Looking for Westwood's answer to Freg Segal? Monica's definitely gives Fred a run for his money, with a great management team, stylish employees, and a fantastic selection of women's clothes: Michael Stars, James Perse, Miss Sixty, True Religion, Nanette Lepore, Cosabella, .... I even managed to find something here for my mother for Christmas!

This is a chocolate store from the past. I've spent hours in there, learning about the art of chocolate and sampling some amazing creations. There may be better chocolatiers, and there are certainly cheaper places to get a cocoa fix, but Comparte's is a true Brentwood asset. Oh, and they serve gelato as well. You can't argue with gelato.

Billy Blue Menswear - CLOSED

A few blocks off Union Square, Billyblue is a menswear paradise. Billy, JB (my salesman since the mid-90s), and the whole gang make everyone feel special as they proudly show off the latest Vestimenta suits, Eton shirts, and an ever changing array of amazing ties. I've converted many people, from as far away as Australia, to loyal Billyblue customers. Alas, the store may be closing (as of early 2005). Say it ain't so, Billy!
