I saw this nail salon on Peachtree and decided to go in. The decor is very nice and the staff was friendly. My first time there was an okay visit; I opted for a natural nail french manicure with no pink topcoat. I was a little peeved that the lady cut my cuticles too deep and made me bleed, but I'm a sucker for pain and I went back.

My second visit was even more disastrous. The lady put way too much polish on my nails and the air dryer was so powerful I ended up with ripples in my nail polish. The lines were so crooked on two of my fingers that I had her redo them.

I'm finally finished with this place- I have neither the time nor the money to waste on the amateurs they have in this place.

I went here for $5 crab leg night and it was awesome! Caution: dress up! I felt like a bum in jeans and a shirt. The ladies and gentlemen were dressed to impress and for good reason. This place turns into a dancehall at night with a DJ and strobe-light dancefloor.

The food was good and adding fried shrimp to the crab legs was divine! I ate like a cow and went home happy :)

I went to the Ritz for Lumen Bar, the hotel bar, for drinks with a few girls. The lounge is smaller than it looks on the hotel's website and I liked it better when it was a tea room (I had fabulous afternoon tea there last year!). We didn't stay for drinks because the place was dead.

If you're gonna go here, take some friends so you're not by yourself.

I finally ate at this restaurant on the ground floor of the W one night after drinks at Whiskey Blue.

I was a little disappointed with the service, it was not very prompt for the amount of people that were in the restaurant (maybe 12). I ordered a pizza with lamb sausage and goat cheese which was more delicious than I expected it to be.

The other person who ate with me was happy with her meal, but agreed that after drinks at the W and valet parking- our wallets were a little lighter than we expected them to be. Be sure to double check your budget and wallet before enjoying a night out at the W!

I stayed here during a business trip and it was okay. The beds were comfortable and the maids were attentive and thorough. I made the mistake of leaving stacks of quarters from the laundry room out on the counter for a few days and the day before I left I guess they thought it was a tip cause they took them. I didn't complain because I shouldn't have left them out. Plus, the front desk had been very helpful with all my needs (I'm high maintenance, unfortunately).

Otherwise, the heated pool was very clean and I saw the maintenance department testing the water every morning I was there. The fitness center was small, but had everything you need except space to do yoga.

I saw less stressed travelers enjoying the bar and watching the football game on large screens. I would recommend eating meals here, the restaurants were frequented fairly heavily throughout the day.

The only downside: at night, the vents and plumbing made a lot of rumbling and rattling noises, but I slept fairly well, which is so important when you're traveling for business.

I was so sick of all my issues with this hotel that I complained while I was there, when I was leaving and called back to complain some more. The manager claimed they were addressing my concerns, but my stay was so awful I declined her offer for a free night.

First, the advertisements for this hotel claimed they had new, super comfortable beds. I made my reservation and upon my arrival- surprise! Only the king size beds are new and super soft. The twin beds for business travelers are rock hard and have wicked rebound, so don't flop down too hard on these.

Second, at check-in, I asked to be moved off the ground floor to avoid the noise of people coming and going in the lobby, computer area, et cetera. The person signing me in neglected to tell me that he was moving me onto the one area of the hotel that was for smokers. My room reeked of smoke for the rest of the trip. We were unable to move because the other person in my room became ill during the stay and didn't have the energy to move. To cope with the smoke we got an air purifier. Here are the issues we had with borrowing an air purifier :
 
They told us to give it back when we were done because other guests might need to borrow it. We were there for a week and I was not about to give it up.

The damn thing was so noisy we only turned it on for ten minute increments.

Right. So the last thing should have been a selling point for the hotel: free internet. It would have been great- if the service had worked more than half the time we were there. When it did work, the signal was too weak to connect to my job's VPN and also too weak to stream video to keep me entertained.

The times the internet did not work were downright frustrating. Even the people who went downstairs to use THE guest computer were experiencing difficulty with the internet connection. When I complained to the management, they claimed it was getting fixed, but as of my departure that Friday night, it had been broken for all of the five nights I had been there.

       The manager told me she would ask corporate why they were advertising new beds instead of new king-size beds, the internet man was there, and she was sorry i was not told about the smoker's section.

Too little, too late Jameson Inn.

Come to think of it- the breakfast was also disappointing; the food just wasn't all that great and I wish I had just stayed at the Doubletree like I was planning before I saw this place.

When I first went here, a classmate took me, but I have taken my family and some friends since then. The hot chocolate is the best I have ever had! I love the shrimp & sausage cheese grits. Everything else is pretty good, too. Everyone who goes with me likes whatever they have. It's can be expensive if you order everything you want, but it's well worth it. Beware the Sunday brunch crowd........

I went here twice and both times I went during non-adult hours. The Saturday afternoon was pleasant, there was only a kids' daycamp there and they were mostly running through the arcade. I went again on Saturday night (big mistake!). There were kids everywhere, cramping the style of most of the people I was with.

It was almost impossible to skate without being run into and they observed no skate rules.

On the upside, the floor here is good and I'll have to try adult night sometime to see what it's like for those of us over 16.

I had never noticed this place before I went to J. Christopher's one afternoon and missed their closing time. Me and a friend enjoyed the best Thai/Asian fusion in Georgia off of I-75.

The food was served in ample portions and the flavor was just right, not too spicy, but not bland or watered-down. The decor feels like the inside of a nice South Asian hotel and the prices are family-friendly.

Unfortunately, this place is overpriced for what you get. There aren't that many choices in Shreveport and I think this place was elevated to a higher status than deserved because it has the feel (fireplace, oversupply of waiters, high prices) of a big city steakhouse.

My 7 ounce sirloin was $30 and it came with no sides. I ordered whipped potatoes on the side; they were good, but $35 is too much for an undressed, mediocre steak and some creamed potatoes.
