Bonus points: it is one of the few establishments that open on a Sunday near the DT Binghamton area. YAY!
Restroom: Spacious, clean, also attractive -muy importante. There is only one though so on crowded nights you might have to wait to use it. The good thing is that I live about 4 blocks away, I can always run home. Other customers might not have that advantage. Yet another reason for you to move DT.
Tables: nicely distributed, we took one by the front window.
Service: very pleasant, our server had to look up the items that we were ordering which made the process kind of slow but I imagine that as she becomes more experienced she will be superb.
The food: I ordered the Lard Nah with chicken. It is typically not a spicy dish but I ordered it with 4 stars of heat out of five. Although the first bite I took made my face red the rest was hot enough to cause me that pleasant pain that I associate with eating Thai food. The sauce was good (not greasy) and the portion was of a good size -enough to feed a good appetite but not so large that I would overeat and then feel horrible about myself. It was so good that had it been larger I would have continued to eat it even if I had been full, so I am glad it was just perfect.
My husband ordered the Thai Chili with chicken. The flavor was a pleasant melange of sweet and sour. The chunks of pineapple made it a very refreshing dish.
One of our friends ordered the Pad Thai and we all tasted it, it was good though I missed the lime wedges that other restaurants serve it with to add a bit of tang. Another one of our friends ordered a coconut based curry also with chicken, which in my opinion was the star of our evening. I will order that dish next time.
The bill: affordable. We each paid about 11 dollars for our dinner plus taxes and tip. Since they don't have their liquor license so you can bring your own wine or your own beer or both making it even more affordable.
