I attended a surprise birthday party held at Seasons 52 last night.  As this was my first time in the restaurant, I have to say that I was very impressed with their party room.  There was room to mingle and we sat comfortably at tables of 8.  There had to be about 60 of us.  Guest were given a printed party menu.  I had the seared scallops and they were out of this world.  So many times I've ordered scallops that tasted rubbery but these scallops were cooked to perfection.  The wait staff were pleasant and attentive.  After my first taste of the scallops, I had already decided that my husband and I would come back again for dinner.  Thanks to my hosts and Seasons 52 for a wonderful evening.

Tony's C Place is the best place in Naples to find an authentic Chicago style Italian beef sandwich.  As an ex Chicagoan, I will say that Tony's has the best Chicago style beef sandwich I have tasted in Naples.  The owner, Tony, comes from Melrose Park IL.  His place has a sit down eating area, deli, bread and bakery counters and store goods.  You can even buy containers of beef to take home with you to heat up!  My husband who could eat Chicago style Italian beef sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, and dinner has fallen in love with Tony's too.  If you are a transplanted or visiting Chicagoan, you won't be disappointed with Tony's C Place.

We were there late June with a party of 8.  The place was not busy but the service was terrible. Our waiter had an attitude that was deplorable.  Maybe we spoiled his plans for leaving early that evening?  When the food was served, the waiter had "forgot" my order.  I did not received my order until the rest of my party had already eaten.  I will say that our dinners were good.  I DID bring up this issue with the manager of the place  the manager did comp my meal to try to make things right.  My advice to this Sheffields is to give your wait staff some more training.

Every time my husband and I have been to Remy's the food has been great. The specials that I have tried have always been wonderful.  Paula is an excellent server and we have enjoyed meals and wines she has suggested.  I have also brought clients here for dinner because of the food and the fact that you can have a conversation without raising your voice.  Try Remy's you will not be disappointed.

This restaurant opened recently at The Mercado on Vanderbilt and 41.  It is to the South of Whole Foods and is kind of behind Capital Grill.  I write this because it could be easy to drive by the place.

I had a snapper dish served over a cheese risoto that was to die for!  Our waiter seemed a bit pretensious and disappeared for a while but other than that, everyone enjoyed their meals.  This is a great place to take clients for dinner.  They have vallet parking.  You can go on line at http://www.mccormickan... to view their menus and make on line reservations.

FYI - They have a happy hour that runs from 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM Monday - Friday with low priced bar food.  I had a chicken salad that was wrapped in a flat bread for $1.95.  It was great with lots of chicken, grapes, walnuts and lettcue.  You could make a meal of that sandwich.  My brother and I arrived around 3:55 PM and the outside seating was already filled, so we sat at the high top tables near the open door.  If you want to sit outside for the happy hour, you'd better arrive early!

Norb has helped me several times with repair and remodeling work that needed to be done on my listings. One of the homes had been re-mediated for mold and had the cabinets under the sinks removed, drywall and crown molding taken down and needed additional repair work. Norb oversaw every aspect of the repair work and had everything taken care of in a timely manner.

One of our neighbors who has a unit with the same floor plan we do, had their kitchen redone by Willowood. When my husband and I saw the job Willowood had done for our neighbors, we called them in for an estimate. The minute we met with Ray, I knew we had found our contractor, he had ideas that no other contractor had suggested to us. Every other contractor we had come in just wanted to sell us new cabinets in the same foot print of what we already had. We wanted to open up our kitchen to our living area.

Willowood remodeled our kitchen and I could not be happier! Ray and Dorrie come up with some great suggestions for the remodeling that I use everyday. The solution of a kitchen garbage can mounted to the cabinet door under the sink was a super idea. Ray cut out a section of wall close to my stove where he inset a spice rack I can not tell you how much I love having my spices within easy reach of where I am cooking.

We took out a pantry to open our kitchen to our living area, put in new cabinets and hardware, counter top, sink, faucet, garbage disposal Ray and Dorrie oversaw every step of the remodel, SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, and made sure everything was done correctly. What more could you ask for?

When you go, order the antipasto appetizer.  The grilled zucchini on the plate is wonderful!  I had a seafood pasta dish that was great.  My brother, along with a friend at our table had the pork chop special.  Pat didn't think his chop was cooked enough but our friend thought his chop was superb.   Our waitress, Anastasia was attentive and pleasant.  I LOVED the fact that we could make on line reservations and preview their menu on line at http://www.NaplesTomat...
