Waited half an hour with our reservation. Annoying that we had to stand in the tiny hallway up against a whole lot of strangers and people trying to get in and out of the restaurant.

Wow. Legit butcher. REALLY short drive from downtown KCMO.
Awesome tacos on saturdays? What else can I add really? The pork on a spit was damn good. Looks like a kebab setup. You can eat there at some cheap tables or take it to go.
Watch out for which direction you come from. Turning from the left lane and one ways around the building make it a little confusing. Do follow google maps to a T.
Was happy to see an awesome selection of REAL hot dogs and sausages. Great prices.
So much better meat than what Cosention's or Fresh Market provides.

Yeahhh some of it is a bit overpriced, but damn! It's a great corner shop and friendly butcher.
Besides the meat, which of course is the main draw, definitely check out the other aisles where they have a great stock of mustards, bbq sauces, hot sauces, etc. While there isn't 50 different Kraft or Best Choice sauces, these are better. Some local, some regional, and plenty of unique!
Definitely love their small servings of pre-frozen meat and soups. I'm a frequent traveler and having these around has allowed me to actually cook once in a while!

Joshua was very nice. The massage prices he has are a great value. He went wayyy over time just so that he completed his work thoroughly. He doesn't give the 'Ow that hurts' kind of massage that your body feels entirely worked over, but it's relaxing and my legs and butt (?) definitely were a bit sore the next day.
Cheap, delicious quick. What else can you ask for? It's tacos like you get from a good quality taco truck on the west coast.
For some reason, so many mexican places downtown can't serve a regular classic taco. While I can appreciate a deep fried taco (and los corrals has a good one), the good ol' cilantro, meat and cheese taco is wonderful.
Will have to come back to try what else they have. Give more salsas a chance.

Chicken was great. Grilled well. Greasy in a good way. Not dry at all. House sauce is a mix of herbs, olive oil and seemed like garlic. It was tasty. Jalapeno mash was good. Definitely had a kick that I enjoyed. Overall, well executed.
Loses a star because it was $15+ for chicken and a side. It was not enough to split between two people, but as a one, I didn't want to get a wrap. So I ended up getting too much side, just barely enough chicken and it was pricey. I guess you get to pay for the care of the chicken. Only way this could be a value is if you're getting a a full chicken, a side or two and split it with someone. Otherwise, just go wra.

Neat bar.
Pretty solid cocktails. Nothing extraordinary but were well balanced and executed. Life didn't change, but you know, it was chill. I'd call it the neighborhood speakeasy with no story, but a little space and extreme simplicity.

Expect lovely music, cocktails of quality and price, and an atmosphere of required class.
As I only come through NYC on spurts for work, I'm not entirely familiar with the historic institutes of the city. Clearly, this place has established itself in a unique position for luxury and relaxation.
Tactically, I wouldn't recommend bringing more than a few people here. This spot is better for 2-3 at a time. The drinks were great, even if expensive. They were well balanced, not overly sweet or sugary.

Unfortunately, I did not have the Pork Shank. I tried a bit of my neighbor's Pork Shank and it was amazing Honestly, it was more like a a big bone with tender pork rib meat that just fell right off. It looks amazing. My one taste was awesome.
Atmosphere is nice. Not too dark. No too bright. Not sure if the decor has ever been redone but is entirely trendy at the moment.
