This "thin" bar is exactly the kind of place you should stop by before a sprint center game or show because you won't have to pay $5 for a boulevard. No fake attitude. It's not a tourist spot. Only authentic locals offering up a smile and a reasonably priced PBR.

Drinks are expensive but worth it. Remember kiddos, these are COCKTAILS. one will likely knock off your girlfriend's bud light drinking shoes :P just teasing ya. They make their own ice specific for the drink/glass and its just a welcoming place with friendly staff. Drinks are organized by base liquor (rum, whiskey, vodka, etc) and it's kinda hard to decide what to get. It's all an adventure and Ryan Maybee does a good job of creating a story or illusion.
It's not really a "secret" bar but it's not advertised, there's no standing room, it's small and it's in a basement. The place is dark and the play music, but not so loud that you can't hear a conversation easily.
This place is kind of like Firefly but the drinks are more gourmet and the place is hidden even more. Buzz yourself in if you get the chance, but don't tell too many people (I still want to get in!)

I'm a fan and I like the hole-in-the-wall feel but Tivoli is going to be a relic soon enough (Summer/Fall 09).

Loud music
Dirty feel
Dance friendly atmosphere
Tons of really drunk attention-needy kids
What I DID find was:
Chill, music but not too loud
Very clean
Decent selection of wine and original cocktails
Hidden and relaxed vibe
I tried the signature drink. I wasn't blown away, but I enjoyed it. I really liked the vibe. I loved how the music wasn't so damn loud. Just about every bar these days tries to overpower you with music. I can see this bar being wonderful to hit on girls. Why? You can actually hear a conversation. There are plenty of bars that fill your dance, dirty bar, and crazy drunk quota. This place was really nice to get grab a booth, get a little food and hang out with some friends. You don't have to be going wild to enjoy this place

Cosentino's Downtown Market

So far. So good. As time goes by, we'll see how they handle things, but Cosentino's has handled the big rush for the first two days of being open. They've been friendly and helpful and are happy to cater to your needs.
Plenty of parking and just the right size. They will help you take your groceries to your car ( the carts, like other grocery stores, lock up if you try to leave with them).
The prices are comparable to any other KC grocer and I'm one of many so glad this place opened.

It's mostly filled with chains and has a very corporate feel to it. That being said. It's still pretty fun and like I always say, it's not where you go, it's who you go with.
Yes, it is expensive. A couple tips: hit up Raglan Road for good beer for the same price as the rest of the area. Go inside the bars to buy your drinks, it's usually cheaper unless one of those stands is having a special. Drink heavily to fit in.

I will be going back.
