I am painfully full of really toothsome and savory food,having just returned from my fourth visit to Spice Route. They have delicious food, and a HUGE lunch buffet (including a dessert section that has at least half a dozen things, sometimes more) that features a lot of wonderful dishes that I don't usually see in Indian buffets.  The food is fresh and hot and well-spiced.

They do the lunch buffet on the weekend as well and despite the fact it's a pretty large place, it's jam-packed. (We got in around 1:30 and still had to wait a bit to get a table.) Well on its way to becoming my favorite restaurant in Redmond, certainly at the top of the list of Indian restaurants in the area.

Shares the parking lot with Fred Meyer and Chuckie Cheese and a bevy of other shops - be prepared to walk at least a little way.

Great food, beautiful restaurant. Service? Not so much. Among the things our waiter, whose name was Krishna, did was walk away in the middle of taking our order to take a phone call and vanish for ten minutes, during which time we saw him take another table's drink order and serve it, go into the kitchen multiple times, and stand behind the bar chatting with people.

The only time he exhibited enthusiasm was while upselling naan, at which point he told the table what they wanted instead of listening to what we asked for. This resulted in enough naan to feed an army arriving a good five minutes after the meal had started. To be fair, it was GREAT naan, but by that point nobody wanted any.

Water refills? HA. Check to see if the food was okay? HA.  After we'd waited for twenty minutes after the meal was over, I finally had to go up and ask for the check.

He rolled his eyes when asked for a take-home box, rang our orders up incorrectly, added charges we hadn't been warned about, and was, actually, the worst waiter I have had in forty years of dining. He is now the gold standard for bad service.

If I hadn't taken guests there for a special meal, I wouldn't be so irritated by this, but now I know better than take anyone there again. I'll probably go back for the buffet, but deal with that waiter again? Never. Show owner comment »

These folks are great, really understanding and obviously care about the animals they take care of. You are paying Redmond prices, but it's not as bad here as at some other local vets, and the care and attention they give the animal makes it well worth it.

I was impressed that they took the time to call the day after our visit to see how the cat was doing today. I've tried several places in Redmond (avoid VCA!), and this is the one I'm sticking with.

Really a fun way to explore the downtown area a bit and learn interesting (and spooky) Seattle history. Our guide Heather was well-informed and personable.

I've been going to Victor's for a while now but finally the nastiness of the owner has driven me to find someplace else. I recommend the coffee at Soul Food Books, a few blocks away, where they are invariably friendly and welcoming. If you don't mind driving a little further, Kitanda has the best coffee in Redmond, or Jitters offers drive-up service with coffee that matches anything Victor's can offer. All three are also local businesses and I'd rather support places that believe in customer service.

Do NOT use these people. Google around and you will find multiple reports from people who have been scammed by them.  I'm currently facing $1600 in repairs from damage caused by their technician, who left in the middle of the job, and then never came back, despite multiple attempts to reach him and the company.

How could any adult birthday be complete without a very special cake?  This place features a wide variety of inventive pastries...VERY inventive at times.

The atmosphere makes this a great date restaurant, in my opinion. -- you're sitting on the floor in a room hung with tapestries so it feels like the inside of a tent.  The food's terrific, and the presentation is a lot of fun, although our waiter seemed a little bored with it all.  I suggest making reservations, it was pretty busy while we were there.

A lovely sunny place to take the kids after a scrumptious brunch at Cafe Flora across the way.  Beautiful toys and lots of fun, out of the normal, stuff.  Hard to keep kids from getting too handle friendly.
