptions of every dish upon serving.  Impeccable.

Finally, the food was simply creative and fresh and delicious, and I can't wait to return when the menu next changes -- in fact, I just looked and the menu has changed!  Highlights for me from the last menu included a fresh tomato appetizer among a quad of appetizers, the sashimi, a chawan mushi, a fish porridge -- frankly, everything was delectable.

I highly recommend Wakuriya!

Very disappointing overall experience, after I'd heard positive reviews from friends and read positive reviews on Yelp.

The cocktails at the bar were good.

The food, however, was just okay, nothing special.  I recommend against the potatoes with blue cheese, because the blue cheese flavor is overpowering.

And the service was just terrible the night we were there.  Our waiter was inattentive.  We would request drink refills, for example, and could see the waiter chatting it up with other wait staff rather than actually deliver our drinks.  Service was slow, both to clear finished plates and serve new ones.  Our waiter just sucked this night, and we gave him a 5% tip because of it.

Decent Memphis-style baby-back pork ribs, excellent sliders, tasty BBQ beans and greens.  And topped with family-style service in a homey environment.

I'll be back.
