Sarah took the time to evaluate my skin and gave me suggestions. Since my face was oily and had some acne, she recommended I get a green peel. Yes, they are expensive but well worth it. I ended up getting 3 and noticed a big difference in my skin....less acne scars and an overall smoother complextion. My co-worker also got one and the redness in her face has completley gone away. I have also gotten just regular facials from her and it's amazing how far my skin has come in just a short amount of time!
What I love about Sarah is that she is very educated. She is always updated on the latest product and goes to many trainings. I swear...everytime I see her she is talking about the newest facial mask (which yes, she does use on me!) or product. With all the education she has, she is able to suggest the best product for you and help you to understand your skin just on an overall basis. Not to mention she is very friendly and always has your best interest at heart!
She also has other spa services and is a make-up artist. I always feel so refreshed after seeing sarah....I bet you will too! :-)
I was so happy when I walked in and didn't go into a sensory overload. Sure...you could still smell all the spices...but I didn't instantly start getting a headache. We got seated and the waiter handed us our menus. Hmmm...a little disappointed that they didn't invest in new menus. Ours were falling apart and I believe my friend's had some handwritiing in her's to substitute where the writing had rubbed off maybe? Anyway...you could say I was skeptical.
What we ordered:
-Garlic nan
-samosas
-mango shake
-Frontier chicken
-Sabri Nihari
-Mutter Pareer
All my skepticism went out the window after my first bite. It was good...all if it! The best part was that even though everything had a little spice to it, the mago shake soothed your throat. It really turned out to be a great combination! Everything was full of flavor, warm and delicious. Well....everything except the nan. That was lacking a little flavor...but still tasty.
Overall the food is great and the portions were large. We all took home half our dinner so we could have it for lunch the next day. The place may need a litte scrub-down and some updating...but I guess you are there for the food, not the atmosphere! Oh...and I didn't end up smelling like a spice rack all night :-)

Pros:
- open early, open late
- Just remodeled...looks better, but still needs work
- large store so lots of variety
- Some of the baggers are friendly
Cons:
- bad produce section
- always crowded
- lines are always long
- Could be cleaner (though I have seen much worse)
- Some of the cashiers need to stop talking about their plans for the weekend to the bagger and just scan my stuff so I can get out of there!
- parking lot is a zoo....people walking everywhere...cars not parked in-between the lines...always afraid I am going to hit someone or get into an accident.

Complete Lighting & Supply
Neighborhood: Near West Side
Lights are delivered very fast (sometimes same day!) and sales people are friendly and answer all my crazy questions (I am no electrician!).
They seem to carry many different types of bulbs and usually have what I need in stock. I even ordered the wrong bulb and they exchanged it for me with no problems...even having a driver come and pick up the wrong bulbs for no cost!
Now that's great customer service. Try them out!

I have yet to be disappointed with this place. Especially since they now have dinner for 2 people for $40. You get to chose 2 soups, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 mini-desserts! It's a great deal and they have many options to chose from. I actually branched out from my typical honey chicken and got the mongolian beef the last time I was there. Wow...so tatsy that my mouth is watering as we speak!

First off...their menu has changed. Still has some of the favorites of the old menu (pretzels for appetizer, wraps and burgers, cookie for dessert), but has updated it with new plates as well. These new items look delicious too. I had the Old Town burger and it was excellent. My b/f had the chili-mac and it was surprisingly very good (given most times chili tastes like straight from a can). So our food was great and I can't wait to come back and try one of their new wraps. My old fav wrap was off the menu...but their new ones look like they can become my new fav wrap!
Service was good. Usually we have to wait awhile for the check and for them to check on our drinks...but we had no problems. And it was a friday night around 7:00....still early...but still.
so why no 5 stars? I thought their wine list was way overpriced and it was very hot in there. So much so that I had to strip down to my tank. I could over-see the temp...but no excuse for over-priced wine.
Overall, I will be back....for sure

I needed cheese for a wine and cheese night and both men behind the counter were very friendly and knowledgeable about cheese and what wines would go best with them. I was a cheese buying virgin and had no idea how to purchase cheese. I basically told them I had $20 to spend to get 3 different types of cheese plus bread. They let me try a few different cheeses and explained about the texture, what type of cheese it was and such. They were sooo good...all of them...but I decided on my 3, left with my bread and thinking about the night ahead.
Total damage: $18 for 3 different cheeses AND 2 loaves of fresh bread. Who ever heard of being under budget! I would say each slice of cheese was about a 1/3 of a pound (or about $4 each) and the bread was $2.50 for each loaf.

They take extra care of your feet in the winter b/c who wants to wear flip-flops in 20 degree weather? They put the drying spray on and then wrap your feet in saran wrap. Keeps the polish from smudging and rubbing off on your socks. Feels kinda weird once you start walking...but worth it! They even help you put on your coat!
I got a groupon gift for another nail salon close by to here that I have to use up soon. Wondering if there is anyway they can beat this place. I'll let you know!

I have been going to http://nail.com for over a year now. I don't go anywhere else! It's conveniently located a few blocks off of the brown line Diversey stop, so I usually go right after work. I would recommend making an apointment, but they always find time for walk-ins too.
The place is clean and they have recently updated their decor (still needs some work, but it's much better). The massage chairs are very comfy and they now have a flat screen TV which is nice to watch while getting your manicures.
I have always gotten a great manicure and pedicure there. They are very thorough with your nails in that they take the time to trim your cuticles, file them shapely, give you a great oil and lotion massage and paint the nails carefully. Sometimes, I am in there almost 2 hours (including dry time) for both manicure and pedicure since they make sure it is right. So make sure you have the time, or do what I now do, and get my manicure first so my nails dry while my feet are getting done.
I know they have a special $35 mani/pedi on Wed and it might be on Tues too. Normally it woud be $40 which is average.
I will continue going back b/c it is located right off of public transportation, the people are friendly and they do a great job! Oh, plus they have a card that once you get to a certain amount, you get money off of their services...can't beat that!

My sandwich was called the Torta de Polla and it was very tasty. Chicken wasn't dry and the onion bun gave it a good flavor. The price was right too...food, tax and tip was $10.
My friend on the other hand didn't like her food. She ordered the enchiladas and said they were dry and tasteless. But, the waitress gave her the meal and her glass of wine complimentary. Now that is customer service.
I will be back and my friend said she would give them a 2nd chance as well. Staff was very friendly and I like my meal! Oh and the decor is really nice too. Very clean and fresh looking with an old world twist.

We then sat down to our dinner which was already a pre-fixed menu. I was slightly disappointed that we couldn't chose exactly what we wanted ( I don't know if this is how MK usually operates private dinners or this is what my host wanted). The menu included gnocchi, ceasar salad, choice between salmon, chicken or steak and lobster, and for dessert vailla and chocolate creme brulee. The food was delicious and the portions were perfect. Not too big, but just enough to feel full without over-doing it. I ordered the steak and lobster and the steak was wonderful. I have tried many steaks which were too salty...but this was not the case. I also had some of the chicken and it was very moist and flavorful. The desserts were heaven...especially the chocoloate....YUM!
The wait staff was great and attentive. We never had to wait more than 5 min for a drink and they were always re-filling glasses. Kudos to them.
So why not 5 stars? Well...i thought for being such an upscale restaurant that the chairs/tables we were sitiing at were cheap. You could tell they were metal chairs with cloth covers over top. I thought they would have a little more cushion and maybe be wood. Also, no flowers or anything decorative on the tables. I was just very underwhelmed with the atmosphere. The main dining room had more going for it than our private room.
Overall, everyone had a great time!
