I guess this is a decent sporting goods store, but the employees! They seem so sad, uninterested, and not very knowledgeable about sporting goods!
Are they zombies? Or perhaps underpaid? I don't know.
Management should stop forcing the men to wear neckties and start forcing them to know/care about their merchandise!

This is a small park, but it's nice. There's a playground, a few trees, and some nice landscaping. It could be a good spot for a picnic, but there's only one picnic table with significant shade, and people come pretty early to grab it!

There's a picnic table chained to a tree. There's a trash can, also chained to a tree. The picnic tables are decorated with some very impressive handlettering. Some future sign painters are out there in La Habra practicing with magic markers!
Also: there's some swampy ground and holes filled with water. These appear to be located near some kind of city utility meters, so maybe there's a problem with the plumbing?

They keep it way too cold in here. All that energy use can't be environmentally-friendly!

Actual: The park contains an abandoned, ramshackle building which appears to be a restroom, but which is locked with chains and metal gates.

This is one of those weird stores that seems to come from some wacky poet's imagination. It's beauty and chaos combined into one little glasses shop. The selection is good, if unpredictable. You'll find some real winners here if you look, and for very reasonable prices.
Be careful of the maelstrom of clutter surrounding you, though. I set down my current pair of glasses and almost didn't find them again.
The man who runs this shop is a charming and helpful fellow (whose name is not actually "Smith"). He's more organized than he looks; I was afraid he would lose my prescription, but he conducted the whole deal utterly professionally, and mailed my glasses to me in California, charging me only for postage.

The sign on the door says they open at 7am. At 7:21am, the neon "OPEN" sign blazed with light.
Yet the doors were locked and the restaurant was clearly not open.

I usually go to Supercuts. But I wanted to try something slightly more classy to see if there's an appreciable difference. So when I needed a haircut, based on what I had read on Yelp, I decided to go to Old Glory. I got there before they opened on Saturday morning, so I was the first customer of the day.
As a barber by the name of Chuck was cutting my hair, I pondered whether it was a good or bad thing to come in first thing in the morning. I mean, maybe the barbers should warm up, or loosen up a bit before touching my hair.
But it worked out well. I'm happy with the haircut. Chuck was fast and cheerful, and the price was decent. Still not sure if it's worth the extra ten bucks over Supercuts if you're getting a basic haircut, but I haven't any complaints.
