Think zero stars or maybe a .001....just for parking.
Just imagine, out for a day of casual shopping - a nice fun afternoon, nothing major, it gets late and you want a quick GOOD meal and the approaching tavern looks as if it could have potential.
THINK AGAIN.
Our never present bartender who could do no more than watch the giant TV hovering overhead finally came by to take our order.
Do beware of servers, bartenders or what-not who do not have the fortitude to WRITE THINGS DOWN.
A single word of advice to servers everywhere - write it down and it gets to the kitchen right. This guy with his eyes in the (tv)sky for his customers GOT IT ALL WRONG.
It is pretty tough to screw up a very basic request - oh yea - unless, you have better things to do - like nothing.
Bad food, terrible service and zero else to offer anyone looking for a dining experience. My advice? STAY AWAY.

Seeking consistency? Decent food and good service? After half a dozen trips to this tavern I can say that they are able to deliver all of these. I've chosen this adorable bar for the warm ambiance, great bartenders, and attentive service. I've gone early and gone late and they can handle it.
Early (6-7 pm) is nice and comfortable, cozy bar area and tons of attention. Bartenders are fun and chatty and can fill you in on the local news if you want. Or banter about just about anything. As the crowd filters in, which it will, especially weekends -- the place gets busy but you will not suffer.
But the chatty bar guys are now working hard so say goodbye. Fun spot and a diverse, interesting crowd.
Fun stop for a casual night out.
Lots of locals and a great place for a sandwich, cocktail and if you're up for some entertainment, the piano gets going later.

This is a chocolate-covered peanut of a shop - but not to be underestimated. All the chocolates are handmade on-site and it is a battle of will power to depart the premises without purchasing one of everything. They are miniature masterpieces. Each resembles a work of art and are absolutely decadent.
Cashews and almonds look as if they are individually draped in blankets of dark chocolate. Turtles so elegant they almost need names to introduce them. Pierre's creates magic with chocolate. Simply the best chocolate in the universe.

First notable to love about this restaurant is its name. It elucidates how to enjoy and appreciate this cozy, elegant bistro. Just Eat! The charm is apparent immediately. Chef owner Marc is masterful at cooking in his open kitchen with the hardwood, charcoal-burning grill.
It's a window into the world of a chef. For front row seats plant yourself at the bar area facing the grill and prepare to be spellbound. Not to mention the enormous array of entertainment and education watching the activity. It's just fun.
The restaurant is next door to the wine and spirits shop so wandering over to get a bottle of red or white wine is easy. It's just uncomplicated!
Also, it's the ideal restaurant to be daring. The tasting menu is divine and the rack of lamb is flawless. As part of their efforts to keep all their customers happy I love that there is the option of the Bistro Menu offered Sunday's thru Thursdays.
Do not even consider leaving without dessert. Whatever you do - save room or take it with you! Go there and Just Eat!

Los Sarapes Mexican Restaurant & Villa Tequila Bar
Category: Mexican
Los Sarapes delivers unquestionable consistency, an unbelievable Margarita, an alluring menu plus the distinction of fantastic service. The bar is lively, bottles of tequila carefully caged along the wall and an attentive owner standing diligently nearby to welcome his guests.
For lighter fare, dine at a high top table in the candlelit bar and share. Get yourself a margarita and start ordering.
A must try are the handmade Chihuahua nachos with chicken and chorizo garnished with black beans and cilantro. Get a small side of guacamole and pico de gallo and you will not be disappointed.
The El Indio Azteca is a perfect segway into the next adventure. A delicious grilled double-decker flour tortilla stuffed with shredded chicken, mild rajas poblanas and melted chihuahua cheese sandwiched between grilled flour tortillas.
Stop here or continue eating will be the only dilemma of this meal. My favorite main dish to share is the Fajita Quesadilla. They call this Especialidades Mexicanas which translates into "Sudden Cravings". Try it once and the truth is you will have sudden cravings for it many times over in the future. Beware!

I stumbled onto their Brooklyn Pizza by accident. It was all sitting there and I was waiting and eyeing it up with the -- what is that? I didn't even know what Brooklyn Pizza was but this stuff is the best.
I've tried on many occasions to NOT eat the entire pizza in one sitting but so far I've failed miserably. Love, love, love the Brooklyn Pizza.
