Katsuya

I thought that I wouldn't be a fan of fancy pants sushi restaurants in Hollywood after visiting one years ago and I swore to myself that I would never ever try one again. Well.... I went to Katsuya with my colleagues and being a newbie to the place, my companions ordered for me and they chose plates that I wouldn't have tried if I had gone without them.

They suggested (and I will suggest the same) to try the Katsuya favorites. If you're into the traditional stuff, don't come here. If you're into taste bud adventures, enter with pleasure.

As far as prices, well.. What did you expect? You're having dinner on Hollywood Blvd. It's not going to be something off the dollar menu. It's a bit pricey, but be positive, you're there to try something new or for someone you love...I hope.

I've visited The Stand twice and my 2nd time was much better than my first! I've tried two types of burgers, although both were veggie, I wanted to open the flavors to other styles of burgers that they offer!

Mind you, both times I've had the sweet potato fries and the mac and cheese and both are mediocre. Nothing to genuinely rave about, but the one thing that I will rave about is the draft ROOT beer!

I think that's a notable aspect to a restaurant and this is clearly something to mention!

Who wants to come with me to The Stand?!

From outside, I swore it was a Louis Vuitton store. It was the white  marble against the building with high ceilings and glass doors and gold trimmings that definitely threw me off!

Nonetheless, my girlfriends and I had a great time having a little luncheon here during the summer (I know..late reviewer). Service was great, food was good too.

A few stolen photos and a happy drunken group of ladies. It was great!

Well, I have to say for a small bar and venue, this is by far THE BEST! I had my party there in August on a Friday night and I'm going to have to say it was the best one I've thrown. DJ Steve1nder and DJ EVEREDE were amazing!

Drinks got me good.. I'm serious. GOOD. Everyone had fun.

Chill atmosphere, affordable alcohol, good music. Parking within the neighborhood or public parking nearby for just $3.

Visit WINSTONS if you haven't already.

Fun atmosphere for large parties, but for vegetarians, not a great selection of sausages. Granted, the place is a sausage palace for meat eaters, but they teased me with a veggie selection that I thought would be a mouth watering feast, I expected too much, it was OK.

Fine selection of brew though.

One of our family's favorites! Not only is it a hidden gem, but the staff is just as great as their numerous delicacies.

I'm a fan of their salmon, calamari, salads, and veggie sandwiches, but my family are their meat aficionados!

Always welcome at Buenos Aires Grill for great prices.

After much research and drooling my dear cousin and I went to The Veggie Grill this past weekend and we were quite happy!

I was giggling while reading the reviews that said that the place was decorated like a Pinkberry and then when I got there, I wasn't sure if I should order the tart or green tea. Nonetheless, very casual dining, not so posh, which I like!

As I read through their menu, I went for the Chik'in sandwich, which was SO GOOD! Based off my memory of real chickEN, this was the closest to it, but instead of animals, they're filled with goodness and nutrients that are necessary after consumption.

I wasn't too crazy about their Mac n Cheese. It was decent, but not as delicious as everything else.

Between my cousin and I, I'm the vegetarian and she's the meat eater and she loved it as well.

So, beware Veggie Grill, I'll be back for more!

I think it's odd to crave ice, but I do! I cannot help, but dream about attaining my ice fix daily! The staff is extremely nice and humble about their fine establishment.

Even last night, I had my scoop of ice in 60 degree weather. I'm just THAT cool!

I truly love you, Get Shaved.

If you prefer dealing with salesmen who insult you and your family, all deals and money are welcome.

Don't step foot in here unless you're as arrogant as the salesmen that work there. Let me correct myself, not all of the salesmen that work there are as pretentious as MEL, the one I had dealt with, if you do, please be aware of his rude comments and unnecessary gestures.

Robertson Honda USED to be my family's top choice of dealership, but that was in the 90s..I guess Mel wasn't there yet.

Aroma Cafe's landscaping is my ideal backyard. Their EVERYTHING is what's missing in every restaurant and cafe. So, yes... I am a fan!

I'm a strawberry lemonade aficionado when I want to be and days when I'm there, I definitely am one. Although, it's not on their menu, I ask for lemonade and strawberry syrup and WHOO HOO strawberry goodness in my throat, sparking up the happy dance! It can be too sweet for others, but for me the dance keeps going.

I don't want to talk about their food because I haven't tried all their vegetarian friendly dishes, but the ones I have tried have been good enough for me to give AC 4 stars!

I LOVE the ambiance, the bookstore and the dim lighting at night. Mr. and Mrs. Aroma Cafe, please let me know who sketched the landscape for your warm noshery.
